It’s a very natural and bright citrus that lasted incredibly long on me—8 hours, which is rare for this type of fragrance. I’m not usually a fan of citrus, but I have to say it’s linear and charming. It gives off a very pleasant, easy-to-wear sense of freshness and cleanliness; it’s a citrus that doesn’t overwhelm despite being linear. The first hour’s sillage is delightful and draws compliments, then it settles into the skin without losing that bright, clean energy. I expected to smell something like soap due to the musk, but that’s not the case, nor does it feel powdery. While it’s made for hot days, I wear it in different climates and moments with excellent results.
If you try it, don’t let the first few minutes fool you; wait about 30 minutes to discover what this perfume truly is. Elegant and simple… it doesn’t need anything more. There’s a rule that applies to almost everything: ‘if it’s simple, make it perfect; if it’s complex, make it understandable.’ On skin, it projects moderately and lasts 8 hours, but it clings to my skin for almost a full 24 hours. On clothes, it projects for nearly 10 hours and is detectable for over 24. Maybe it doesn’t perform the same for everyone, but for me, it’s one of my favorites.
I bought this blind based on YouTuber recommendations. While I don’t dislike it, it wasn’t quite what I expected; the longevity on my skin really leaves something to be desired. The opening is a medium blast of lemon, so if you love citrus, you might adore it. What I like is the dry-down: simple, with that synthetic musk base, but it really smells clean, pleasant, and subtly nice.
A jewel of exclusivity and simplicity. It opens with penetrating green citrus notes, but then a relaxing white floral note takes over. It takes a while to dry down, which is when a pleasant, velvety vegetable musk emerges; even at this stage, the citrus remains effervescent without the initial sillage, while the subtle floral notes shine through. A great fragrance to both relax and get energized.
Among my favorites: the scent, quality, bottle, and presentation cover all the bases for me, earning a solid 10 out of 10 for spring-summer fragrances. It opens with a lemon note—sour-sweet like a lemonade—that projects well for 1-2 hours. If you go heavy with 5-6 sprays, it can feel suffocatingly citrusy at first, but once it dries down, it becomes much more wearable. It’s a white floral with a slight musk, perfect for day or night as long as there’s heat. It reminds me a bit of Starwalker, but obviously with better quality, swapping out that metallic tangerine for a leather-like, floral, musky, and dry lemon vibe.
Few perfumes generate serotonin like this Dior. Whenever I’m feeling down or unmotivated, I spray my arm and my mood changes instantly. It’s a revitalizing, energetic, and bright aroma. Plus, it has a sexy, sharp citrus that clears a path for only good vibes. I wear this and feel like Jason Statham on his worst day, ready to face whatever comes up.
Perfect. My favorite for summer. As others say, it’s energizing, fresh, simple, and elegant. I wish it lasted longer like winter perfumes, but it’s great for a fresh scent.
Too bad they reformulated it; it’s an amazing citrus, smells like fresh lemon and is very similar to Mancera Lemon Line. Perfect for hot days, but it fades in the cold. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with Zara Summer VL; that one is sharp, while this Dior is citrusy, a bit sweet, and elegant. Dior is Dior, worth having even if it doesn’t last more than 3 hours.
What a beautiful blend considering how simple it is. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients.
Brutal projection, performs well on skin. I’ve had this for 3 or 4 years and I’m going to buy it again because I tested it in Liverpool and I’m still head over heels for the scent.
Fresh and citrusy fragrance for warm seasons. Lemon aroma, very refined (it’s Dior). Poor projection and longevity.
It lives up to its name ‘cologne’ completely. Very simple but incisive composition. Perfect for a poolside meeting, with friends, and in the heat; its scent makes me crave some well-chilled margaritas. I had high expectations, and they were all met; the only downside is the longevity, very short, effectively 3-4 hours.
Explosive opening, astringent if applied below 30 degrees; it even made me sneeze. I don’t have much experience with fine fragrances, but it stands out from other designer ones in terms of composition quality; it’s not linear, and I feel the more I sweat, the more it projects. Good performance from this cologne; my 2021 batch is very nice.
Exquisite citrus, simple but refined aroma; I think having few notes makes it a fragrance for personal enjoyment. Pity its poor projection; it lasts longer on clothes.
