What a pity. I can’t start better; it’s a shame that a well-executed fragrance has such poor performance. The projection and longevity are scarce (yes, I know, it’s cologne) and compromise the purchase. As for the scent, there’s no criticism to be made: herbal, green, spicy, and a bit woody. Like walking through a forest where fresh pepper has been spilled. It’s classic, not because it smells old, but because it’s timeless, elegant, and balanced. The juniper, pepper, and vetiver are the most noticeable; after half an hour, I notice something sweeter, but I wouldn’t say it’s sugar, more like cherry. The juniper gives it a refined touch, very natural, green, with a tiny boozy note, but don’t think it’s abrasive or smells like a bar; it’s just sparkly and refined, like gin. It’s harmless and versatile, suitable for both formal and casual events. I see it as more viable in warm seasons to squeeze out the performance, but with more power, I’d wear it in winter. Despite being unisex, the vetiver tips the scale toward masculine. Would I recommend it blindly? No, not for the scent but for the longevity; try it, and if you like it, go for it.
A delightful surprise after trying several Penhaligon’s; this was the first one that caught my attention. It’s particular, different from what’s out there today, I swear it has iris, I’ll be crazy if I’m wrong! I feel it’s powdery, vintage, completely unisex; on my skin, it develops a scent of old makeup and warm leather, elegant and addictive. I like it; I’d use it in spring and autumn during the day. Yes, it could get boring if you buy the big bottle; I think it’s better to alternate, whenever you want to smell different and feel comforted. Projection is almost skin-level, and longevity is very poor; it’s expensive for the performance, but for the scent, it’s worth trying.
A delightful surprise after trying several Penhaligon’s; this was the one that caught my eye. It’s unique and distinct from today’s trends—I swear it carries iris, I must be crazy! It feels powdery, vintage, and unisex: on my skin, it smells like old makeup and warm leather, elegant and addictive. I like it; I’d wear it during the day in spring and autumn. You might get bored if you buy the large bottle, so it’s better to alternate to smell different and feel comforted. Projection is skin-close, longevity is poor, and it’s pricey for the performance, but the scent alone makes it worth trying.
Original fragrance. It’s the second one where I’ve encountered angelica, which feels alongside the orange, berries, and pepper. The cherry is barely noticeable; I didn’t detect the cinnamon, a bit of leather and vetiver, and despite having sugar, it’s not sweet. If someone wants something different from what dominates the market, this is an option; it’s a peculiar, unisex scent, and I suggest testing it on skin before buying.
It’s a very different beast; what most confuses and surprises me is the orange, leather, and pepper. I’m no expert at all, but the waves of this, which come and go, fill me with freshness and brighten my day. Thanks, Oliver; it’s always appreciated when people work on beautiful and good things.
It’s a beast of a different kind; what really caught me off guard was that orange-leather-pepper combo. I’m not an expert, but those occasional bursts of freshness instantly put me in a good mood. Thanks, Oliver; we should always appreciate the ones who make beautiful things.
Definitely a work of art. The blend of citrus and sweet is on another level, and the delicate cherry notes seem like only I can detect them; my wife doesn’t pick them up, she just smells the cinnamon. It’s a perfume I’d wear every day, even though I like to switch up my scents weekly, but I could do it thanks to the freshness it projects. Beautiful, everything about it is beautiful, haha.
It starts with a citrus punch, and within seconds, you notice how it blends into an amber that smells like a pot full of herbs. A three-movement symphony! Cheers to the creators.
This has a citrus hit at the start that, after a few seconds, you notice blending with an amber that seems to have been soaked in a pot full of herbs. A three-movement symphony. Thanks to the creators.
Definitely a work of art. The citrus-sweet blend is on another level; I only catch the cherry notes, while my wife just smells the cinnamon. I’d wear it every day, though I usually switch up my scent weekly. This one would let me skip that habit thanks to its freshness. Everything about it is beautiful, haha.
It’s a great summer and spring perfume, ideal for daytime and casual occasions where you want to stand out with a fresh, cheerful, and energetic scent. The lotion smells like gin, quite fresh with a heady sensation. I find it very energizing. If you’re looking for a stronger gin vibe, The Impudent Cousin Matthews is a better option, but if you want a touch without overdoing it, this is for you.
I love it! If you’ve ever wanted to smell like a luxury party, this is your golden ticket. It’s fresh, slightly spicy, and makes me feel like the most sophisticated cocktail at the event. Cheers to that! 🍸

One of my favorite perfumes, with incredible elegance. I don’t know how to describe it; it’s like stepping out from under a tree on a spring afternoon. Unique.
I tried it half-heartedly, and what a surprise: I absolutely loved it 💛 It’s citrusy and spicy but soft, sophisticated, with a herbal touch. To me, it smells like a glass of gin with an orange slice, cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper, but without getting your nose in the bar glass; it’s more refined, less boozy, and very enjoyable. As it dries down, the leather and cherry emerge—a dark, deep, sweet tone that obsesses me, and I can’t stop smelling it. Honestly, it’s a scent I enjoy, and I’ll be sad when it runs out because I’m not sure I want to invest in the big bottle knowing it lasts a mere whisper on the skin 💔
