Interesting evolution of this perfume. I’ve known it for a while, always in a decant, and I’ve tried it 3 or 4 times with the same feeling: a twist of BabyCat down that path. A few days ago, I tested it thoroughly on my skin at an event at Le Secret du Marais. The opening is the same, a BabyCat twist, rich but familiar. But the drydown… oh, the drydown is pure magic. It went from a discard to a guaranteed future purchase.
The evolution of this perfume is curious. I’ve known about it for a while, always in dry down, and I would have tried it 3 or 4 times, always getting the same feeling: a twist of BabyCat down that path. A pure vanilla and tonka bean opening, with delicious sweet almond nuances. It has that tonka bean quality that never cloyes; it’s a perfect sweetness (at least for me, who isn’t a gourmand lover). After an hour, I notice a lot of iris, which persists in the dry down: a creamy, vanilla-infused iris. Honestly, it’s a very good scent. Straight to my wishlist.

Like with everything from Jordi Fernández, you’ll either love it or not, but it’s well-made. It’s very much in the line of BabyCat and Lune Feline. I really like it, even though I prefer some of his others, but once I’ve tried it, I have to own it. I know I’ll wear it on many gray mornings or rainy afternoons. Projection is moderate, and longevity on me exceeds 7 hours, even longer on clothes. What stands out most is the ambered touch of vanilla.
Thanks, Rober, for the chance to try it. The overall scent is nice, though it doesn’t fully enchant me. The opening is citrusy and spicy with a sparkling sweetness that’s my biggest drawback. Everything is balanced; the sweet orange is the first thing I notice, giving way to cinnamon, which is the star for a good while. It’s noticeable cinnamon but not suffocating. Interesting opening where iris starts to peek out, leading the heart: a luminous iris, nothing dense or lipstick-like, feels fresh, reminds me of Acríbelo. Very wearable and pleasant. This iris will be the matrix for a long time… iris, iris, iris. Opening and a half, lots of light and brightness. Then the turn is wide: only the iris remains to hand over the spotlight to the resinous tonka bean in the base. You can feel those three notes, and the light fades. It gains density but not darkness, sweet but not gourmand. A curious olfactory journey. From start to finish, quality, elegant, lasts easily 7-8 hours, and is unisex. Ideal for cold days. Drawbacks: the sugary orange opening takes points off, and maybe it lacks the magic to hook me. Still recommended.
