I get sweet roses with a mentholated touch. It feels sexy, fun, fresh, clean, and quite feminine. It has good longevity and enough projection to be noticed, so just two sprays are enough. When would I wear it? Out with friends, parties, or gatherings, day or night, in spring, fall, or winter. Would I buy it again? Yes, it’s worth it. Great job, Givenchy!

I adore Givenchy but this disappointed me; I was looking for the Eau Parfum or Collector version and they weren’t available. I liked it at the counter, but at home it doesn’t last or project. You let me down, dear Givenchy.

Weak longevity: starts with strong anise, then rose, but the patchouli never arrives. If I rub my nose, I might catch it hours later. Fresh floral for spring days, not my favorite due to the unpleasant anise; I prefer sweet and fruity scents.

The most versatile of the Very Irresistibles. When I smell it on a woman, I’m immersed in a rose garden and it puts me in a good mood. Unlike the EdP, it’s not as sensual; it simply pleases me and gives joy. That rose with anise is very long-lasting, though its projection is moderate, which gives it distinction. It works well in any climate except extreme heat and anywhere except a nightclub. It makes a woman of any age look more interesting. A coworker uses it at least twice a week and it looks great on her. I gave it to my wife, and she doesn’t like it as much; she prefers gourmands, so I think she applies it just to please me. I’m surprised LVMH hasn’t reformulated it much, even though they say the longevity has dropped—I don’t notice that change in my circle.
