There is no perfume more disgusting than this; just smelling it makes me want to vomit. It lasts and projects a lot, shame about the scent; I don’t know what makes it so repulsive.
Arrived last night, batch 05/2025 (I picked it up for $47 in Argentina, great price). I sprayed two on each arm and the opening was totally different—I loved it. I bought it blind and luckily, I adore it. It’s hard to describe: it feels heavy and light at the same time, like constant wakes without being a heavy scent. After an hour, I thought it had faded (it fatigued quickly), but today I woke up smelling it intensely. I showered, and with the steam, it came back strong. Today I wore another perfume to work, and at 12 hours, I still smell it on my arm. Maybe those who don’t get the longevity aren’t getting the original, because I’m surprised by its strength. So far, very satisfied; I recommend it for spring and summer, for beach vacations at sunset or at night. I don’t think I’d wear it to the office; it’s too intense.
Batch 01/2025. Honestly, I bought it blind and it took me a while to get used to it; the first few times on blotter, it felt weird. It took days to test it on skin, and I quickly lost the salty notes, giving way to the heart, which I think has more flowers than Lattafa claims. At first, I felt it didn’t last at all, but with the heat from about a month ago, the magic arrived. It’s a daytime perfume for the heat; it resisted the sun and wind on the boat; for me, excellent longevity. The scent is best enjoyed outdoors; it’s subtle but leaves a trail.
Alright, just bought it in Chile, batch 05/25, and I was already wary of what I was reading; the reformulation did its thing—no beastmode here. The scent is very rich and distinct from any other ADN; I’ll let it macerate, but right now, at 30 minutes on skin, it’s already a lot.
Atlas is challenging; don’t buy it blind. You might love it or hate it. The opening was tough for me, but then my nose started craving more and more. The top is the most aggressive part, but if you can survive it, it transforms into something totally different: like calm after the storm.
I haven’t smelled the original Megamare, but among the clones, this one is the most carefully presented without trying to copy the Orto Parisi bottle. It’s marine but dark: seaweed and salt, like a cloudy harbor or a sunken ship. It’s not fresh or light; it’s cloying and heavy, with brutal performance. It’s for outdoors, cloudy days, and Captain Haddock-style suits. It’s the perfume people regret buying the most; many, guided by reviewers and the price, buy it blind expecting freshness and end up drowning in Moby Dick. I got swept up in this tide; it’s fun, and I’m eager to try Gualtieri’s original.
It doesn’t smell bad, but it definitely smells weird. My whole family told me it smelled strange. If you buy it blind like I did, you might be disappointed. WARNING: this is not a fresh marine scent. On skin, it lasts about 6-7 hours; it doesn’t seem like a beast. I hope it improves or some oxygenation miracle happens. That’s enough, lol.
I quit wearing Dromedario for this one. I’ve had it for 7 months and the scent is sharp—sometimes it smells like ammonia, other times like bleach. There’s something unique and good in the dry down, but that toxic edge dominates. It lasts forever and projects insanely, but if I can’t even wear it myself or around others, what’s the point?
Total perfume bomb, I bought it looking for something challenging and different in my collection and it didn’t disappoint… Great trail and projection. As for the scent, it’s like smelling sea salt with some touches of something I can’t quite distinguish that makes it a bit more pleasant and wearable. 10/10. That said, it’s that type of perfume that’s good when you already have several; I would never buy this as my only option or to use it very frequently.
The bottle is very pretty for decoration, and that’s it… If you buy it for the scent, think twice; it smells very bad. 100% regretted the purchase.
I tried it on a humid, warm day. On my skin, it lasted about 7 hours with two sprays; at times I couldn’t smell it on myself, but people around me could. It smells very peculiar, synthetic, like floor cleaner. Don’t buy it blind.
Of the clones I’ve tried, this is the one that smells most like Orto Parisi’s Megamare. I bought it from a friend in December 2024, so I assume the batch is from that year or earlier. Just two sprays are enough and you can smell it all day. A beast, but very little versatile. I only wore it one hot afternoon at 35 degrees. I’ll give it another chance since it sleeps the sleep of the just in my closet. Those looking for a basic marine fragrance should buy Davidoff’s Cool Water; this is absolutely not a fresh summer perfume at all, it’s quite unusable. Still, I love it; it’s one of the best Arab perfumes I’ve tried, if not the best.
