About Stellar Silk

Stellar Silk by BDK Parfums: A Vanilla Oriental with Warm Spice

Stellar Silk is the latest release from BDK Parfums, debuting in 2026. Crafted by perfumer Jordi Fernández, it’s a men’s and women’s fragrance with a soft, powdery character wrapped in oriental warmth.

The scent opens with cinnamon and ginger, then moves into a creamy heart of Bourbon vanilla, orris root, butter, tonka bean, and Siam benzoin, all resting on a base of white sandalwood.

The opening is bright and spicy, with cinnamon and ginger creating a gentle warmth rather than a sharp bite. Soon after, Bourbon vanilla takes over, wrapping the composition in a creamy, almost edible softness.

The heart is where Stellar Silk becomes distinctive. Orris root adds a powdery, cosmetic elegance, while butter and tonka bean push the scent toward a smooth, lactonic sweetness. Siam benzoin introduces a balsamic depth that keeps the sweetness from feeling flat.

White sandalwood anchors the base with a subtle woody texture, giving the perfume a silky, polished finish. The overall effect is more refined than typical gourmands, with a transparency that makes it easy to wear.

Key accords include vanilla, powder, wood, warm spice, iris, amber, balsamic, sweet, lactonic, and earthy notes. These layers unfold gradually on the skin, revealing a different facet at every stage of wear.

With an average rating of 4.19 out of 5 from 257 ratings, Stellar Silk has already found an audience among fans of modern orientals. It feels like a confident addition to BDK Parfums’ lineup, balancing comfort and sophistication in equal measure.

Anyone who loves sweet, vanillic orientals with a polished edge—especially fans of iris, amber, and cozy woody bases—will enjoy Stellar Silk.

Stellar Silk balances gourmand comfort with refined perfumery, making it an easy choice for cooler weather and intimate evenings.

  1. It’s special, even though when I saw the olfactory pyramid I thought: Ugh, another vanilla… But no. Let me tell you, this is not another vanilla. It is a vanilla perfume, yes, but with an opening of ginger and cinnamon, which is a delight. Then comes creamy vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood… but with that ever-present ginger spark that is the charm of this perfume. It’s the one that surprised me the least of the 3 new launches from BDK. Maybe because I have so many vanilla perfumes in my collection, it would be the last one I’d buy. But I admit I like it a lot. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 8.5/10
