  That nocturnal Parisian vibe, with confessions and glamorous makeup powders, we’ve heard it in other perfumes before. The dry-down of musk with Teint de Neige also doesn’t bring me anything new. It smells great, it’s well-made, projects, and lasts, but Goutal is boring me lately with their launches and doesn’t surprise at all. Rating: 5

  Smells like Paris at night, with those expensive secrets and powders that have already been revealed in other fragrances. The musk note with Teint de Neige doesn’t add anything new. The scent smells good, projects well, and lasts, but lately Goutal is boring me with their launches and doesn’t surprise me. Rating: 5

  Wow, what a cool perfume. It makes me feel super special and comfortable. The bottle is gorgeous, simple, and elegant, and with the pom-pom it gets a bit coquettish. I got it at a good price and I love it, even if it runs out, I’ll buy it again even at the regular price. I have an 11-year-old son, a curious little nose that surprises me every day and is already interested in my modest collection. He loves rummaging through my closet, testing fragrances, and giving me opinions that I value so much. This is his favorite for me, the one he wants to smell all day because it smells divine. When I step out, I’m surprised by the blend of black pepper and bergamot; it’s very balanced and reminds me a bit of a certain children’s eau de toilette. The evolution is gorgeous, delicious; I don’t notice the incense from the description, which I appreciate because I usually don’t like it. I do slightly notice the white flowers, tonka bean, and musk, and this combination evolves wonderfully on my skin. It lasts more than 8 hours and people smell it and love it. I use it anytime, day or night, and it works well in both cold and heat. It’s very versatile. I imagine a simple, pretty, and nice girl or woman of any age who, at dusk, dresses up with a sophisticated touch (maybe with makeup or a voluminous navy blue scarf around her neck) and goes for a stroll in Montmartre. I don’t reach that level, but the truth is it has conquered me. It might seem simple, but there’s quality, good craftsmanship, and great taste here.

  Charming and sophisticated, it makes me feel special, comfortable, and secure. Buy it now. I love its simple yet elegant bottle, which becomes playful and attractive with the pom-pom. I got it at a good price, which I like even more, but if I run out, I’ll buy it at the regular price if necessary. I have an 11-year-old son, a curious little nose that surprises me every day and is starting to get interested in my modest collection. He loves to sniff around, try fragrances, and gives me advice that I really value. This is his favorite perfume for me; he wants to smell it all day because it smells delicious. At first spray, I was surprised by the blend of black pepper and bergamot; it’s very balanced and reminds me a bit of a kids’ eau de toilette. The evolution is beautiful and delicious; I don’t perceive the incense mentioned in the description, which I appreciate because I usually don’t like it. However, I do slightly detect white flowers, tonka bean, and musk, and this combination evolves wonderfully on my skin. It lasts more than 8 hours, people notice it, and they love it. I use it anytime, day or night. I’ve found it pleasant in both cool and hot weather. It’s very versatile. I imagine it’s worn by a simple, pretty, and nice girl or woman of any age who, at sunset, dresses up with a touch of sophistication to go for a stroll in the Montmartre neighborhood. I don’t quite reach that level, but the truth is, it has conquered me. It might seem simple, but there’s quality, good craftsmanship, and great taste here.

  It’s basically a very sweet gourmand vanilla. It opens with boozy fruity notes and bergamot, then blends into a creamy, caramelized vanilla with hints of smoke and flowers. At this stage, it reminded me of Orchidee Vanille. As it dries down, the vanilla becomes more woody, though the fruity touches remain; I imagine it like a plum cake soaked in alcohol with vanilla cream. I understand the comparisons to Spiritueuse Double Vanille, but I don’t share that opinion: SDV is smokier, spicier, denser, more elegant, and has more nuances. Nuit et Confidences is more linear, simple, youthful, sweet, fruity, and feminine. The longevity is good, and the trail is noticeable for the first hour, then it stays close to the skin for another 6 hours. As a vanilla lover, what can I say? I love it and it’s addictive, but it’s not worth the price. It’s very linear and basic. Note: it has quality, but Goutal has better perfumes, and there are better and cheaper vanilla options available.

  ‘Nuit et confidences’ is basically a super sweet gourmand vanilla. It opens with bergamot and slightly boozy fruity notes. Quickly, a creamy caramelized vanilla joins with a touch of smoke and flowers. In this phase, it reminded me of ‘Orchidee Vanille’. It dries down to a slightly woody vanilla, though the fruity touches remain. I imagine a plum cake with vanilla cream. I understand why people compare it to ‘Spiritueuse Double Vanille’, but I don’t share that opinion. SDV is a much smokier, boozy, spicy, dense, unisex, elegant vanilla with more nuances. ‘Nuit et Confidences’ is very linear and simple, more youthful, sweet, fruity, and feminine. The longevity is good and the sillage is noticeable for the first hour, then it stays close to the skin for another 6 hours. As a vanilla lover, what can I say? I love it and it’s a very addictive scent, but it’s not worth the price. It’s very linear and basic. Watch out, it has great quality, but Goutal has more outstanding perfumes and honestly there are better vanilla options on the market for less money.

  Sweet and with great projection, it comes in an adorable bottle. If you fall in love, for a tenth of the price you can grab Golden Sand by Al Rehab, but this one doesn’t quite convince me; it’s spicier and more mentholated. It reminds me of something cheap, though I’m not sure what, similar to Casablanca. I prefer Nuit et Confidences, but the price… oh!

  In a sea of vanillas, this one stands out boldly and competes with the best. It channels Guerlain’s Spiritueuse Double Vanille but with a velvety texture and more layers. The white flowers, smelling of magnolia, create a sweet suede accord with a fine fruity-red and spicy touch that prevents it from becoming cloying. It maintains a perfect balance for its season and is super sexy, easy to wear, and ideal for dates if the mood is right. Although it’s slightly more feminine, it hasn’t stopped me from using it. The performance is excellent, and in the shadow of Ninfeo Mio, it deserves more recognition. The quality justifies the investment, and at night, it leaves confidences and much more. Rating: 9.5/10.

  In a world where vanillas are everywhere in perfumeries, I think this one stands out strongly and ranks among the best. Nuit et Confidences has a clear inspiration in Guerlain’s Spiritueuse Double Vanille, or at least in the quality of its ingredients. However, this Goutal has a much more velvety texture and at least a couple more layers of aromas. I feel the white flowers are more magnolia, which with the full set give a sweet suede accord, even with a fine fruity touch like red fruit and a spicy note that’s the key to avoid being cloying. The sweetness of the scent has already been mentioned, but honestly I think it maintains a perfect balance for an expected seasonal use for something like this. I’m not one to categorize perfumes like this, but this one is really sexy, easy to wear, and if the attitude is right, it could be an ideal date perfume. Finally, it might be a bit more feminine, but it didn’t bother me to wear it at all. It has excellent performance and, in the shadow of Ninfeo Mio, I feel this one deserves more recognition. Can it recall other perfumes? Obviously, but the quality justifies what is asked, in my opinion, as rarely do I perceive it this way. Without a doubt, a scent that at night can leave confidences and many other things more. Note: 9.5/10 Tested on original brand sample.
