I hold this fragrance in high respect, affection, and nostalgia, as it reminds me of the person I gifted it to, and even to her, despite the years. Its opening is clearly fruity: a tender, sweet peach, quince jam, along with a touch of white florals, the acidity of blackcurrants and blackberries, contribute a sweet-fruity, fresh-floral, and crystal-soapy opening that wraps you in something special. A few minutes later, a sweet combination of roses and velvety violets appears, which, with the vanilla, becomes delicately exquisite, jovial, cheerful, and radiant. Its base is a soft, earthy sandalwood; subtly, the musk adds balance, sustainability, and presence, ending in a charming and captivating aroma. It has a soft, delicate trail but is constant (considerable time), like harp strings: each delicately touched note is a delight. It’s neither too childish nor too adult; it’s right in the middle, adolescent and youthful, elegant and versatile, for daytime or nighttime use (but not in exhausting heat). A soft, sweet, powdery, soapy aroma that denotes innocence, adolescent femininity, like those strawberry/peach flavored lip balms. The minimalist bottle is a beauty: reddish glass to see the pink liquid, a faceted cola bottle silhouette with lions (not yet the Versace Medusa), and a cap like a chess piece with another lion and a Greek key line. I met it during my student years and had the luck of meeting a special person; every time we met, I was saturated with this scent. We had such great chemistry, we were the ideal couple, we agreed on everything, we discovered the world together. Sometimes I wonder why fate didn’t play in our favor, why we didn’t stay together. It evokes that youthful student stage, believing in love for a lifetime, being innocent, cheesy, romantic, and detailed. I associate it with a teenage girl’s first perfume, shy and romantic, reserved but intelligent, with beautiful dreams and first loves. Go ahead and gift it, even if you think you have no chances, that it won’t peel, scrape, or ignore you; with this perfume, you’ll have one and only chance, take advantage of it and don’t let it go, like what happened to me.
I ordered it for the notes and wanted something from the 90s, since I’ve realized I love perfumes from that era. I didn’t remember the scent or know if I’d smelled it before. I bought it and it arrived today. I sprayed it on the back of my hand: initially a bit alcoholic, but seconds later, the magic. It’s very sparkling, synthetic without a doubt. On my skin, it’s fruity at the start with a blackcurrant acidity, very potent. As it settles, the flowers come in: roses that don’t stand out, yes, but the lily of the valley, ylang-ylang, and maybe the water lily. They accompany the fruits without the peach; rather apricot and blackcurrant. It sweetens a little, it’s acidic and sweet (but not cloying, just like a shadow), which is why it’s sparkling and fresh with a 90s touch. The flowers are present, slightly powdery, just enough to identify unripe violets. The woods are barely felt; the sandalwood adds depth. I’ve really liked it and now I’m sure I’ve smelled it in the 90s. It adapts to any climate, safe for daytime or spring/summer. It’s potent and can overwhelm with too much chaf-chaf. It lasts 5-6 hours on my skin, more on the skin and on clothes. I’ll have to test it well on my neck and wrists; surely it will be better. Happy to have it in the collection. Go for it, lovers of fresh, fruity, and 90s florals, though it adapts well to 2022 even if it’s not gourmand.
Although it’s for a young crowd, I recommend it to those who love extremely sweet and cloying aromas. Even though I love sweet and gourmand scents, this goes beyond my limits. It’s pure sugar with strawberries; I detect some cheapness after a while, but the freesia invades my senses for hours. It was making me dizzy, and I took a long time to finish because of the strength; it was so sweet that at 12 years old, bees chased me with it, haha.
Sweet, tender, and slightly fruity fragrance; it stays true to its 90s essence and surprises the nose. It has good longevity on the skin, though it could be better, and the trail is also decent. I find it very versatile, but for a young crowd, because it lacks class.
Fruity? Mmm, let’s say it’s a bath of roses, but without fruit. I don’t detect peach, vanilla, or sandalwood. They are intensely musky roses; not bad, but I used it as an air freshener. My older sister tried it and loved it, so now it’s hers 🙂
Super artificial. It smells like mixed fruits with liquor. To me, it smells like air freshener. I don’t detect any powderiness or find it easy to wear. It feels like pure alcohol and gives me a headache… it’s too sharp. It smells like a spoiled perfume, the kind that goes bad over time.
