To me, the original Sauvage is too intense and after a while it gets boring, which is why I never bought it, although I tried several versions (the Elixir doesn’t count, I have that one and I love it). With this Faris, nothing goes wrong; it’s very well balanced despite sharing the same DNA. Very good.
It starts strong with a blend of lavender, apple, and juniper berries. Then it settles into a peculiar, pleasant, fresh scent with character and strength; very similar to Dior’s Sauvage.
An interesting proposal from this brand, distinct from their usual oriental perfumes. It’s a fougère with citrus, lavender, and tonka bean, with a certain Sauvage vibe, but it’s not outdated; it smells current and pleasant for everyone. Lasting citrus, lavender, and juniper that provide freshness, followed by rose-jasmine and spices that only nuance without overpowering. A base of sandalwood, tonka bean, and amber. From my nose, it’s a spring/summer, daytime scent due to its brightness, fairly masculine as a fougère, but anyone can wear it. Lasts a minimum of 8 hours with good projection that fades slowly on the skin. Good perfume with great performance, but it resembles many others.
A brand I didn’t even know about; I thought it was another of the Arab ones making copies. It’s simply delicious. If you like the vibe of SMW or Baie 19, those ozonic scents with berries and very clean, here they add Faris floral touches. Very striking, easy to wear, and it gets you lots of compliments, with high longevity and sillage.
The resemblance to Sauvage Eau de Parfum is undeniable. In the Dior version, there are sparkling, ‘spicy’ nuances that never end. Faris has better aromatic qualities, more floral and creamy accords, making it better and more wearable. Citrus, lavender, and apple come out. Everything rests on a calm amber, rose, and fine vetiver foundation. I like it, but it doesn’t drive me crazy enough to pay that price.
