Very Irresistible Givenchy Fresh Attitude by Givenchy is a woody aromatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2007, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Pierre Wargnye. • My daughter gave it to me back in 2009, and I eventually wore it out without smelling it again… But its memory effect is so strong that I still recall the coffee, mint, and lavender base. It was elegant yet versatile, and back then, perfumes lasted longer. The particular thing is that it was warm with a touch of freshness.

The perfect cologne for summer and daytime. Super fresh, tastes like grapefruit. Soft and refreshing. It’s exactly what you need to move around the city in the heat.

  • Smells amazing, super fresh and rich. To me, it sounds like citrus and lavender. At first, there’s a sweet touch that fades once it settles on the skin. As people say, it’s perfect for summer, though I also wear it on sunny mornings and it looks luxurious. The trail and longevity are good, though sometimes it can be a bit intense. I recommend it to guys who want to feel fresh, attractive, and clean, but with attitude 😀 I give it an 8.5/10.

  • It’s a very peculiar perfume because, although it’s super fresh, it has an enormous trail; it’s sweet and elegant. On my skin, I notice the mint and citrus (bergamot and grapefruit) with great strength. The coffee accompanies it softly, adding elegance and depth. I think the sweetness comes from the lavender, which becomes noticeable after a while. I wear it on hot summer nights when I want to turn heads, because it makes a presence and doesn’t go unnoticed. Its longevity is about seven hours. I love how it smells, but I think they don’t sell it anymore.

  • Well, in my opinion, it smells just like Black Animal, or almost. The citrus top notes fade quickly, leaving a sweet, floral, and woody scent, ideal for daily wear, day or night, without being annoying. It’s a bit more floral and fruity than the Black, but very similar. It’s worth it because it costs half the price.

  • It’s a very peculiar perfume: although it’s very fresh, it has quite a large sillage. It’s sweet and very elegant. On my skin, I perceive the mint and citrus notes (bergamot and grapefruit) with great intensity. The coffee accompanies it softly, adding elegance and depth. I think the sweetness comes from the lavender, perceptible after the fragrance evolves. Personally, I use it on hot summer nights when I want to turn heads, as it makes a presence and doesn’t go unnoticed. Its longevity on my skin is approximately seven hours. The truth is, I love how it smells, but I believe it’s already discontinued in the market.

  • I confirm it has been discontinued; I’ve visited several perfumeries in search of it without success. What a pity, as it was a great perfume.

I bought this discontinued fragrance yesterday in a 100 ml presentation. It has some similarity to Very Irresistible, but it moves more like a fresh, light, and summery proposal, less gourmand and without the elegance of its older sister. After checking the batch code, I confirmed it was produced in 2007, the year of its launch. I doubt it was reformulated, as it was more of a limited edition. You mainly feel the mint, lavender, and citrus (in smaller proportions), losing the presence of the coffee note that gave warmth and refinement to its predecessor. This one is more synthetic and has an aura, if I may say, “detergent-like.” Additionally, it has a murky note, something animal, evoking the smell of old books; I don’t know what ingredient causes this. Although the aroma is pleasant and unique, its low projection and longevity are disappointing. Upon application, it fades to skin scent, and its longevity doesn’t exceed 3 or 4 hours. The redeeming factor is that the bottle and box are beautiful and eye-catching. Knowing Very Irresistible Fresh Attitude, I’ve learned to appreciate the good performance of Givenchy like Xeryus Rouge and, especially, Gentlemen Only, with outstanding longevity and projection and an interesting dry-down. Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 4/10 Projection: 5/10 Versatility: 8.5/10 Price: 8/10.

