This Yves Rocher fragrance falls within the Secret d’Essences range, and I perceive it as a spicy floral oriental. The opening is strong and boozy, dominated by pink pepper and elemi, giving it a spicy and resinous character. In the heart, an elegant iris emerges, introducing a softly powdery floral note. At the base, a warm benzoin combined with a dry incense note, not excessively smoky, grants this fragrance an unusual depth and personality. In the background, I detect woody and slightly earthy notes that linger on the skin. I was worried about the incense note, but here it appears very soft and perfectly blended with the sweetness of benzoin. It resembles old-school orientals: rich, sophisticated, and mysterious. Its character is perceptibly unisex; in fact, I prefer it on a man due to the prevalence of sweet, warm, balsamic, and resinous notes. Perfect for an elegant adult woman on freezing winter nights. A bit classic and semi-formal, but far from boring. A perfectly assembled ensemble of oils and resins that add warmth and sensuality to the wearer. A dreamy and comforting fragrance. Moderate longevity, about 5 hours, very soft with almost no trail. It doesn’t need to grab attention. Its simple, clear glass bottle is part of this house’s personality. The white, grooved box comes sealed with a wax seal, attesting to the essence inside. A modern oriental with a touch of nostalgia and another surprise for this winter.
This Yves Rocher gem from the Secret d’Essences line is a powerful spicy oriental floral. It opens strong and boozy with pink pepper and elemi, giving it a resinous, spicy character. In the heart, an elegant iris adds that softly powdery flower that balances everything. Below, warm benzoin and dry incense (without being smoky) give it unique depth and personality. The base features woody and earthy notes that linger on the skin. I was worried about the incense, but here it’s very soft and well-blended with the sweetness of the benzoin. It evokes ancient, unctuous, sophisticated, and mysterious orientals. It’s unisex, though I see it better on a man due to those sweet, warm, and balsamic notes. Perfect for an adult woman on freezing winter nights. Classic and semi-formal, but nothing boring. A perfect blend of oils and resins that brings warmth and sensuality. Dreamy and comforting. Medium longevity, about 5 hours, very soft and sillage-free, no need to draw attention. The simple clear glass bottle fits the brand, and the white ribbed box comes sealed with a wax seal. A modern oriental with nostalgia and a great surprise for this winter.
Yeah, well, it has an air of NU YSL but very skin-scented, even though the original isn’t exactly a monster either.
Almost always, a creation by Olivier Cresp brings a pleasant surprise to me; if this is combined with perfumer Salamagne, things promise something good. I tried it a few days ago, and although I’m a fan of spicy aromas and get seduced by compositions with an enigmatic incense, I feel this ‘Chic’ accord didn’t catch me: pink pepper and roses… that’s it! Simple, clean, and a bit sharp… similar fragrances: ‘Pleasures’ by Estée Lauder. Medium longevity and medium sillage.

It belongs to aromatherapy; it’s relaxing, not sumptuous, special, and uncommon.
It reminds me a bit of L’Interdit by Givenchy; they share something I can’t quite put my finger on. I own both; that shared element made me buy them, but I find them too strong lately, so I prefer something fresher.
Already discontinued in Spain. I managed to get the last bottle at one of the Yves Rocher stores in Madrid, on sale. I like it quite a bit, and it feels spicy and oriental. It distills mystery and sensuality. Ideal for cold autumn and winter nights.
Very balsamic. Smells like freshly cut hay and an herbal apothecary, probably due to the spices. Zero trail, minimal longevity, it’s not worth the price.
This is a hidden treasure found in the depths of Wallapop and gray market sales at a ridiculous price. On Fragrantica in English and Russian, it’s considered Yves Rocher’s greatest achievement, and I’m not surprised; here it has its recognition too. It has an intoxicating balsamic sweetness and a wonderful touch of iris, without being a sweet, easygoing medley like certain current perfumes whose names I’d rather not mention. If you like Shalimar, you’ll love this. I adore it for relaxing after an intense workout session. It’s very autumnal and enveloping, like a soft blanket, but addicts like me wear it even in summer. What a shame they discontinued it, Yves Rocher.

A discontinued little gem that reminds me a bit of Shalimar EDP: it opens with a touch of amber that fades to let the iris and pink pepper emerge. It doesn’t smell like incense to me, but it definitely smells great. I detect it as unisex, feminine, but if you’re not of the fragile masculinity type, it looks perfect on a man, especially for walking around the house on cool days. Its sillage and longevity are a bit limited and perhaps leave something to be desired, as it evaporates in about two hours and stays close to the skin, but it’s definitely a little gem.
A small discontinued jewel that reminds me a bit of Shalimar EDP: it opens with an amber touch that fades to reveal iris and pepper. It doesn’t smell like incense to me, but it definitely smells great. I perceive it as unisex-feminine, but if you’re not into fragile masculinity, it looks perfect on a man, especially for lounging at home on chilly days. It’s the jewel of my collection since it’s been discontinued. I don’t wear it because it feels too elegant and stately for me, but it’s an absolute marvel.