Perfect for the beach and those summer days with light clothing and lots of sun.
Woooow! I have to admit I expected something different from Megamare, but nope: this only changes slightly in the opening. It’s incredible and nuclear! Last November, for my birthday, my girlfriend gifted me a set of niche decants that included Megamare. I loved it so much I almost gave in to the impulse to buy the full bottle, but my budget didn’t stretch (I’d already bought six other perfumes). However, I’m hoping to get it soon. Upon opening the Atlas box, even without spraying, that characteristic and delicious aroma was perceptible, reminding me of Megamare. I was blown away that a brand-new bottle already released such a strong fragrance. The big difference is in the opening: Megamare starts with salty, warm, sophisticated wood; it feels rounder and better constructed. Atlas begins with a metallic and salty sensation, almost cold. It gives it a sharper character, but not unpleasant—rather, like a unique marine vibe. In the dry-down, the salty and marine sensation persists, accompanied by green and woody notes that add depth. Ambergris adds a very peculiar sweet touch. It’s simply an incredible marine perfume. It lasts beastly, which is why I call it nuclear. After 24 hours, you still detect it, and you’ll even leave your pillow soaked the next day. The common reason people say they can’t smell it is olfactory fatigue; you stop detecting it, but people around you still do, and as you move, you leave a delicious trail. Verdict: 100/10. Don’t buy it blindly. It’s an authentic marine monster. If you wear it, avoid taking it to the office, as one drop is enough to fill a room. It’s ideal for beach days or warm nights, though you can really use it all year, even on cold days. No one will smell like anyone else!
First off, be very careful buying this blindly. I was able to try it today, and it’s completely different from anything I’ve heard. It’s not a perfume to please others, but for yourself. Personally, I didn’t like it a bit; I don’t smell anything but salty notes, and it doesn’t even smell like the beach or the sea.
Here’s an anecdote about its incredible longevity: I received it today, sprayed it once on my hand to remember the scent and let it macerate for months; I drove with the windows down for 30 minutes, spent over an hour in the pool, and even took a shower. After 12 hours, it still smells right on my skin and my car is soaked with it. I don’t understand, I’ve never seen anything like this. On the other hand, it’s a love-it-or-hate-it situation. I feel it bothers younger people, while those over 30 are captivated by it. One of my favorites.
A faithful, incredibly invasive sea storm. Don’t buy it blindly—the scent is very particular. Those who hate it find it repulsive, while those who love it are obsessed.
Love at first sniff. I bought it blindly, scared by the divided reviews, but it turned out better than expected. Fresh and rich, the bottle color reflects that. Smells like an old, oxidized diver’s helmet pulled from the ocean floor (that specific scent turned into perfume). I expected something harder and more invasive, but it wasn’t like that; I always respect it and never use many sprays. So far, it doesn’t bother me; even after wearing it for days, I notice it’s there but not constantly—it hits in bursts. I wear it in winter and it works just fine, though it should be better in summer due to its freshness. For the aroma and longevity, the price is a steal. Highly recommend Atlas; you gain way more than you lose. If you don’t get it today, give it time; maybe you’ll love it tomorrow.
Smells like hard-boiled egg at first, but it improves later; it’s not overpowering and I don’t detect any marine notes.
At first, it seemed very synthetic, but after letting it rest for two months, it was another world entirely. This happens with almost all Arab fragrances. It’s a stormy sea with a lemon touch, very addictive. I detect ambergris (or ambroxan). It lasts a long time and has great projection. It smells different and very cool. Ideal for summer afternoons, enjoying a drink on the terrace with a linen shirt.
I don’t understand the obsession with calling it ‘challenging.’ To me, it’s adorable. I sprayed it four times, and from 6 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., even after showering, it still smelled great. I haven’t tested it on anyone else, so I don’t know how it smells on others, but for me, it’s a blind buy; I’ve never hated a perfume.
I’ve been wanting to try this perfume for a while, and today I finally got the chance. I’m still deciding if I hate it or love it. Just so you know, I’m not an expert, so I’ll express my thoughts as best I can. I tested it on skin. At first, it was very unpleasant, and the first thing that came to mind was thanking myself for not buying it blind because it was frankly horrible. It’s a citrus, marine scent with a burnt rubber note. A few minutes in, it started to become unpleasant but also addictive. Around thirty minutes, everything changes, and it becomes a much more elegant aquatic scent with a lingering trace of that burnt plastic note, but still addictive. Of course, it doesn’t leave anyone indifferent. After this first impression, I think I’ll buy a decant to test the development over a full day and see how it sits on clothes.