I absolutely love this perfume. I’ve been wearing it for about 6-7 years, and it’s eternally my favorite. For the price, it has good longevity and projection. It lasts about 7 hours on me. It’s not cloying at all and perfect for night.
This perfume reminds me of putting red rose petals in water and then getting that delicious rose scent. Personally, I don’t feel any fruitiness; if you’re a lover of red rose scents, this is your ideal perfume.
I gifted this to my mom out of curiosity. My first fragrance was ‘Blue Jeans’—same bottle, different color—and I thought it was an interesting blind buy. When it arrived at my mom’s house, she found it familiar but in pink. Upon application, it smells like fresh roses with a splash of water on top, though the dry-down gets powdery, cheap, and talcum-heavy. The trail is average, lasting about 5-6 hours. It’s hard to wash off your hands, but it’s pretty good. I’d describe it as when someone gifts you roses and sprays them with water; that fresh scent is its aroma, guaranteed compliments. Despite being vintage, anyone 16 and up can wear it. It’s very versatile and recommended.
I tried this perfume, and honestly, the opening has nothing to do with the dry-down; the latter becomes an unbearable, sharp sweetness. It’s absolutely not my style.
I didn’t like it… I tested it before buying it blindly. The opening notes were amazing; for that moment, I was ready to buy the fragrance, but I let the moment pass and tested it on my skin. Over time, the sweet and fruity notes disappeared, leaving behind intensely talcum-like aromas, while the rest became imperceptible. On my skin, it just smelled like talcum with essence, so I discarded it.
I bought it blindly because I read it had two of my favorite notes: rose and violet. However, I agree with Rosa Ruth; it smells to me like those kids’ cough syrups (a medicine for children), though the scent isn’t entirely unpleasant, I’ll just finish the bottle, but I won’t repurchase.
It was a blind buy because it was on super sale. Based on the brand, I expected a more delicate and refined aroma, but instead, I find it super harsh and synthetic. I’d summarize it as an extremely sweet, overripe peach, about to go bad. I don’t find it refreshing; I find it cloying. It could easily be a perfume for teenagers available at any pharmacy for a third of the price.
Red Jeans has a lot going for it, but it just doesn’t win me over. Price? Bargain. Bottle design? Looks like Baz Luhrmann designed it. Scent? Clean! Okay, all correct, we’re off to a good start, but… the trail is non-existent. On skin, it clings moderately, staying shyly close to the skin. Violet, a note I usually hate, is drowned out by a slap of fruit and toothpaste. The phases move faster than a tornado: moments of Cheap and Chic Moschino, a faint tobacco veil that dies quickly… and then boom, the hit of locker room smell, stifling post-sports shower at school, some detangling product after the pool, and freshly spit mouthwash. All this at a speed I’d rather Alonso handle. Red Jeans is fast, nostalgic… but doesn’t convince me: stuck like a mummy in the 90s, Claire Danes, floral dresses, and half-peeled Nirvana posters. Nope.
I wanted to like this perfume. It’s the one my mom used to put on me as a child. Pause to admire my mom’s stylish move of spraying Versace on a toddler-sized Nenuco. But I find it too linear and cloyingly sweet. It has notes I love (peach, freesia, ylang-ylang…), but I have a low tolerance for rose and feel it swallows everything else. The beginning has some interesting touches, but they’re extremely brief. Soon, it turns into a very synthetic and cloying scent. Over the years, I’ve converted to Blue Jeans, which seems as special to me as Red Jeans does generic. That’s the one my mom gifts me now.
What a delightful perfume. Honestly, I bought it out of nostalgia, as when I was little, my mom bought Baby Blue for me, Blue Jeans for my older brother, and Red Jeans for herself. I recently bought Blue Jeans, but it repulsed me, so I decided to gift Red Jeans to my mom, mostly for the memory. I love it; it’s super simple: sweet rose, nothing else, ultra-feminine and very sexy—a marvel. Every time I see the bottle, I can’t help but unscrew the cap and smell it; it seems irresistible. I don’t quite understand the usability of women’s perfumes; with such a well-balanced sweetness level, it feels like it should work both day and night. If I were an aunt, I’d wear it during the day, but for night, I prefer others, though the sweet point makes it totally suitable for evening too. Performance in winter or summer? I don’t know, but given the price, I can say it’s pretty, cheap, and sexy.
