  • I absolutely love this fragrance. I first got it as a gift, and now that I’m running low, I need to know where to find it.

  • Perfect for kicking off the morning. Getting to work on time, enjoying those quiet moments before the chaos starts, maybe taking a few blocks under the sun, all while carrying the warmth of this 4711 gem. Sweet but classy enough to stand out. Top-notch value for money.

  • What a shame it doesn’t last, but it’s a shot of energy in the morning; you feel like drinking it, as they say around here.

  • Smells exactly like Frigo’s Popeye orange ice cream and I love it. Brings back memories of beach summers eating popsicles and playing Street Fighter. Doesn’t last long, but for €20 you get 170ml for the whole summer.

  • It smells exactly like the Popeye Orange Popsicle (I think that’s what they called it) from Frigo, and I love that. It brings back great memories of summers at the beach eating that popsicle and playing Street Fighter in the arcade after meals before heading to the sand. It doesn’t last long, but for 20€ you get 170ml to enjoy all summer.

  • Starts with a beautiful orange, then the basil comes out. At first, I like it and it seems realistic, then it turns sour and smells like cilantro, with a cheap artificial peach note, like chewed pip skin. A pity. I don’t understand the comparison with Orange Verte.

  • The opening has a beautiful orange, and within seconds the basil appears. At first, I like it and it seems realistic, but then it degenerates into something like cilantro (leaf, not seed), becomes more sour, and has a terrible peach facet: those artificial, cheap peaches found in many fragrances that smell a lot like chewed sunflower seeds. Such a pity. I don’t understand the comparison to Orange Verte.

Perfect for post-shower. The best in the collection. The blood orange fades quickly, leaving a basil scent, slightly soapy.

  • A lovely orange, not intrusive, slightly sweet but not cloying. Doesn’t last long, but the scent harmonizes with me. Worth it.

  • Passable, sweeter than I expected. The basil is barely noticeable. It’s not bad or annoying, but among the 4711s, it’s the one I like the least. It sounds more feminine or childish.

  • I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings since I see this is a popular cologne, but I don’t get how anyone uses the word ‘sweet’ for this 4711 flanker when it has a very strong bitterness from a note that makes me cough, please, does anyone else experience this? I’m not a fan of sugary scents; I love fresh and citrusy ones, but this one just doesn’t work for me. I also find it hyper-masculine in a not-so-nice way; I don’t even see it as unisex, a category I move around in a lot, nor do I see it as feminine. It’s a shame because the concept promised so much that I bought it blindly. What could have gone wrong? Even the bottle seemed beautiful and is, but with the contents… I can’t even share a room, and I’m very sensitive to scents.

  • No offense, but I don’t get how anyone calls this 4711 flanker ‘sweet’; it has a strong bitterness that makes me cough. I’m not a sugar fan, I love fresh and citrus, but this isn’t it. Smells hyper-masculine and unpleasant, neither unisex nor feminine. What a shame, the concept attracted me and I bought it blind. The bottle is gorgeous, but the scent is so strong I can’t share a room.

  • Rich aroma 😍 with floral, citrus notes and a bitter touch. Goes anywhere. Incredible longevity: 8h on skin and 12h on clothes. Decent sillage. Although marketed as unisex, I (a man) detect a feminine tint, but anyone can wear it. Fresh and exquisite, ideal for heat but works anytime. 100% recommended 🕉️

  • Top-tier scent, super delicious 😍😋. It’s floral, citrusy, with a bitter twist. Goes great anywhere or anytime. Lasts over 8 hours on skin and more than 12 on clothes. The sillage is decent—not huge but perfectly fine. Marketed as unisex, but to me it leans feminine; still, anyone can wear it (I’m a guy and I rock it). Very fresh and exquisite, ideal for heat but works year-round. 100% recommended 🕉️🕉️🕉️

4711 Blood Orange & Basil: Starts with a citrus-aromatic burst, then turns sweet with the basil, ending just as fresh. Lasts 3-4 hours (1-2 hours projection). Shines and lasts longer in heat; in cold, barely an hour. Versatile for any time and place.

  • 4711 Blood Orange & Basil: Opening: Citrusy and aromatic. Heart: The citrus becomes sweeter and more aromatic with the basil. Dry down: Stays just as fresh and aromatic as before. Projection and longevity: Projects for 1-2 hours and lasts 3-4. Verdict: Fresh, citrusy, with green notes from the basil. Works amazingly in the heat, but in the cold it barely lasts half an hour. Its big plus is that it suits any moment and place.

One of my favorites, though Fragrantica wrongly labels it as just citrus; it has anise and basil clove notes that make it sweet and spicy. If you’re looking for fresh herbal with a hint of sweetness, this is yours. It smells like complex, special basil, not the culinary kind everyone knows.
