I bought it based on the good reviews, tried it in-store, and liked it. I wore it to a party on a summer night and it worked perfectly. It’s sweet and vanilla-infused, exquisite. What surprised me most was the longevity: it lasted all night on my skin, and on clothes, when I went to wash them, the scent was still there. My skin is very difficult to please with all types of perfumes, and with this one, I nailed it. I love it!!!!
Wonderful, addictive, sweet, intense, and current. Those initial moments of salty popcorn are very original, then it transforms into an oriental queen’s sweet embrace. It’s a majestic perfume I recommend. I used the first bottle after my shower when I got home after work. That moment of relaxing on the sofa with an aroma full of good vibes is so comforting. Now I’ve bought it a second time and wear it all the time, even to work, in small quantities because it’s intense. After trying Pure XS, I’ve tested others with a similar dry-down like Tous Onix and Tous Emerald. I enjoy it a lot; it’s an excellent olfactory experience. I recommend it for autumn, winter, and evening wear, for women who love sweet perfumes.
Without a doubt, you can smell the popcorn at the beginning, then it becomes less intense. It’s delicious. I don’t know if to call it a good perfume or a masterpiece… it’s potent but very sweet; it cloyes me a bit, but I receive compliments. I use it occasionally and consider that if you don’t like potent sweet perfumes, it’s better to have the 30ml bottle (that’s what I do with ones I like but don’t use every day).
I first tried it in 2018 at a very eye-catching stand at the airport. I carried the sample paper in my pocket and kept pulling it out. I fell in love and now I have my bottle, which I take great care of. Although it’s intense for summer, I wear it at night in any season to leave a sweet mark. It’s addictive; several people have complimented me even in large rooms. At first, it’s very sweet vanilla that later leaves a woody trail. It makes me think of night and a woman who is both sweet and sexy. On clothes, it lasts incredibly long (more than a day); on skin, about 6 hours, with high projection at the start.
The popcorn note is well present. It’s an addictive perfume, ideal for autumn (I wear it daily because it’s not too intense). It’s sweet, classic but with a distinct twist, very pleasant to smell. The only criticism is that it leaves little sillage, so I don’t wear it at night for that reason. People have complimented it, but not much. In short, it’s worth it if it’s on sale: perfect for everyday autumn/winter wear, leaves little sillage, lasts 4-5 hours on skin but lasts about 8 hours on clothes.
They recommended it saying it smelled like popcorn or salty vanilla, but no, it just smells like vanilla and generic sweetness found in any perfume X, with slight notes of orange blossom. That said, at least it’s not as cloying as those perfumes you can’t bear to smell again.
I like it; it’s sweet and creamy, right up there with Good Girl or Scandal. However, I don’t smell popcorn in it, but rather peanuts (?). It’s very winter and evening-appropriate.
I came to review this perfume, which is moving (and very sexy), and hopefully, without falling into my olfactory bipolarity (hormones or because I’m a musician? I don’t know), it will make it into my favorites. But I’ve read @espartaco’s review and I don’t think I have anything else to add. It’s worth reading and believing it wholeheartedly.
I’ll confess I arrived super excited, but beware: don’t buy it blind. It’s unique and inevitably turns heads. For me, it’s excessively cloying, perhaps due to my environment. I catch a hint of popcorn, and to be honest, it reminds me of a caramelized candy; I find it an interesting perfume.
Bought it on a friend’s recommendation after she gave me a decant. I absolutely loved the dry-down and that popcorn note had me hooked. What a shock to discover that, even though I knew it had been reformulated, the popcorn note had vanished completely. I’ll keep trying it, but I feel misled. The batch code is from this March, in case anyone doubts whether to buy it.
I bought it blindly thinking the popcorn note wouldn’t be so prominent, but I’ve never smelled a perfume THIS cloying; I can’t stand it.
I bought it blindly and thought it looked very ugly and was excessively sweet. I’m not sure if it’s the popcorn note that I dislike, but it really repels me.