A fruity and refreshing opening of an enveloping, juicy peach nectar, sweet and tropical, dominating the start. A few minutes later, that sugary fruit note settles with floral touches, which remain practically until the end. The fruity accords ease up to make way for the rose, soft and talcum-like, with violet hints. In the final phase, these floral notes continue to dominate strongly—a blend of many flowers since each note is hard to distinguish individually, accompanied by a sweet dry-down, slightly musky, with vanilla in the background to delight, finishing with a timid woody base from sandalwood.
This little perfume is gorgeous. I was eager to try it and add it to my collection for its notes and the beautiful bottle. I detect a coquettish and playful scent; I’ve seen many reviews on other perfumes mentioning it reminds them of Barbie dolls’ smell—I didn’t get it until I used Red Jeans. It smells lovely; I recommend it for daily wear and any age.
I never thought much of it and didn’t own it, but now I really like it and have it. I know that sounds crazy, but to me, it feels like a fresh Tresor, leaning aquatic because of the strong water lily note. Very 90s, right when fruits became the absolute stars. Peaches and ripe apricots in abundance, with flowers in a swirl. As an eau de toilette, it’s not too heavy, very wearable, and very feminine. Always complimented. Designed for young girls, but now I think it suits any age. The packaging is original and still grabs attention, even though it’ll be 30 next year—very commendable. I like that brands offer a wide price range, accessible for every budget. The downside is they automatically label the cheaper ones as worse fragrances, which isn’t always true, especially not this one. I’m sure more experienced and sophisticated noses will dismantle my arguments with two words. I’ll keep enjoying this Red Jeans, after all, that’s what it’s for.
If you love vintage vibes, this is your perfume. It has that magic rose, talcum, and soapy scent—a nostalgic fragrance reminiscent of our moms’ classic creams. For me, it’s a charm. If you’re looking for something trendy, don’t buy it, but if you want to innovate with an old-school aroma (almost a paradox), it could be your pick.
Oh my god, what a disgusting scent for me. It smells like cheap perfume roses from an isolated village grandma, like she kept it stored for 20 years for special occasions. It’s sharp, shrill, and the worst part is that it lasts and projects. It gave me a migraine and upset my stomach. It smells like nothing but attacked roses. Nothing fruity. Definitely not for me.
I bought it blind… if I hadn’t, I never would have! Besides lasting nothing, it smells quite bad. Very acidic. I don’t like it at all. On the other hand, Blue Jeans for men is one of the richest men’s perfumes in the world ❤️
Undoubtedly very sweet, and I see it as exclusive for women. It has good longevity and is super feminine. My mom has it. For the price, it’s quite good, and as a man, I say it looks great on a woman.
I bought it and it’s a nice fragrance. My bottle smells like alcohol at first, but in seconds that sweet rose comes through; on my skin, it stays like that, nothing more. It’s feminine, but it lasts very little: it drops after 20 minutes and lingers on the skin for maybe two more hours. If it’s on sale and you like it, go for it; if not, given the performance and that there are cheaper options, the price is high. The men’s Blue Jeans is better thought out, smells rich, and is different: it projects and is stronger. Just as Red Jeans is feminine, Blue Jeans is masculine. I confess I bought it because of the tin 😂
It reminds me of soap and talcum powder, very 90s. I love it! Perfect for spring or summer, ideal for daytime. It leaves a super clean and polished feeling.
It’s a totally 90s scent; personally, I’m not a fan because the powdery note makes me want to sneeze. Besides, I only perceive the peach and the powder. In my opinion, it’s a very simple perfume, but I understand why it might appeal to others.
At first, I was indifferent; I picked it up because of the promo and the beautiful packaging, but now I don’t agree with my perfume-ist friends. If it’s a pretty perfume, it doesn’t fit my usual style (I’m more into sweets, and Versace Red Jeans isn’t that). It’s the only floral in my collection, and yet I like it. When you want to feel fresh in the heat, I highly recommend it. It’s different from what I usually wear, but yes, I would definitely buy it again. It’s stepping out of your comfort zone. Not at all ‘for older ladies’—I’m 24 and I love it! It has no age, it’s timeless. Although I admit I wouldn’t put it on a 14-year-old, I would on a girl 19 and up. Just keep an open mind. It has moderate sillage, not overwhelming. I picked it up again weeks later and enjoyed it a lot.