It’s the ugliest fragrance I’ve ever smelled, by far. I wore it on my skin and not only did the opening smell bad, but the dry-down did too. Literally smells like rotten eggs, do not buy it.
It smells like interesting, potent chemical salt. I liked it a lot and used it quite a bit. I think I’ll wear it in moderate seasons because in summer, when the sun is intense, it’s impossible: it mixes with sweat, amplifies it, and smells rancid. I wore it, sweated, and smelled dirty; I wore it to work for a few days and walked around embarrassed by the smell, haha. Maybe at night or when the heat isn’t so oppressive. It’s the only one I’ve tried that mixes with me to create such a bad result. I have it saved for the right moment and sometimes sniff it but don’t use it; I haven’t tried it in winter yet, so I’ll give it a chance. One day I went boating, decided to be a sea wolf, and layered Atlas, Wajood, and Náutica; I smelled intense, haha. Value for money is super good; I’ve even seen it for 20 euros around there.
Literally the perfume with the best longevity and projection I’ve tried in years. Crazy. I didn’t know they still made fragrances like this; lately, everything lasts three hours or less. Great perfume, salty/marine, with a very cool vibe. I love it. Huge discovery 🙂
It’s an exquisite fragrance for open spaces, full of class and presence. It’s not for people who can’t handle strong scents or wide sillage. Lattafa nailed it.
I’m not a perfume pro, but Atlas is a life insurance policy: it smells good and lasts forever. I don’t care if it’s been reformulated; the price is fair, and it does its job.
I tested it on skin and paper, and I’ll be buying a full bottle for around $30 in a week. Warning: you have to try a decant or test it in-store. Right after spraying, it smells aquatic, salty, and citrusy. After five minutes, the floral notes kick in, but the saltiness is sharp and annoying until about ten minutes pass, when it settles and lets the floral and aquatic facets shine. The longevity is insane: it lasted three days on my wrist. Even though the scent is subtle, it’s noticeable all day, easily hitting 12 hours without fail. The projection is brutal too; one spray on paper flooded my room, and I could smell it down the hallway; that paper still smelled two weeks later. I don’t even want to know how it sits on clothes. 9/10, its only downside is that it’s hard to like, both for yourself and anyone else who smells it.
It’s a notable perfume, but definitely not for everyone or something to buy without testing. It has niche character, outstanding longevity, and good projection. In my case, it smells like an old wooden pier soaked in algae. Its main drawback is a lack of versatility; I don’t see it for evenings, work, or romantic dates. It’s perfect for a hot summer day by the coast in a relaxed setting. You should try it at least once.
Batch 2025 review: First, it’s a different perfume, not very challenging, but not for everyone. The opening isn’t annoying, but it’s not my favorite; when it dries, it’s salty, floral, and woody. I sense burnt wood that I don’t dislike, but it’s different from a commercial perfume. Am I the only one noticing that burnt wood? I also sense a slight sweetness that rounds out the composition without being cloying. I’m not sure when to wear it, but I liked it during the day; I want to try it at the gym and outdoors. It’s very mineral and different; if you’re not afraid to stand out, it’s for you. I don’t see it for the office or dates, be careful. It doesn’t follow the path of ADG Profondo or Creed’s Milestone Imperial, nor does it fit the mold of salty-sweet commercial fragrances. With a trained nose and confidence, it can be recommended, but nothing formal or too close. I’d describe it as wild; the dry down is the best part.
I read everything about Atlas and tested a 2025 batch. Don’t let it scare you; it smells like a kid or girl in school, teenagers at the gym, or anyone trying to smell good to buy bread. No dirty sea, algae, or monsters. It’s like a layer of perfumed salt with soft plants and woods. The salty note mixed with a hint of sweetness is very balanced. The key is that it’s ‘Mineral.’ It doesn’t shout or smell five meters away; with ten sprays, you get bursts of cleanliness that aren’t annoying. The fixation is good and lasts hours. For comparison: Kenzo Homme Intense is much more explosive and beast-like.
