Descripción

Voyage d'Hermès by Hermès is a woody musky floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2010, this composition was created by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. Its olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of cardamom, Amalfi lemon, spices, and juniper berries; a heart of tea, green notes, and florals; and a base that evokes woods, musk, and cedar.

  • Its scent reminded me of a very bitter plant called Ruta graveolens. In the cologne, I found a resemblance, but more diluted and fresh.

  • To my nose, it’s an aroma that’s both warm and cold, earthy yet clean as crystal water… quite spiced, without being intrusive or suffocating… soft but with a very perceptible tea note… a still-green wood. I find it different from what’s out there today; in my opinion, it’s suitable for daily use and work situations requiring neatness and concentration. It relaxes me, I like it, and I want it. The bottle fascinates me.

Spiced, masculine, and feminine, it’s a cologne with a lot of sophistication. I think it’s ideal for small offices and goes well with formal or semi-formal attire without stealing the spotlight. I love it; it’s a chameleon.

  • It’s exquisite. Fresh, lemony, green, and luxurious. You feel comfortable wearing it; it doesn’t weigh you down or give you a headache. It’s more for daytime and heat, but it doesn’t clash in the cold or at night. I love it; it’s totally special. A citrus with delicious ingredients that I think smell like musk. I recommend it to those who love fresh and elegant scents.

It’s not to my taste, but it is different, even though the brand is very expensive. If I had to choose among Hermes fragrances, I’d stick with this one.

At first, with the citrus and cardamom, I felt a déjà vu with Cartier Declaration; they share almost all the notes. Then the tea, flowers, and undefined woods come out strong. Despite the cardamom sometimes giving a sweaty vibe, it didn’t happen here. The dry down is long, musky, and woody. It’s as special as Declaration, like a younger sister a bit less complex, but that makes it more usable for those who don’t do well with Cartier. The sillage is moderate, intimate, and lasts over 9 hours on skin. Ideal for summer, spring, or fall, for day wear or with your partner.

  • Voyage by Hermes is incredible and has its own personality. It’s a real, distinguished citrus, one of the most faithful I’ve tried. I don’t detect flowers or musk; it’s a spiced citrus that vividly reminds me of a tree from my childhood that I can’t quite recall. In my opinion, these natural aromas are admirable works of art, but I prefer finding them in nature rather than on people, as they stay too faithful to a single plant. It’s a masterpiece, well-crafted and respectable, yet excessively representative of something that already exists in nature. Scent: 7/10, Sillage: 6/10, Longevity: 6/10, Versatility: 7/10.

  • Voyage d’Hermès is an incredible quality perfume with a very defined personality. It’s a natural, distinguished citrus, one of the most realistic I’ve ever experienced. I don’t detect any floral or musk notes. To me, it’s an overwhelming spicy citrus (in essence, not potency). It reminds me, like few others with incredible vividness, of the smell of a tree or plant from my childhood that I struggle to recall. I wonder if it’s the one mentioned in Mr. Doctor’s review. Personally, these aromas faithful to nature are a delightful experience, admirable like works of art that preserve and represent a specific natural scent brought into perfumery; however, although they aren’t intrusive, I don’t perceive them as suitable for wearing too much on a human being. Not in versatility, which is wide, but because I prefer to find and smell them in nature, not on people. One thing is a human wearing a perfume with fruit, floral, or wood notes—a combinatorial work that goes beyond nature—and another is smelling directly like an animal or plant. That’s the feeling this perfume (and others like Dior Homme Cologne, with its expansive lemon aroma) gives me: that of a worthy, well-cared-for, and respectable work of art, yet excessively representative of something already finished in nature. Scent: 7/10 Sillage: 6/10 Longevity: 6/10 Versatility: 7/10

Hi! This perfume has a lot of character, very fresh and pleasant. It’s pricey, but worth it because it’s refillable and the refills are cheaper. The bottle is gorgeous and well-designed, a 10 for that reason alone. I recommend it 100% because it’s rare and makes you unique… well, almost… hehe.

  • “The Pablo Picasso of perfumery.” Hermes’ creations are unique and inspire you to live freely. The Voyage bottle pays homage to artisan saddles; twisting the cap makes it look like a stirrup. Cut grass, lemon, cardamom, and fresh woods create a timeless aura of clean nature. It smells like a meadow freshly wet by dew—super relaxing for men and women.

Top quality! The essence has body and smells like that bitter tree that leaves you among sunlit morning gardens. You might not like it, but it definitely steals a smile. I prefer to enjoy it in short bursts so I don’t get overwhelmed; on the box, it smells like lime with a sharp, spicy kick—super pleasant. Greetings from Argentina!

  • Light and elegant at first, then it leaves mostly a trail of lemon and cardamomo. Lasts about 4 hours, sticking to the skin from the very first moment. I wouldn’t buy it.

