I like white flowers and bought this because the description promised citrus notes like mandarin and lemon, but they aren’t noticeable; it’s pure jasmine from beginning to end. The first time it was a bit sweet and heavy, but upon repeating it, I can’t smell it after two hours, so I have to apply it to my clothes.
Exquisite, a jasmine from start to finish that lasts all day.
Sweet and intense jasmine, I love it.
At 14, a friend gifted me three Yves Rocher miniatures: Rose Absolue, Iris Noir, and this Tendre Jasmin. Unlike the others, I notice a lot of citrus here, especially the mandarin, which I’m fascinated by. It lasts about six hours, and since I smell it so much, I don’t wear it indoors; in my small office, it gave me anxiety and made me feel a bit dizzy. It’s imprudent to use it like that, but outdoors it’s a fresh, elegant delight. Thanks to my friend for this treasure; I recommend it to everyone without fear of being copied.
It has two clear things: it smells great and doesn’t break the bank. It’s the pure jasmine for those who love it—nothing complicated, very natural. On my skin it doesn’t last long and the sillage is moderate, perfect for going out without being too formal.
I read that Jacques Cavallier loves jasmine and gives himself body and soul to it, and he is indeed an authority, especially in Grasse where they call it ‘the flower’. I bought Tendre Jasmin blindly and was disappointed: sometimes it smells unpleasant, not synthetic but not natural either. On my skin it’s very changeable, never equally sweet or sour, and the citrus notes grate on me, ruining a sour jasmine without any cleanliness or delicacy. I don’t notice the mimosa, maybe just to soften it, which is a pity because with Poême it did wonders. To me, it seems like an overly acidic fruity floral, but everyone who smells it on me loves it and considers it pure and natural. Maybe I was unfair expecting a Murmure light, but it’s a pleasant, easy, simple, and fresh fragrance with linear development and acceptable longevity for Yves Rocher. Tender and lively for those who praise it, and sometimes for me too, so I’ll give it more chances.
Years ago, I read that Jacques Cavallier said jasmine was his favorite flower and he gave himself completely to it. I loved his creations like Murmure. He was born in Grasse, where jasmine is sacred. I bought Tendre Jasmin blind and was disappointed: sometimes it smells unpleasant, not natural, and changes on my skin. The citrus is grating and ruins the jasmine, which ends up sour. I don’t perceive the mimosa. It’s a shame because Cavallier did wonders with it in Poême. I think it’s just my problem, since everyone who smells it on me likes it and finds it pure and natural. Maybe I was unfair expecting a Murmure light, but it’s a pleasant, easy, and fresh fragrance. It lasts about 6 hours, tender and lively for those who praise it, and sometimes for me too. I’ll give it more chances.
I just wrote my review, but it ended up with a guest name.
I bought it again a few days ago, but now it smells very citrusy and throws off the floral harmony. I gave it away because I didn’t feel comfortable wearing it: it felt too soft, fresh, and had moderate longevity. Recommended if you’re looking for something clean, natural, and discreet.
It was a blind buy looking for a dominant jasmine, but it disappointed me. It’s not a white floral; it’s a fruity one with peaches and mimosas. It’s not bad, but it’s not for spring or summer; it can feel suffocating.
I bought it blindly looking for a perfume where jasmine would be the star, but it disappointed me. It’s not a white floral as it should be, but a fruity-floral where I only notice peaches with mimosa. It’s not a bad scent, simply not what I expected, and besides, I don’t feel it for spring or summer, as it can feel suffocating.
I liked it, as a jasmine lover. It’s very wearable.
I cried because I couldn’t buy a full bottle. I was left with just a 10 ml vial that’s running low. But Plein Soleil arrived, the younger, more floral, and daytime sibling. It’s exquisite. With a little to go, I’m happy.
What a delight, such a delicate jasmine. It smells like a summer night. It’s feminine and tender. It hurts that Yves Rocher is retiring their best fragrances. We’ll have to buy several units of each before they disappear.
What a delight, such a delicate jasmine. It smells like a summer night. It’s feminine and tender. I still have bottles of Vanille Noir and So Elixir. It hurts that Yves Rocher keeps discontinuing their best perfumes to launch others that are less good. In the end, we’ll have to buy ten units of each fragrance we like, knowing they’ll pull it in two or three years…
I agree with Maeva’s review: it doesn’t smell like solitary jasmine, but is accompanied by other ingredients. Tendre Jasmin was a jewel in the Secrets d’Essences line, where each perfume reinvented a classic. While others were boozy vanilla, medieval iris, or jammy rose, this jasmine had its own twist: citrus and exotic, with lemon present but subtle, plus a touch of honeyed, bee-like mimosa. At first it seems like jasmine, but soon it gets lost in white notes drowned out by spicy lemon and spicy mimosa, reminding me more of warm body oils. Unfortunately, the line is discontinued, and today Yves Rocher only has sticky perfumes left. Ten years ago, creators like Cavallier or Gracia-Cetto did magic with updated versions of classics like Tabu or Eau de Soir at a good price on the secondhand market, a true gem worth rediscovering.
I agree with Maeva: the jasmine doesn’t stand out as a soloist, though the other notes do. Tendre Jasmin was a little gem in the Secrets d’Essences line, alongside other wonders like Vanille Noire, Voile d’Ambre, Iris Noir, Accord Chic, Rose Absolue, and Eau de Soir. They were all perfect and reinvented their families. This jasmine had a citrusy, exotic twist from the lemon, drowned out by the citrus and sweet mimosa. Today, the house only offers sticky perfumes, but ten years ago, creators like Cavallier or Gracia-Cetto were doing magic. It’s worth seeking out secondhand.
I bought it online, and to my nose, it’s identical to the beloved Glam Jasmine by Michael Kors. I recommend it as a great alternative.
I just bought it online, and for my modest nose, it’s identical to my beloved Michael Kors Glam Jasmine, so I recommend it as an alternative.
Fresh and light jasmine with citrus notes, perfect for winter mornings. The mimosa makes it feel like a fluffy, luminous cake. A lost gem from Yves Rocher that won’t be back.