  • I agree with FanDeDuneVintage on all his points. I just bought this fragrance a week ago in its 50 ml presentation and have been searching for it for over a year due to the good reviews. I think we might be looking at the last pieces here in Mexico, as it’s no longer commercially available and I had a hard time finding it. I understand FDDV’s disappointment; I also value projection and longevity. The opening is mentholated with citrus and a light touch of lavender; I didn’t detect the coffee and must confess it feels synthetic. It’s a pleasant aroma with superb projection at first, but I was wrong thinking it would last. After two hours, the intensity drops to moderate, then weak, and then it’s almost gone. I felt a sense of abandonment. It’s likely it has undergone reformulations, as it’s far from the comments from those who owned it during its golden era.

Thanks to a swap, I got a 7 ml decant of this discontinued perfume. Upon spraying, you notice the citrus with coffee and mint, accented by an animalic basil; this makes it strong for a summer scent. You also feel the lavender, which gives it a classic presence. After 1 or 2 hours, it sits very close to the skin, with the basil and a bit of coffee standing out. Although it has good sillage, the longevity and projection are modest; after 3 hours, it’s almost gone. Maybe with more application it would last an hour longer (at most two). I recommend it for warm days or nights, as it becomes a bit heavy and sweet once applied. Overall, it’s interesting, but the original is much better in every aspect.

  • When I heard it was being discontinued, I searched high and low and managed to grab two 100 ml bottles. I don’t know why they took it off—whether it was a special edition or due to low sales; if it’s the latter, I don’t get it, because it’s a fresh and different perfume that many people could enjoy.

As a collector of discontinued bottles, I went to my favorite perfumerie in Gran Canaria to hunt down this survivor to take home. In a place like the Canary Islands, with 23 degrees and high humidity, this ozonic cut is an obvious ally. It’s a classic fresh scent with inoffensive projection and medium longevity that depends on the heat. Very Irresistible Fresh Attitude is ideal for that, and more. Its summery character prevents it from being too intense, while maintaining the essence of its predecessor. It reminds me of the mint and coffee combo from Givenchy, like After Eight mints melting in your mouth. I imagine finishing a cocktail on a terrace and feeling that burst of mint and basil that brings to mind Jean-Paul Belmondo walking down the Champs-Élysées in August, like in ‘The Last Metro’. The fragrance hits hard and fades fast, but it’s memorable. Note: 8/10.

As a collector of lost bottles, I went to my favorite perfumerie in Gran Canaria to find this survivor. In a place with 23 degrees and high humidity, this ozonic cut is ideal. These are fresh fragrances designed for the heat, with soft projection and medium longevity. Very Irresistible Fresh Attitude fits perfectly: it’s summery and keeps the essence of its predecessor. It reminds me of After Eight mints melting. I take the last sip of my cocktail on the terrace, and a burst of mint and basil brings Jean-Paul Belmondo to mind in Paris under suffocating heat. Like in the Godard film, the fragrance fades abruptly but lingers in memory. Rating: 8/10.

  • My daughter gifted me this in 2009, and I eventually used it up without smelling it again, but the memory is so strong that I still catch hints of coffee, mint, and lavender. It was elegant and versatile, and back then, perfumes lasted longer. What’s curious is that it was warm with a fresh twist.

  • Greetings! This has been the fragrance with the worst performance on my skin of all the prestigious brands I’ve tried. Its trail, projection, and sillage are low; it lasts a maximum of 1 to 1.5 hours. It literally evaporates like light smoke. I prefer the original version; this one, while elegant, doesn’t smell as good. Maybe it could work as a post-shower lotion. It smells sweet and semi-mentholated, but the coffee note smells very synthetic and poorly made. I don’t recommend it. Longevity: 2.5/10 Versatility: 3.5/10 Projection: 4/10 Sillage: 4/10 Scent: 4.5/10 Total: 4/10.

  • At first, it smells weird, almost like glue (could it be the coriander?), but it fades incredibly fast. Then it turns citrusy and blends with lavender, leaving a very clean scent. In the end, there’s a warm touch, probably from the coffee, though it doesn’t smell like pure coffee. On clothes, at first, it reminded me of a cannabis leaf; it was funny.