  • Very rich. Citrusy, earthy, very elegant. With moderate longevity and a soft sillage, it’s almost for personal enjoyment. However, I’ve noticed that after a couple of hours I can’t smell it anymore, but when I move, someone a meter away can smell it and ask about it with pleasure. The fragrance is delicious, soft, elegant, and perfectly transports you to a rural place, with wet earth, near lemon trees. It evokes landscapes, something that rarely or almost never happens. Great perfume, with a memory effect due to its irrepeatable aroma, except with other Hermès series.

This is the second time I’ve tried it before buying. Opening: a fresh bomb radiating a very clean aura, woven with citrus fruits and earthy elements. I suppose that’s where the spices and cardamomo come in; they aren’t sharp at all, but so light that the lemon can embrace and wrap around them, giving a slight touch of mystique. Evolution: undeniably charming. I don’t perceive floral notes, and if they are there, they seem like a mix of spices and lemon, which adds value. I also don’t perceive the woods, but hey, you wouldn’t miss them. Sillage and projection: noticeable from a distance for the first two hours, surely alerting any nose. I don’t think anyone would say it doesn’t smell delicious. Then it fades, but not fatally; it becomes discreet but lingers there, hiding away. That’s what I call a masterful sillage. Verdict: I definitely need to own it. It’s practically one of my favorites. A 10 out of 10. Period. The same goes almost for the Eau de Parfum.

  • Elgordobardo

It’s identical to Creed’s Cedre Blanc eau de cologne; I own both, and I’d say the Creed is even more sober. It distills cleanliness and elegance, a rare aroma. Perfect for everyday wear and some outings, especially when it’s hot and you’re hanging out with friends. It doesn’t draw too many compliments and isn’t for anyone under 30.

  • It’s a very wearable citrus. Not the typical one where you only smell lemon or lime; it’s special. I sense a clean tea note that reminds me of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea but more softened and sweet. I definitely like it.

  • Clean beauty. A well-crafted scent with a charming fresh-citrus character, very rich for wearing in warm climates during the day. It pairs perfectly with a feeling of rich cleanliness and tidiness. It’s a matter of personal taste and earns moderate compliments from those who enjoy these accords; it’s not a beastmode ‘look at me’ fragrance, but that doesn’t take away how good it feels to wear. Warm days in the morning after a shower, about 10-12 sprays… wow, it gives you an energy boost and a positive vibe. If you live in a warm climate, I invite you to try it, and I’m sure you’ll have it in your wardrobe soon.

  • Carcanuelo

One of the special fragrances. A citrus-herbal blend where the spices are so subtly arranged they soothe the lemon, making it softer; combined with earthy notes and cedar, it gives a wonderfully fresh elegance. It smells way more expensive than its price tag because of the incredibly high quality of the composition. Great longevity and sillage for a fresh perfume. It creates an olfactory memory.

  • fragranceshot

Hey, I’m not an expert on perfumes, but I have to say that putting this on in summer after a shower, heading out around 6 PM when the unbearable heat has finally broken, is a game-changer. It’s an incredible sensation. The price hurts because honestly, I should buy 300 bottles and bathe in this scent and fly. So beautiful and so clean.

  • Guillota Jarque

I absolutely love this perfume and Hermès! All their fragrances are exquisite, refined, and super unique. It’s pricey here in Argentina, but thinking about it, it’s not that bad… the real shame is not having a currency more equal to the dollar or euro. If that were the case, I’d be living in a cloud of imported scents all the time. Highly recommend! It’s that kind of fragrance where you think, ‘My god, what a spectacular scent.’

  • I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do. If I had to give it a rating, I’d say it’s an 8/10.

  • BisontedeInvierno

My heart skipped a beat, hehe. How joyful it is when I smell it! The funniest part is that I don’t even wear it myself; I buy it for my wife, and she’s the one wearing it all the time. I barely care because that way I avoid olfactory fatigue (as soon as I put it on, I stop smelling it after 5 minutes). I enjoy it more when she wears it, always, and it makes me happy to see my bombom leaving that magical trail from this bottle.

  • Torrente80

I have no idea how they managed to make wood smell fresh. Right after spraying, you get a gin-like alcohol hit that doesn’t work for me, but it vanishes in seconds, revealing this ‘fresh wood’ scent. There are no mint trees involved—what an achievement! Congratulations.

  • BisontedeInvierno

It’s totally blown my mind, lol! I’m so happy whenever I smell it. The funniest thing is that I don’t even wear it—my wife does. I buy it for myself, but she’s the one who wears it. I don’t mind because it avoids olfactory fatigue (when I wear it, I stop smelling it after 5 minutes). I smell it better when she wears it; I always catch a whiff, and it makes me happy to see my bombom leaving that magical trail from this bottle.

