Descripción

Turkuaz by Regalien is a woody aquatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, this composition was created by MG Gulcicek and dsm-firmenich. The top notes reveal sea water, ozonic notes, saffron, and absinthe; the heart unfolds marine algae, blackcurrant, and Turkish rose; while the base notes settle on oakmoss, ambroxan, and amber.

  • Great perfume. Reminds me of Megamare, but without ‘dirty’ or ‘discordant’ notes. It’s perfectly blended. It also reminds me of Boadicea’s Acqua Sapphire, but this Turquaz has an ‘effervescent’ note in the background that sets it apart. Nuclear longevity and projection.

  • Megamare’s sister… Turquaz, sharing the same vibe, is the more domesticated part, less dirty, with a soapy/floral nuance that makes it more wearable. It has creamy nuances, though it remains a marine fragrance. It’s the sea, dark but calm. Megamare is the deep, stormy sea. That said, they share performance: hours and hours of projection. A real beast. For those who like Megamare but find it too versatile, this would be a more wearable option. Very, very interesting.

Another creation ‘inspired’ by Gualtieri’s success. But, is it necessary? The Megamare DNA vibrates from afar, but up close, it’s sunnier and slightly fruity than its counterpart, with fewer algae and more shower gel vibes. Like the current Orto Parisi model (already toned down), it’s not strong but penetrating. 2-3 sprays are enough for good longevity, but it’s too inoffensive for me compared to the early batches. The ‘beauty’ of Megamare also included that excessive power that no longer exists. So, if you like this olfactive family, a current batch of the former marine beast is more than enough compared to Turquaz. And you save a lot.

  • I tried it, and it lasted on my arm until the next day without me showering; the salty, marine scent is spectacular. Totally unisex.