One of the best gourmands. I don’t detect the popcorn note, but it’s super sweet. Floral accords are noticeable too. It’s seductive and for evening wear, though it was my first expensive perfume and I used it for everything. IT DOESN’T COME OFF THE CLOTHES; once you spray it, it’s there forever.
A perfume that evokes self-love. It’s perfect for feeling in love with life and everything around you. Only if you have a strong personality will you feel comfortable with this fragrance. You won’t go unnoticed for sure, and you’ll infect others with your trail.
Very rich, feels warm, a sweetness that’s not cloying but definitely gourmand. Very linear; it’s like Olympéa but without its initial majesty. It’s among my most-used scents, after Insolence, Angel, and Jimmy Choo.
One of the best perfumes in the world, in my opinion. Buy it, it’s worth it!
Very fruity at first and incredibly sweet on my skin. It reminds me of Yes I Am, which I couldn’t finish because it was too cloying. For night outs, something occasional, definitely not for daily wear; I find it can be very intense.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who smells different. I loved it at the perfume counter; it smelled like super-gourmand popcorn, I fell in love, and even thought it had vibes of Belle de Parfum, so I bought it. When I received it days later, it was awful: a rancid, sour alcohol smell, with no popcorn, vanilla, or anything promised. I also tried a Sapphire fabric spray that mimicked this perfume, and it didn’t have the popcorn scent either—it smells just like the original. What a shame; it wasn’t expired or anything, I don’t get what happened in the store 🙁
A classic gourmand. Rich, yes, with a nice bottle and pretty packaging… the salty popcorn note stands out, though the perfume shines for being sweet without being tacky or cloying. It suits almost everyone, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
The best perfume in the world, period. If you’re craving gourmand, sweet, and original scents, this is yours. It’s authentic and has tons of personality; I’ve been collecting for years and nothing has pleased me more or as much as this.
I told my partner at a store to pick the one they liked more, and they chose this. It’s a very commercial fragrance (not therefore bad) and very current, a typical nocturnal vanilla style like Belle or Black Opium. However, what really catches my attention is the sweet-salty effect thanks to the popcorn note. The most perceptible note in all phases is that of sweetened popcorn. I slightly detect some floral ylang-ylang. I love it because it’s very cozy, a great roller, and at the same time attractive.
Since I heard it the first time, I liked it for how special I find it. I’m not into overly sweet gourmand perfumes, but this one fell in love with me. My boyfriend, knowing I liked it and that he did too, gifted it to me. I just sprayed it and it’s a scent that, although sweet, is very rich; I don’t find it cloying. I reiterate that I prefer other styles, but this sweetness is amazing, oh boy!
What I don’t like about this fragrance isn’t the scent, which is pleasant and sure to appeal to someone: it’s sweet, vanilla-based with that slight popcorn touch. What I dislike is its almost non-existent intensity and short longevity. Not even for bedtime or personal enjoyment; it only smells good right after spraying, pressing your nose to your hand. It doesn’t improve much on clothes either. It’s a shame because that popcorn scent made me drool… lucky I got it through an exchange.
This perfume is delicious; I don’t understand why I waited so long to try it. The opening is clearly freshly made popcorn, but that scent doesn’t last; it quickly transforms into very soft, warm honey cookies (even though honey isn’t listed). On my skin, the longevity and sillage are good.
This perfume is sensual, captivating, and addictive because of that goat milk scent. I wore it once to the movies and it was delightful. The downside is it leaves no trail on my skin; although it smells good, I had to apply a lot so it wouldn’t fade. I wore it in the middle of summer: at first, it smells strong of goat milk, then it fades and you only catch it close to the skin.
It’s a shame because the notes seem interesting and some are uncommon, but the sample I tried didn’t attract me. Yes, it was sweet and feminine, but I don’t know if it was the ylang-ylang or the popcorn notes that went wrong due to oxidation. The trail became almost unpleasant.
Hi, does anyone know if there’s a dupe for this fragrance? Thanks.
Vidal10 is available at Perfumarte.
