Yesterday I was gifted a two-piece set of 100ml bottles: this one and the ‘summer’ version (which isn’t on Fragrantica). They’re clones of Invictus and Invictus Aqua. I’ve been wearing this for 5 hours and it’s still skin-scent only. The bottle doesn’t match the photo; it has the ‘Man 2017’ collection shape but in this color; the summer one is greener with a light gray cap. The box is nice, featuring Seoul skyscrapers for this one and a park for the summer. They’re cheap, so if you like Invictus, the set is a steal; if you already own them, it’s redundant.
Has anyone noticed the difference between this, Blue Man Spirit, and the original Zara? All three smell like Invictus! For the price, it’s fine, but the longevity is weak and the sillage is moderate; you have to reapply constantly, which is its biggest weakness compared to the other two.
I’m not a fan of easy fragrances like Sauvage or Invictus, but sometimes I need them and prefer clones. This one delivers: lasts 5 to 7 hours with average to strong projection depending on how much you apply. Paid about 250 pesos and consider it a good deal.
Starts with a citrusy, watery burst dominated by tangerine. After a while, it warms up and loses that initial freshness. Smells super clean and is perfect for both the gym and the office; it’s not intrusive. It doesn’t try to grab attention, just passes unnoticed smelling great. The dry down is a pleasure, and at around €10, it’s a must-buy.
Today, October 12th, I’m back at another birthday party with this same perfume, and again it made a mark… people asking what perfume it is, how rich it smells… More compliments than greetings… Obviously, I didn’t say which one it was so they wouldn’t all start using it… I recommend it just like Invictus but with less projection. I recommend this perfume because it’s economical; buying two 100ml bottles and spraying it on clothes also gives good sillage and lasts until the next day on fabric.
What a fragrance for its economical price, equal to Invictus, too similar. Yesterday I used it and received several compliments. I went to a market, and the two girls attending said as soon as I walked in: ‘What a nice perfume, which one is it?’ After buying my beer, I went to my cousin’s place, walked in, and three cousins gave me three other nice compliments. So it’s worth it, but you have to over-apply.
Tangerine water with a little sweetness, barely acceptable, with the same performance as all Zara fragrances. I’ve never tried Invictus, but now I ask myself: is something so mass-produced, a sales leader, really such a bland fragrance with nothing to offer? Besides, people say King of Seduction Absolute is also similar to the PR fragrance… I have the Banderas one, and they are water and oil… One of the two comparisons with Invictus is wrong. Adding: the notes on the box are as follows: top notes of incense, pepper, rhubarb, and Yuzu(?), middle notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and violet, base notes of cedarwood, musk, and vanilla.
While my boyfriend was trying on clothes, I was browsing the men’s perfumes and found this scent. I stopped in my tracks because it seemed so different from the perfumes around him. Great combination. Upon smelling the bottle, the marine note is very prominent; on the skin, the tangerine starts to compete. It has excellent fixation.
Among the base notes, Zara declares on the box itself that the perfume contains Coumarin, a natural ingredient that must be declared because, depending on the amount, it can cause allergic reactions. I don’t know why it’s not mentioned in this entry when describing the components. Perhaps it’s precisely for the reason stated, i.e., because the amount is small. In any case, I thought it appropriate to mention it. The perfume has moderate projection and sillage, and it’s for certain tastes (not for everyone). I understand it should be tested before to make the right decision, but right now that’s impossible—at least as far as I know in Spain—because there are no testers in Zara stores, nor 12ml vials or samples available to buy online.
As an eau de toilette for everyday use, it’s not bad. I don’t share the opinion that it feels synthetic. I’m not saying it isn’t, but at least I don’t perceive it that way. It’s pleasant, a bit sweeter than I’d like, but still pretty good. I don’t know Invictus, but I can say Seoul is a generalist, easy, mainstream fragrance. In short, pleasant but without any personal charm or uniqueness. Just another one.
A cologne that sums up Zara: economical, functional, pleasant, and easy. Nothing innovative, except for a few standout cases with fragrances we all already know. I like it. Pity it doesn’t last long on my skin. I like it and it’s to everyone’s taste; I get compliments, it’s very similar to Invictus, and I’d even say it’s better for me. I’m not a fan of Rabanne, which is overused, linear, and adds nothing. This has a rich, sweet, amber touch that suits my skin and style better. I invite you to try it, and if you like it, buy the set with Lisbon. It’s also worth it. I’ll talk more about this one later once I’ve tested it over a few more days. Hugs to fellow fragrance lovers!
It’s a clone of Invictus but ten times cheaper and slightly less long-lasting. I prefer it because no one will notice it’s not the real Invictus, and I’m done spending $60 on something so overused like the PR one. It smells easy, generic, simple, yet effective; girls like smelling it on men. It smells clean, like citrus tangerine, and marine notes. Recommended in a pack for $13 for two bottles, even if it’s just for the gym or the beach, you’ll use it.