What a perfume! :S It’s super versatile, clean, and very cozy. It has a feminine, warm, vintage touch that feels great for any occasion, though it doesn’t have much sillage; it tends to go unnoticed if you’re not close. It’s ideal for daily and intimate use, so don’t expect to delight others—it’s a perfume for you. Still, people have told me I smell good in it? Yes, I won’t deny it, but nothing exaggerated. It’s modest, and I think personality matters more than age, as it’s a pleasant and very natural scent (the soapy rose and violets are what stand out most on my skin). Anyway, I recommend testing it before buying, because it doesn’t resemble any current perfumes :9
I’m a bit confused by this perfume because the notes don’t match what I expected. I didn’t buy it blind; I tested it in-store and thought it smelled like sweet, delicious berries (the red bottle and fruity top notes didn’t help me judge it well). But I should have read reviews before buying, because it’s definitely an incredibly clean, soapy, powdery scent. If a Dove bar of soap were a perfume, this would be it. The packaging and tin are adorable; I think this line makes excellent gifts (especially at the price; mine was 360 MXN with a discount). Although I haven’t loved it, I wear it when I’m staying home and want something soft and fresh. It feels quite linear and very strong at first, with average projection and longevity; at home, without much movement and in the sun, it lasts about 4 hours, which doesn’t bother me. I wouldn’t buy it again, but I’d like to try the other Versace Jeans scents.
It’s a delight—super light and easy to wear, perfect for blind gifting if someone loves florals. Smells intensely floral, like you just walked out of a natural flower shop. It lasts on the skin but is soft with minimal sillage, so you can enjoy it without bothering anyone.
Nice perfume, good price, a summery little peach with a ’90s soul.
At first, I smell strong fruity notes and blackcurrants, then the roses come through. It’s not ugly, but it doesn’t blow me away either; maybe it’s because it resembles many others and lacks originality. It’s a valid option for rose or floral lovers, and it sells well in perfumeries, but I’m passing.
Based on the notes, it seems modern and innocent, but it has the spirit of another decade. It smells like a rebellious older sister with curly blonde hair and a motorcycle, diving into 90s disco videos. It smells like a university student from Stranger Things hanging out on the outskirts of Madrid. It smells like an Alaska and Nacha Pop cassette tape, or straightening hair with your mom’s iron. Today, it doesn’t feel particularly youthful or sexy, but it’s interesting and has personality.
It’s disgusting. The funny thing is, every violet perfume I’ve tried so far has made me hate them.
I bought it out of curiosity and because of the good price. The moment I smelled it, I got a weird déjà vu. To me, it’s a pleasant vintage floral-fruit scent—a rare mix of flowers and fruits that I like. I detect peach, apricot, rose, violet, and vanilla. It feels very 90s, youthful, and not mature. It’s fresh, casual, sparkling, soft, and slightly powdery. It works as a wildcard for me, transporting me back to the 90s. I understand why many people hate it; it smells rich? No, it smells weird, different, and uncommon, but I like it and see myself wearing it daily for casual outings. The bottle is pretty and makes a nice decoration. No regrets.
Peach skin with little flowers and lots of light. It reminds me of a feminine Acqua di Giò—fresh, light, with that velvety aura that smiles. A youthful classic, fruity, and wearable forever. It speaks the same hydrating fruity language as Tommy or 90s teen formulas. What joy that Versace keeps releasing it; for a young person still growing, it’s a sure win.
It arrived late to my collection, but I absolutely love it. Cheerful, fresh, and fruity/floral with a 90s vibe that feels modern. Opens with sweet peach, then shy rose and powdery violet (reminds me of Halloween). I detect the aquatic waterlily, which I adore. Excellent longevity for an EDT. It shares that clean, soapy air of Tommy or CK One. Don’t buy it blindly if you hate powdery scents. Perfect for spring/summer: vintage yet modern and versatile.
Unisex and zero sweetness; it feels fresher and powdery rather than fruity. I’ll be gifting it because it doesn’t suit my taste.
I wore this as a little girl, inherited from my mom. When I tried it at an airport, I realized it doesn’t smell like little roses like I remembered. It opens with blackcurrant and settles into subtle peach and water lily. It’s light, feminine, and transports me back to the 90s, but maybe not for a young girl today. Linear, lasts 7 hours. Functional for daily wear: pleasant, but not original.
My first scent in high school, a gift from my mom. Great for Mediterranean heat, but it doesn’t work for me: the sandalwood ruins the peach and floral symphony once the spicy note hits, making me dizzy. Good entry-level pick for the price, though it’s too niche for my taste.
