  • This new Avon creation isn’t bad at all. It opens with a somewhat strange, cheap leather smell, but little by little it settles into a leather note to balance with the fruity notes, resulting in a pleasant scent once your nose gets used to it. The projection isn’t anything special, so I recommend spraying 6 or 7 times; given the cost of the perfume, you can spray freely. Decent longevity; 12 hours later, I could still smell traces on my wrist. A versatile perfume for day and night in spring and autumn when you don’t want to use your top perfumes.

  • Synthetic as only she can be XD… I just bought it blind. I like it, even though it’s not the type of scent I feel goes with me. The opening is super plastic and fruity, like a tutti frutti, an undefined fruit salad, smells artificial but not bad. That impression fades after a while and a very pleasant aromatic leather emerges, though I prefer drier leather; this one is sweet but pleasant. Is it sexy? Hmm, I think so; it works precisely because of its artificiality. It reminded me of when I first smelled Joop, like you can’t believe you’re smelling something so synthetic. Is it masculine? Nope, it’s quite unisex; I imagine a girl at a party, wearing a leather jacket, dancing until dawn… It’s cute, it doesn’t kill me, but it has something addictive that makes me not regret owning it, besides the price is a joke. Fall, winter, cold, day or night (I think it should hold up in smoke-filled places and closed clubs and parties); spring and summer could work due to the sweet fruity opening, but only at night. Do not buy blind.

  • For the price—around $5 in Argentina—and for that LEATHER, I can confidently say it’s SPECTACULAR. Now, like the Black Suede flankers I’ve been buying, its longevity is a joke. For a half-day activity or a bit of calisthenics to reapply it, it barely lasts. But at least with this Black Suede DARK, I can’t ask for more for those $5. The opening is fruity, but don’t ask me what fruits because I have no idea; it’s an undifferentiated note. I don’t know which market perfume it’s paying homage to. Watch out for this opening! Don’t get stuck with that impression, because a few minutes later—say, five—the rough leather starts emerging between the fruity notes. This combination makes it unique, like the leather-with-solvent vibe of Gucci Guilty (I’m making the comparison because I don’t have another reference, though they differ in result, they’re related in intent and family) but sweetened; as if something spiced was added to aromatize the leather. The leather lasts until the end (which is no more than three hours on my skin) with a volatile camphoraceous component (not the scent itself but the effect) that decongests your nose. I don’t detect vetiver or a dry, astringent dry-down. Obviously, it’s super masculine, designed for men (though anyone can wear it if they want). CONCLUSION: For the price and what it offers, it’s ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT if you like or want to explore perfumes with a prominent LEATHER note: because THIS ONE HAS IT. For the price, its meager longevity is forgiven (though it lasts a bit longer than its older siblings ‘Touch’ and ‘Leather’, which I’ve already reviewed). With a bit of optimism and no pretensions, this perfume could become a battlehorse for Avon.

  • For the price, about $5 in Argentina, and for the LEATHER, I’d dare to say it’s SPECTACULAR. Like the Black Suede flankers I own, its longevity is a joke. However, for a half-day activity, doing a bit of calisthenics to refresh it, it barely lasts. Let’s look at the positives: for those $5 I paid, with this Black Suede DARK, I can’t ask for more. I don’t sense the vetiver, nor do I perceive a dry, astringent dry-down. Obviously, it’s a super masculine perfume. There’s no gender debate here; it’s made for men (of course, anyone can wear it). It’s like walking into a harness shop and having a fruit stand just 100 meters away. It has pleasant fruit notes, but they’re imperceptible due to the strong leather that dominates everything. It’s a raw leather scent that sometimes takes on burnt notes (very synthetic), without any sweet notes to soften it. It gives a linear character, and you don’t really appreciate the rest. I like leather fragrances, but this is the first one with such a strong leather smell, without a single hint of sweetness to mask it. US$3 in Argentina, so it didn’t affect my budget. I bought it blind, launched in 2020, and thought it had modern touches, but definitely not; neither vintage. The Black Suede line was for audiences over 35, but I don’t know where to place this one; it might divide opinions. Those who love leather like in a harness shop will like it. I don’t dislike it, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I don’t suggest it for sports or summer. It’s not for the office or romantic occasions; it can be off-putting. It’s not for formal events either. In a club, better-made mid-range scents will catch more attention. Maybe an outdoor rock concert or a walk in autumn/winter are good suggestions. Definitely not unisex. Very versatile. Scent: 4/10, Quality: 5/10, Longevity: 6/10, Projection: 5/10, Versatility: 2/10.

I think it’s a good perfume; for the price, you can’t ask for more. It’s $540 in Uruguay.

  • This is amazing. At first, I thought the tanned leather was harsh, gloomy, and gothic, but I ended up loving how different it is from everything else I own and how well it complements my wardrobe. The more I use it, the more I like it. There’s a part that makes me feel clean, like laundry detergent, and I love that. This perfume is the perfect match for a black leather jacket, nothing more, nothing less. In cold weather and at night, it adds an impossible mystery.

  • What a beast! At first, I thought it would be a lugubrious, gothic tanned leather, but I absolutely love how different it is from the rest of my collection and how perfectly it complements it. The more I wear it, the more I adore it. There’s a moment that makes me feel super clean, like I just used detergent, and I love that. It’s the perfect perfume for a black leather jacket, nothing more, nothing less: ideal for cold weather and nighttime, with an impossible mystery.

Not a particularly pleasant scent overall. It’s very affordable, but it’s super synthetic; the leather note smells like plastic.

I might be the only crazy one, but it smells similar to One Million. It’s a sweet leather scent; I’m not saying they’re identical, just very close. Very easy to wear.

A nice clone of La Nuit de Issey. It’s synthetic, but it does its job and for the price, you can’t ask for more. Not bad at all.
