About The Blend Bourbon
The Blend Bourbon by O Boticário is a spicy oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Adilson Rato, Carmita Magalhaes, Frank Voelkl, and Alberto Morillas. The opening unfolds a vibrant effervescence of pink pepper, bergamot, and grapefruit. The heart reveals a warm, spicy complexity where cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, nutmeg, and lavender intertwine, supported by a creamy touch of crème brûlée and aquatic nuances that add freshness. The base rests on a solid, enveloping structure formed by Bourbon vanilla, amber, sandalwood, vetiver, woody notes, and the distinctive wood of guaiac.

You can definitely feel Morillas’ hand in this fragrance, designed for everyone regardless of age. Rather than calling it The Blend Bourbon, I’d label it Spicebomb AfterWork: a fresher, more vibrant take on the original, more versatile, with a citrus-spiced opening full of energy. It works in almost any season except days over 30°F, becoming that versatile version the Fresh and Infrared flankers tried but failed to achieve. Good projection for the first two hours, then it stays close to the skin for about 6 to 7 hours. If you can grab it for $20–25 and you’re a V&R SB fan, go for it.