Delicious smell; I discovered it while looking for something fresh with floral and citrus notes, nothing marine, and WOW, what I found was heavenly. At first, it smells like natural citrus, as if you were dabbing your nose with bergamot juice; it smells good but nothing special comes out. The magic starts after 20 minutes, when a slight floral note emerges, the same experience: it smells NATURAL, as if you had flower petals on your nose. That floral note gives a soft, divine touch to the citrus juice, increases its dimension, and starts smelling more like a flower, all with a clean, sterile, white base. I visualize it as if a flower were born on sterilized cotton while bergamot juice rains on it; the more the flower grows, the less bergamot remains. If the sky had a scent, it would be this: fresh, addictive, and something I’ve never smelled before. WOW, I think it could be one of my favorites.
I bought it looking for something citrusy and different, and my disappointment was tremendous. On my skin, it doesn’t last more than 2 hours; on clothes, it lasts a bit longer. The trail is minimal, almost imperceptible. I don’t recommend it; the price doesn’t match the quality. It’s a very cheerful citrus scent that doesn’t change—pure lemon—but it lasts minutes. A hundred times better and almost identical alternative is Allure de Chanel Edition Blanc.
I like it, but it reminds me of lemon dish soap.
Honestly, in my opinion, it’s the best fragrance for the heat. It has class, cleanliness, and a very natural aroma. The simplicity of this fragrance is incredible.
A great fragrance, one of the best for summer; it smells delicious and could be my signature for hot days—I’d be happy with that. Regarding longevity, it’s not bad, but in my case, it fades to skin-level after 2 hours, though I’d still enjoy it a lot. It works for both informal and formal occasions, and you’ll smell luxurious… if the price doesn’t seem prohibitive, go for it! Otherwise, I understand that Zara has very similar perfumes that might be worth exploring.
Smells super generic; all the YouTuber hype is exaggerated. It’s not a real cologne, and if it were, it wouldn’t be in the top 100. It’s a fresh summer scent with a bergamot blast that lasts 4-5 hours but at a very short distance. Is it bad? No, it doesn’t even fail for lack of complexity. Is it good? No, it’s not enough. For summer, there are better, cheaper options like L’Eau d’Issey Miyake, Prada L’Homme L’Eau, or Montblanc Starwalker. It doesn’t even have the necessary Mediterranean herbs as a cologne, though it’s lightyears above Acqua di Parma, Creed Pure White, or the discontinued Gentleman Cologne by Givenchy. If you want a citrus EDT and don’t mind spending 20€ more than necessary, it’s worth it.
So simple, yet so beautiful at the same time. Citrus, grapefruit flower, and musk. Totally unisex. Ideal for summer. Elegant, discreet, refreshing. It’s like opening a cold 7Up. It doesn’t stand out for its performance. I’d say it’s more for enjoying on your own or for brief occasions. I’d buy it again, because while there are similar options, this one has something that makes it unique.
From the very first moment, I couldn’t stop smelling it because of that super fresh and special aroma. Simple in declared notes, but its citrus opening from bergamot is beastly, very rich. Also, I feel the fragrance intensifies with more heat. As a negative, maybe it doesn’t have the best longevity, but it depends on each person’s skin to extend the scent more or less. It might be pricey, but for me, it’s one of the fragrances I always wanted in my collection.
Impeccable fragrance, fresh, simple, and delicious. Perfect for summer afternoons, linen dresses, cotton, pastel colors, or flowers. It denotes kindness, joy, sincerity, or innocence. In my opinion, a woman can wear it perfectly too and give it its own character.
With this fragrance, I finally found MY SCENT, exactly what I was looking for. Something citrusy with a slight sweet and floral touch. An elegant yet intimate fragrance that makes you feel good. Wonderful.
Dior Homme Cologne won me over little by little and is now an essential in my collection. How can such a simple composition smell so good? I don’t know, but Francois Demachy made it possible. It’s fresh, revitalizing, cheerful. Medium-to-low projection, but good longevity on my skin; I perceive it effortlessly all day.
This perfume brings me back to a trip to the San Andrés islands. As a citrus, it has quite acceptable performance in the heat. The issue is that it lacks masculinity; I never received a compliment wearing this.
I fell in love with Dior Homme Cologne, so simple and perfect. A cheerful, boyish aroma, nothing sexy. Good longevity, projects a lot without being invasive. I prefer it for spring.
One of the most natural citrus scents you can find in designer perfumes. I don’t know the 2022 formula, so I can’t speak to that version. The beauty lies in the simplicity and the quality of the aroma. They’ve said it all: it smells like green lemon, its peel, and orange blossom. I agree with those who say it intensifies or revives with heat or body humidity. I have a batch from 2013, and after 11 years, the aromatic chemical quality is almost intact. A must-have collection piece if you can find this discontinued one.