  • Torrente80

I don’t understand how they managed to make the wood smell fresh. At first, it’s a hit of alcohol that reminds me of gin, which I don’t like, but it disappears in seconds, revealing that ‘fresh wood’ vibe. I have no idea how they did it because, as far as I know, there are no peppermint trees. Bravo.

  • I absolutely love this fragrance; the scent it leaves is amazing. Every time I wear it, people compliment me on how good I smell.

  • I absolutely love this fragrance; the scent it leaves is fantastic. Every time I wear it, people compliment me saying how good I smell.

  • I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do. If I have to add a note, I’d say it’s an 8/10.

  • It’s incredible that Hermès creates fresh, clean fragrances from such different perspectives. I own the Parfum, the H24 EDT, and this Voyage. All three smell different but share the same vibe: clean, crisp, mature, and classy. Voyage opens green, spiced with cardamom, and citrusy with a bitter peel-like top note; then woods and musk take over. It’s not listed, but it has a vetiver base that becomes clear in the dry-down and finish. It’s the same vetiver I detect in Encre Noire Sport—the dry-down has that very similar woody, earthy facet. It’s super versatile, but it projects seriousness and cleanliness… so if you wear it to the office, you’ll smell like the boss.

  • Fernando1978

It’s a complete delight, nothing to add to the other reviews; my only complaint is the performance 🙁

  • I understand it’s very masculine, with echoes of Terre d’Hermès and Cartier Declaration, masterpieces by Ellena. Elegant, mature. In my case, great longevity on skin but little projection, depending on whether you want to smell yourself or have the whole subway know you arrived. The packaging is sublime. The first time it didn’t convince me, but after becoming a fan of Ellena, I forced myself to give it a second chance, and that’s when I was won over. I bought it at a good price because I think it’s overpriced at the regular rate. As always, try it, let the opening notes escape, and if you still like it after three hours, start a journey with it!

  • molletmod.73

My go-to citrus favorite. It seems discontinued but it’s worth having. It smells insanely good and lasts quite a while for a citrus. In my opinion, it pairs perfectly with potatoes at Acquas di Parma, Dior Colognes, TF Neroli Portofino, etc. A masterpiece of maturity from a genius like Ellena. Like all author derivatives (the current industry curse, ‘derivatology’—capitalism based on cloning hits to make the creator and brand rich, inflating the master’s fee so they can then sleep… that’s the reality, bro), it’s 80% Cartier Declaration EDT and 20% Terre d’Hermès EDT, the Holy Grail of Hermès. It smells incredible and is addictive. It could be your signature scent for six months of heat. Citrus notes in the opening that last the entire life of the EDT without being a cheap fragrance. It carries cardamomo in the opening like the Declaration, juniper berries for that gin and tonic vibe, plus musk and green/woody base notes that give it charm, appeal, seriousness, and more longevity. The formula doesn’t fail. Being a blend of two great perfumes, the result is excellent. Voyage, journey, fresh, very versatile, amazing for spring-summer, you can tell it’s high quality, elegant, serious. I see it as more masculine than the Cartier Declaration and a bit mature, for 30+. Very young people might not be drawn to it much; there are tastes for everyone. It doesn’t last long, yes, 5-6h in my case (the last 2 hours close to the skin), but I didn’t expect more. The bottle’s peculiar design stands out, something rare, with a metal cap like a rotating wheel (some didn’t like it) that serves as both cap and stand (ideal for clumsy hands like mine that lose caps). I suppose this protects it in suitcases. P.S.: It’s funny that people compare it to the ‘Perfume Man’ Croxatto, an internet social phenomenon unknown outside the YouTuber bubble, versus mass commercial perfumery. Voyage, journey, fresh, I remember Desireless and the summer of ’86… a total bomb.

  • I was looking for it and couldn’t find it. It’s been the best citrus I’ve ever owned. Beautiful and little-known. Sometimes you don’t need a thousand tricks with the notes to achieve excellence.

  • Veranosol12

I love wearing it on cold days; I like the coldness it radiates, that specific sensation.

  • Top-notch. A brutal option for 2024 if you want to smell different and attractive. It deserves to be the face of Hermès and another gem from Ellena. Perfect for all seasons. Projects well for the first two hours with medium longevity (5-6h). Although it’s finer than the recent EDP, the performance is similar. A delightful, versatile, original, and elegant scent, yet also fresh. In the opening, juniper berries and a soft, bitter citrus give it a gin and tonic vibe; then you notice the kinship with Terre EDT, but it’s more unisex, dresses better, less earthy, less vetiver, and more spicy, with a subtle, delicious cardamomo that sparkles. Minimalist yet complex: although the scent is simple, it’s a kaleidoscope that changes with every wear. Sometimes the berries and citrus stand out, other times the clean, mineral woodiness, and at others, the spices go all out. The bottle is a work of art. Cheers.
