Dahab by Kajal

It’s a beautiful perfume. Passion fruit and apple embrace you with a fresh, discreet vibe before settling into woods and musk. It’s very wearable, reminiscent of Tiziana Terenzi’s Kirke but sweeter and more feminine. The only letdown is that the longevity and projection weren’t what I expected. Otherwise, its freshness makes me feel happy and energetic for work with the right attitude.

Dahab by Kajal: super delicious, sweet, fruity, and floral—exactly what I was looking for. It projects well, enveloping you and accompanying you without being loud or annoying. It was a blind buy, and when it arrived, I loved it because it had everything I wanted. That said, to be honest, I imagined it as stronger and more beastly. It didn’t fully meet my expectations, but I can’t deny it’s gorgeous and I love it. I give it 8/10; even though it wasn’t as explosive, I still enjoy it a lot.

With ‘Dahab,’ which means gold, the fragrance should exude wealth and luxury. But to my nose, it doesn’t smell opulent; instead, it’s a ripe cocktail of fruits. For a niche perfume, it’s neither difficult nor challenging, let alone a game-changer. It’s fun, cheerful, and playful, but a bit basic. People define it as elegant, but I think differently: it smells like Fructis with steroids, like rich drugstore shampoo—nothing complex or distinguished. It has its moment, surely, but not for sophisticated events; it’s more for a youthful, carefree vibe. Tropical apple and passion fruit with a decent fixative, but not memorable. The bottle is gorgeous, but for the price and what it offers, I think it’s overpriced.

A masterpiece. From start to finish, a juicy passion fruit with woody touches. I love the patchouli, but I don’t detect it as much as the musk, and I still adore the musk.

What I read: ‘With Dahab, which means gold, the fragrance oozes wealth and luxury’. Gold, luxury, and the verb to ooze. And all in the same sentence! That makes my brain unable to resist buying it blind, with a couple. What I smell: a smoothie of passion fruit, woods, and apples. What I feel: the urge to run away. Do you know those fragrances you don’t like but last a short time? That’s not the case. It lasts a lifetime. Not for me. The bottle is very pretty, though.

Dahab is passion fruit made exquisitely: a fruity explosion that is elegant, sophisticated, and warm. It’s not the same as Erba Pura and has nothing synthetic about it. I can’t comment on longevity and projection because I tested it with a decant and it didn’t seem like a beast. I’d wear it in spring, summer, and fall. Edit: I already bought a bottle and can add that it’s quite powdery, musky, and dense. Longevity is good, but since I use many sprays (10), be careful: it’s not fresh enough for intense heat; it’s warm and amber.

Honestly, I don’t like it because the passion fruit is too present and intense. I let myself be carried away by reviews saying it was a spectacular green apple, but I don’t feel that, just a sharp and very ambered passion fruit that gives me a headache. The good thing: its trail and longevity are from another world, impactful. I don’t know another one that has that; you can smell it from meters away with two sprays and it’s hard to get it off the skin. Of all the niche perfumes I’ve tried, none has this quality; my favorites that I like almost as much usually last 2 hours. I want to try its sister Lamar because I like pineapple, but this time I’ll buy a decant. If any lover living in Santiago (Chile) wants to sell it, send me a message and I’ll sell it cheap, with box and almost complete, barely used.

I ordered a sample, and it’s my favorite to date. It conveys elegance, class, and sexiness, smelling like an impressive, very fruity tropical cocktail. Upon spraying, you feel the freshness of bergamot and green apple alongside that passion fruit, one of the best I’ve ever smelled. If you love fruity scents, this is god-tier for you. It’s sophisticated and works for any season; on my skin, it lasts over 8 hours. If it’s very hot, the musk and amber base might feel heavy, but it’s very consistent—3 or 4 sprays are enough. I recommend ordering a 2ml sample to rule out doubts.

I smell the passion fruit all over my skin with that rich musk… it lasts about 6 hours and has moderate projection for the first 3. It’s my signature scent, I love it, and I already have a refill.

Delicious, similar to the discontinued Omnia Paraiba by Bvlgari, especially as it dries down. However, Kajal is sweeter, performs better, and feels like a finer fragrance; Omnia isn’t quite as refined.

It’s super cheerful, vibrant, sexy, and luxurious. On my skin, the opening is exquisite, with those citrusy and sweet notes of apple and passion fruit. I love the musky and amber base. It’s not a ‘bombshell’; I enjoy it more intimately. It lasts about 8 hours: 4 of trail and then I still notice it for another 4 or 5 hours. For me, that’s enough. The presentation is lovely, elegant, with an oriental touch, and the juice color is gorgeous.

To me, it’s beautiful, different, and unique. It earns me plenty of compliments, and people always ask what I’m wearing. They say I smell like an expensive person, simply spectacular. On my skin, the longevity is infinite; my clothes still smell the next day. Highly recommended.

I’m not much of a tropical person, but I admit this is gorgeous. It smells like passion fruit from start to finish. The nice thing is that it starts strong and then softens, combined with amber and musk, leaving it super pleasant. It leaves a moderate but noticeable trail. It’s similar to Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi, but this smells better and has a more sublime finish. If you have to choose and spend, you go with Dahab Kajal; besides, the bottle is beautiful. I imagined something more Arab and incense-laden, but here you get passion fruit that eventually picks up an oriental touch. It works for all seasons, ideal for showing off when you’re feeling happy. Totally feminine.

Overrated. The scent is a 10, but longevity and projection leave much to be desired, while the price is a 20/10… It smells expensive, fruity, sweet, and tropical, with those juicy fruits at their peak, rich and elegant. I don’t find it sexy at all. I wouldn’t buy it again. It reminds me a lot of Erba Pura, which is cheaper but a beast in terms of longevity and projection.

I bought it after hearing nothing but wonders, but every nose is a world… mine and my husband’s hated it 😢.