A pity, on my skin it doesn’t last more than an hour and a half; if I sweat, it’s gone even faster. The solution was to apply it more on clothes than skin, but since it’s so soft, the fabric softener eventually kills the scent after a while. Mmm, it’s tricky. It’s a great, delicious perfume, and just smelling it, you understand why it fades so quickly. It’s about knowing how to use it: fresh out of the shower or coming in and out of the gym. But for going out… by the time you reach your destination, you’re projecting nothing. This is totally a personal treat.
Pleasant? Yes, quite. Minimalist? 100%. Versatile for spring and summer? Definitely. Ingredient quality? High. But watch out: I know many citrus fragrances at nearly half the price that compete hand-to-hand. Common scent? Yes, and its longevity isn’t the best. Is it worth the price? For me, no. Respectable if you use it as a summer workhorse and it’s a must-have, I get it, but I preferred going for the 5oz Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma. It’s niche at designer prices (not similar, mind you!), I liked it more, it lasts longer on my skin, and the ingredient quality is equal or better. A solid bet from Dior with this Cologne, but I’d rather look at their Private Collection.
They lent it to me for a few days and… even though I’m pretty rough, it smells like a well-chilled Sprite. It lasts about 3 hours with all its might, but what 3 hours. It’s very nice; for summer, it must be one of the best I’ve ever felt. What a pity about the price—I don’t think I can afford it—but the experience of trying it indicates it’s another level of freshness and component quality.
Simple, tasty, elegant, expensive. I’m about to compare it with a very famous Adolfo Domínguez one since I tried it; I’ll return to tell you more…
It presents itself as a fresh, sunny morning with a view of a field of white flowers and citrus trees emitting their subtle aroma. The opening is somewhat poetic but gives you the inspiration you feel when wearing it. The dry-down is a soft, refreshing citrus that exudes class. It settles into a soft, slightly sweet, powdery musk. You can’t ask for more than 4 hours. The first two hours are its prime, with the first hour being the best. It doesn’t seek to overwhelm with its brief projection; rather, it aims to enchant the person near you with your aura of white cleanliness and class. I consider it fits the ‘old money’ style perfectly. Here’s to you…
I usually prefer complex perfumes, like most people who have been in this magnificent world for years. I love mysterious, novel, timeless aromas that challenge me with something new. Yet, despite all that, this composition by Master Demachy is madness. Yes, it declares only three notes, but honestly, it doesn’t need anything else in terms of aromatic quality. Simple but perfect. Dior quality in every sense. A fresh scent with a very natural bergamot. I love it. On days when the heat surpasses all limits, this perfume saves the day. The only thing I regret is the performance, but fine; sometimes we sacrifice natural aromas and make them synthetic just to last longer and keep customers happy. Here, it doesn’t last well, but nothing a good reapplication can’t fix. For me personally, 10/10. Simple and perfect, a refreshing lemonade. 100% unisex.
One of the freshest I’ve tried, with a very pleasant citrus note that lasts around 5 hours.
A lemonade scent, exquisite. The best cologne I’ve ever tried. Ideal for a day at the beach or pool. Its longevity isn’t great at all, but I think it’s worth having in your collection just for the aroma.
A delicious, modern perfume—a very realistic lemonade. Ideal for summer, extremely refreshing. It’s made for the masses, very simple and offends no one; perhaps that’s its flaw. I don’t recommend buying it due to its terrible performance, what a pity. Dior Eau Sauvage Cologne offers better longevity and projection, being a more challenging, complex, and gentlemanly scent for older audiences.
A refined and sophisticated perfume for summer or spring; it’s not overwhelming or annoying. A soft, delicate fragrance perfect for work or indoor settings. It’s predominantly citrusy, but I think it’s overpriced. I only bought it to try one of Dior’s offerings and was lucky enough to find it exquisite.
A classic Dior citrus fragrance. Totally unisex for me. Clean and fresh, ideal for summer. It has nothing extra and nothing missing. Excellent.
My favorite cologne. An exquisite citrus scent that’s a joy to wear, very refined and delicate. Beautiful. Unfortunately, due to its poor longevity and projection, it has limited use cases; it’s hard for others to notice it more than an hour and a half after application. Beyond that, regarding the fragrance itself, it’s gorgeous—its charm lies in its simplicity.