I LOVE IT!!! The first time I tried it, I was fascinated. That popcorn-and-caramel scent is super sweet yet captivating and truly unique. In my experience, it’s one of the fragrances that flatters me the most and lasts the longest on my skin. 100% recommended.
Tastes vary, but this one smells terrible. I bought it blindly based on the previous box and tested it at Primor: didn’t even open it when it arrived. Nothing sweet, caramel, or cloying like others claim; for me, it’s a disaster. I like sweet scents like Bianco Latte or Black Opium, but this has nothing to do with them. Don’t buy without testing first.
The sweet popcorn scent lasts only minutes, leaving behind warm butter with sugar. This accord drops, and by an hour, coconut and vanilla dominate—not sunscreen, but woody coconut. As it settles, orange blossom appears. Nothing to object to regarding projection and duration: it’s a beast. I tested it for a month with high expectations, but it didn’t work for me. It seemed cheap, probably due to that vanilla with Play-Doh undertones that sound artificial and cut costs (D&G, I’m looking at you and the mess with Sicily). I see it as feminine, for mid-season, informal, specifically for the club. Pleasant: 4/10, Interesting: 2/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 7/10.
I bought it over a month ago. When I opened it, I didn’t love it and put it away. Today I took it out to try again and really liked it. It will stay for this autumn. It arrived in summer and seemed tiring to me, but today with fresh weather, it’s a treasure. Thank goodness I didn’t wear it out. It’s batch 201i, not reformulated, with a velvet box. I’m not an expert, but I notice lots of vanilla, a little powdery without being excessive, and everything blends well. I don’t detect orange blossom, but I do smell the coconut, the yellow flower, and the delicious musk. I never detected a tortilla scent; I think those who do might have olfactory issues.
I just realized it’s discontinued (at least in Mexico) or production has stopped. If it’s a reformulation, it will be worse. I have a bottle from the first batch with a velvet box; the aroma is exquisite and ultra feminine. The salty popcorn note feels nice, paired with creamy vanilla and coconut. Definitely for autumn and winter, not for heat. I don’t know what neurological damage those claiming it smells like tortillas have; it’s a beautiful perfume, sweet but not for girls—it’s for a playful, sensual woman.
I used it again after a break. It’s the quintessential vanilla scent—so warm, sweet, enveloping, and sexy. Ideal as a signature for autumn and winter, or for casual outings on summer nights.
Be careful with testers; I smelled several in bad condition today. I recommend testing it on your skin before buying. You do notice the popcorn when you spray it, then it evolves, and the trail several hours later is between fruity and floral.
A substantial, nocturnal, and sensual perfume. It feels vanilla-based but not gourmand; the warm popcorn opening is very peculiar. It lasts almost all day on my skin, though I reapply in the afternoon to maintain the trail. It generates compliments and makes me feel sexy. I love it.
I bought it blindly and have no regrets, 10/10. It’s super wearable, sweet, and sexy, with a tiny salty twist. I love it; it makes me feel super feminine.
Maybe it evolved, but when I first bought it, I couldn’t stop smelling popcorn; I got tired of it. Now I notice that floral side of ylang-ylang with a sandalwood base—it’s crazy! It’s like a downgraded, extra-feminine Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic with popcorn at the start.
I absolutely love it! My favorites are the ones that change like a chameleon, like this one. The notes come and go: coconut, ylang-ylang, musk, popcorn, evolving throughout the hours. What a delight. It smells sweet, salty, tropical, floral, warm, intense, lasts long, projects well, and is ultra sexy. A gem, a staple in my collection.
I bought decants and this fragrance didn’t agree with me due to the popcorn notes. Even though I know they’re salty and noticeable, that salty note just doesn’t suit me. After two hours, it fades away and coconut appears with a powdery touch—I’m not sure if that’s the same thing. By five hours, close to the skin, it smells sweeter but still powdery. I liked the coconut, but the rest didn’t work for me. Tastes are personal, but don’t buy blindly.