A cologne that perfectly summarizes what Zara is in general and its perfume line: economical, functional, pleasant, and easy. Nothing innovative, except for occasional cases of great merit, fragrances we all already know. I like it. It’s a pity it doesn’t have long-lasting performance on my skin. I like it, and it’s very much to everyone’s taste. It gets compliments; it’s certainly similar to Invictus, and I’d even say it’s better for me. I’m not a fan of the Rabanne one—it’s mass-produced, linear, not novel, and adds nothing. However, this one has a rich, sweet amber touch that suits my skin and style better. I invite you to try it, and if you like it, get the pack with Lisbon. It’s also worth it. I’ll review it on its own page once I’ve tested it for a few more days. Hugs to fellow fragrance lovers.
I won’t discuss notes because the website already describes them. For me, it’s an aquatic fragrance, slightly sweet with a very subtle citrus touch. It smells very pleasant to me; I don’t perceive it as synthetic. It makes me feel fresh and clean. I consider it very versatile: good for the office, or going out to open or closed spaces. Scent: 8/10. Longevity: approx. 4-5 hours. Projection: moderate. Price: $13. Value for money: 9/10.
Comparing it to Invictus (I own both). While the quality is similar, for those who haven’t compared them side-by-side, it’s a great fragrance. It comes out very synthetic and alcoholic at first, but within minutes, citrus and sweet notes like tangerine emerge. Perfect for daily wear; in my tests, it lasts 4 to 5 hours. You can keep it in your backpack for work or school and spritz it to get through the day. The price is insane—I bought it in 2018 in a pack with the Winter version for under $30. I recommend the pack with Lisbon more. It works for daily use. Good, pretty, and cheap. Scent: 8, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7, Price: 10. Final Rating: 8.2.
I don’t see it as a 100% clone of Invictus; it’s inspired by it, but Seoul is more ‘wearable’. You can smell the mandarin, a key difference from Paco Rabanne. It has a softer trail (but lasts a couple of hours) and less longevity, yet it’s still quite persistent. I own Zara Till 8am, which is similar, but Seoul is fresher, giving it more versatility; I see the other one for fall/winter due to its sweeter dry-down. For the price, you can’t ask for more: average EDT designer performance, good projection for a couple of hours (and you can overapply), and a common synthetic scent at the start that softens later. It generally pleases and is valid for daily wear. The pack with Lisbon or Seoul Summer is highly recommended; the price is ridiculously low. Cheers.
Just bought it and, for me, it’s very good. Very pleasant from the start, not too strong; you notice a slightly sweet orange and a very watery touch. I’ve received multiple compliments; it’s a fragrance everyone likes and is surprised when I tell them it’s Zara Seoul. Lasts at least 8 hours with 6 sprays; projects easily to 1 meter and then becomes subtler, but still noticeable at arm’s length. I would highly recommend it.
I bought it recently and it seems really good. It’s pleasant from the start, not too strong, with a sweet orange and a watery touch. I’ve gotten so many compliments; everyone likes it and is amazed it’s from Zara. It lasts me a minimum of 8 hours with 6 sprays. It projects easily to 1 meter, then becomes subtler but is still noticeable at half a meter. I’d highly recommend it.
I hadn’t used it in a while and was blown away. I sprayed it at 2 PM and it lasted until noon the next day. What a pleasant surprise; I didn’t remember it lasting that long.
Opens with mandarin and aquatic notes, with a nice dry-down. It’s a clean fragrance. It projects well but doesn’t last long, so you need to overapply.
At first, I thought it didn’t last long, but by the next day it lasted almost 8 hours. It’s super delicious, clean, and fresh. It doesn’t smell much like Invictus; to me, it’s fresher and lasts longer.
Bought this because of its similarity to Invictus, along with Lisboa, for $22. It smells great with aquatic notes and a sweet citrus, more orange than tangerine. The ‘ylang’ from the Orient probably gives it that exotic herbal touch. There’s a very subtle hint of pepper. The issue is projection and longevity: it projects about half a meter for an hour and then sits close to the skin. It doesn’t last more than 4 hours, but considering the price, it’s reasonable. It does its job without standing out, ideal for men aged 16 to 27 for casual occasions. Scent: 7/10, projection: 5/10, longevity: 4/10, versatility: 7.5/10.
Zara Seoul is spectacular, super similar to Invictus, especially once it dries down. It’s the same style and scent for 1/5th the price of Paco Rabanne, making it a smart buy. Comparing them, I have both: Invictus lasts and projects about 15% better, but in terms of scent and quality, they’re practically the same; that difference isn’t worth 5 or 6 times more. They say it’s more synthetic, which only experts notice, but I don’t perceive it. Totally recommended, and if you buy it with Lisbon, you get a clone almost identical to Acqua Di Gio (which I also recommend).
Clean and refreshing fragrance, perfect for everyday wear because it’s not overpowering. Reminds me of Invictus, but with lower quality and projection. As for price-to-performance, it’s excellent, especially since it lasts 8-10 hours on the skin. I’d give it an 8.5/10.