The scent reminds me of highly concentrated ink. Ultra-synthetic, confusing, and it overwhelms the senses. No sea, no salt. If you’re looking for the concept this perfume is supposed to have, try Le Sel D’Issey instead.
First day of use, and I don’t get why people say it’s hard to wear. It’s literally a compliment factory. I see nothing challenging; the ambroxan is noticeable, and the best part is that it smells a thousand times better on skin than dry. It’ll be my go-to for social gatherings in the heat. I think it’s totally unisex; there’s a floral note that reinforces that idea.
Unlike other reviews, for me, it’s hard to wear. The opening is a hit of Calone that smells like ink, but once it dries down, it’s very well-executed, clean, and deep with a citrus touch that makes it pleasant and reliable. The performance is impeccable and very long-lasting, though it doesn’t project as much as I expected; people have only told me it smells clean. It resembles Megamare but isn’t identical, as if you’d diluted it. A bit disappointing, but at $30, it’s a lower price for what it offers. That ink-like Calone opening makes it hard to wear, though it might work if you’re outdoors. Curiously, once I applied it to my arms, sat with my girlfriend, and rested my arms on my lap. Three days later, I wore those pants to work and felt bursts of an incredible aroma: Atlas soaked into the fabric, projecting from my crotch all the way to my nose. I recommend it for layering; I combined it with Zara’s Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes and it boosted that fragrance significantly.
You’ve probably seen it’s a 1-to-1 dupe of Megamare or a full-on summer perfume. I went in with those expectations for something fresh and lasting in 40-degree heat, but when they sprayed it on me, what a bad smell: like rotten eggs, both in the opening and dry down. I gave it a chance, thinking it would be different dry, but at 30 minutes it smelled the same, and after two hours it hadn’t evolved. I tested it at a perfumerie in Santiago; even after showering, it still smelled rancid. Maybe the perfume was old and oxidized poorly, but personally, I don’t see anyone wearing it unless you want to repel everyone. 0/10. A couple of weeks later, I tried it again and got the same result: a spoiled smell that lasts for hours, even after showering and sleeping, I could still smell it the next day and on my clothes. It has great projection and longevity; it lasted four days on a shirt I only wear at home. I asked a relative and they just said it smelled like perfume. Maybe it’s my pH. Days later: this thing lasts like four days on a house garment, with immense longevity.
I tried it in-store and didn’t buy it, but on the jacket where it touched, it’s still noticeable after two weeks. It’s very potent, but I don’t detect those wild references to rust or algae. There’s a particular scent in the opening and first hour, probably an ingredient from Lattafa that they also use in Dynasty, which seems to ‘mask’ the fragrance at first. I’m not sure if that ingredient fades over time.
I bought it two years ago due to the Megamare hype. Upon trying it, I was disappointed (a coworker who knows nothing about perfumes fell in love with it so much that I sold it). When I wore it, it overwhelmed the room with a heavy scent; I noticed citrus-sweet nuances that I didn’t feel on my skin. Five months later, I bought it again to give it another chance. Let it air out for a bit and tried it again, but I still don’t like it. Up close, it smells like Calone (the one some say smells like eggs), but from a distance and after hours, it becomes more pleasant. Not for daily use, but it’s extremely long-lasting; I’ve worn it for four hours and it’s still in my trail. A bittersweet review, that’s perfumery.
It’s a standard fresh scent for daytime—nothing more, nothing less—but once it dries down, it becomes incredible: smells like the sea with a salty touch that elevates it.
Ocean, yes; beach, no. Imagining a sunny beach with tanned people and a breeze is a mistake. Atlas is deep, rough, and salty ocean. It’s like a cloudy, windy sunset walking among mossy rocks. It’s the captain of a taciturn ship gazing at the horizon, standing at the bow swaying in the vastness with no land in sight. Don’t buy blindly; this is different from any green liquid you’ve ever smelled. It’s the most beastly, projecting, and long-lasting fragrance I know (use a little). 100% masculine, rough, and authentic. Hard to wear for any nose, but if you dare to dive deep, a treasure awaits in the 55 ml bottle that’s worth every drop.
It can be risky, but for me, it’s delicious. It lasts forever, even after a shower. Smells like spring and summer, an intense ocean with waves and moss on the rocks. It’s captivating for its vastness yet intimate like the coastline, a charming place.
