  • So, what can I say? It’s probably the blessed pH or an atrophied nose, but this perfume (2019) on my skin smells like Mugler’s Alien, yes, yes, Alien. I’ve been testing it for months because it was on my wishlist. I like the scent, but I feel it’s too strong and imposing (I wouldn’t classify it as elegant) for my lifestyle. I can’t see myself wearing it for special occasions since I don’t have many gala parties or events requiring such ostentation; I’m more into house parties, casual bars, and romantic dinners at ‘hipster’ restaurants. So… I went to Zara for clothes and almost always have to drag myself to grab a perfume. Although Zara has tons of them, I took forever to try them all, and very few convinced me. I was thinking about buying A Perfume, but although the quality is notable, the scent doesn’t fully win me over. In the meantime, I asked about Rose Gold because it wasn’t on display and they had it super hidden with its tester; they had to pull it out. When I smelled it, I said, ‘Yes, I’m taking this.’ I left the bottle in its packaging on the display to grab it while I finished shopping, and when I came back for it, they had put it away again. I asked for it again, and the salesperson said, ‘But are you really taking it?!’ Well, yes, I told her! Haha, anyway. I got home, showered, changed, and put it on. Well, wow, I said: it’s Alien (very) dosed, of course, that strong jasmine or neroli or white floral with amber smell when it comes out, but the intensity goes down. It suits me super well since I have the aroma without the overwhelming power I don’t need. Edit: I’ve been wearing it at the office for a couple of days, applying it at home and going out. I felt it was skin-scent only but I was always smelling it, until today a coworker finally said, ‘Did you change perfumes, right??’ and I said, ‘Yes.’ ‘Do you smell it?’ she asked. She said, ‘Yes, since yesterday you arrived, it smells like powdery flowers, smells good,’ and I thought it had low projection. 🙂

  • Fills an entire room with flowers everywhere, perfect for open spaces and a crowd, provided you don’t get motion sick yourself. The scent is quite rich for night, but the florals are super prominent; sometimes they even make me sneeze.

  • I got this only in a duo pack with Gold Zara, both in an 80ml water-bottle style box. The description for ROSE GOLD is white floral (magnolia, gardenia, and amber) for special occasions, warm/satisfied/opulent. It smells similar to Gucci Bloom or Michael Kors Gold in the neroli note, which is what stands out most. GOLD (the new version) is ARTISAN’S GOLD, a sweet floral (jasmine, gardenia, and honey) for special occasions, sophisticated/sensual/opulent. It has a vibe similar to Issey Miyake Pure Nectar or JPG Scandal, highlighting the honey with a touch of gardenia. The longevity is about 4 hours and the trail is low. The price is super cheap. The only thing I’d say about Rose Gold is that if you don’t like neroli, even though it’s soft, it lingers well on the skin and can be overwhelming for some people; you should test it for at least an hour before deciding to buy it.

  • I picked this up in November 2020 because I thought it smelled like Alien. Nothing alike, it’s less potent, but it definitely has those beautiful, addictive amber florals. It’s a gorgeous, elegant perfume, pure floral luxury, uuuuh. So rich! I sprayed it on my clothes yesterday at 5 pm, and now it’s 4 am the next day and my clothes still smell a little. People say it’s similar to Cucci Bloom or CH 212 VIP Rose, but I haven’t tried those, haha, anyone confirm?

  • Intense and lasts forever. It gives me a bit of a headache, but for those who love this style, they’ll be obsessed with it all day. The trail is brutal and noticeable all night.