Seoul is spectacular and very similar to Invictus, especially as it dries down. It’s the same style for just 1/5th the price of Paco Rabanne, making it a smart buy. When comparing them, Invictus lasts and projects about 15% better, but the scent is nearly identical; that difference isn’t worth 5 or 6 times more. Some say it’s synthetic, but I don’t notice it. Totally recommended, and with the Lisbon pack, you get an Acqua Di Gio clone.
Seoul smells like Invictus in the dry down, though the opening is dominated by a lot of pepper. Longevity and projection are moderate, which is typical for Zara. It’s a solid option from their catalog, and I’d recommend grabbing the pack with Lisbon for 15.85€; it’s a steal.
Seoul has a base that clearly recalls Invictus, though it’s a bit overshadowed by the overwhelming amount of pepper it has at the start. Longevity and projection are moderate, like most Zara colognes. It’s a good option within its catalog and is recommended to buy with the set including Lisbon for €15.85. It’s a steal.
Looking for a great scent today without breaking the bank? This is your pick. It doesn’t last all day, so I reapply mid-morning, but at this price, it’s no problem. It’s versatile, perfect for daytime and hot weather. Clearly, I’ll be using this a lot.
This perfume started my collection. I already owned others from more famous houses, but looking for something budget-friendly, I found this. It’s the one from Zara that lasted the longest on my skin, almost all day, and smelled great. That’s why I bought the set of mini bottles with Lisbon. It delivers, performance at the same level or better than the original. I liked it so much that I went looking for the discontinued 100ml bottle, which smells even better. Unfortunately, I was disillusioned when a teenager stopped on the subway with a very strong scent of this DNA. That day I understood what ‘mass-market’ meant. I still think it smells rich, people like it, and it’s excellent for hot days.
An exquisite aroma for everyday wear, subtle and versatile. For the price, it’s incredible. If you don’t know what to wear, it can’t go wrong.
Exquisite aroma for everyday wear, subtle and versatile. For the price, it’s incredible. If you don’t know what to wear, it won’t fail you.
One of my favorites from Zara. Delicious aroma and lasts longer than many perfumes that cost triple the price. If you’re looking for olfactory experiences, this is a must-have. I bought it blind based on reviews and am totally satisfied with the longevity, projection, and scent.
Fresh and lively. The sweet and fruity chords remind me of bubblegum. A girl could wear it now and then. Perfect for a summer brunch or a family party. Longevity and projection are decent. Although I’ve gotten compliments, it’s not my absolute favorite, but it smells good and is very affordable. I recommend it.
At first, at my age of forty, it seemed very youthful, almost for teenagers. But after three days, I was hooked. It smells like mandarins, cheerful and exquisite. Ideal for informal moments, a weekend at home, or after a workout. It lifts your mood and smells great.
In my opinion, it’s an adolescent perfume, for someone between 14 and 18, though ages are subjective here. The scent is almost identical to Invictus, a very good clone for the price. Personally, I hate Invictus; it gives me a headache, and this doesn’t fall behind. I have it because I bought the pack with Lisbon. If you like marine fragrances, the pack is totally recommended. It’s worth noting that the longevity, projection, and trail on my skin are quite good given the price.
I’m a rare case; I don’t know Invictus well, having smelled it years ago in a store and not sure if it was the original or a flanker… So I’ll describe what I notice in Seoul without comparing it to that specific memory. It’s a fresh citrus, not too sharp, aromatic, with a marine and amber touch that adds class. It doesn’t change much from start to finish; it smells good all the way through and nothing clashes or is harsh. The value for money is nearly unbeatable, especially in packs (with Lisbon) for under €10 each. Performance is acceptable for an EDT: on my skin it projects about 2 meters upon application and lasts 2 to 4 hours (maybe more), ending very close to the skin but releasing light, non-intrusive bursts. I tested it alongside Lisbon, and this one has slightly less performance than that one.
Very similar to Invictus but without that annoying laurel note. Ideal for everyday wear, though it evolves a bit flatly; considering the price, it’s a brutal option compared to the original.
This perfume projects and lasts on clothes like crazy. Those who doubt probably haven’t tested it properly. It easily lasts 24 hours or more on clothes with a clean projection. I bought it, tested it, and have been wearing it for 5 months; maybe it’s developed more of a trail over time, but it lasts the whole workday without needing to be right next to your nose. Regarding the similarity to Invictus, it’s extremely similar, almost indistinguishable once dry.
I absolutely loved it, even though I hesitated at first because it’s from Zara and they’ve closed their stores here. My dad gave it to me for Christmas, and I wear it to school. It smells amazing and I’ve gotten so many compliments; it’s perfect for sunny days at the office. I bought it on a 2-for-1 deal with the Lisbon one (which I gave to my brother), but this is a total hit. The longevity and projection are top-notch; people notice it from a distance. For the price, it’s a miracle—it lingers on clothes, leaving a soft scent even after washing. Highly recommended.
