Hamdani… first off, it’s a serious, dark, and mysterious aroma. It smells strong and is something I hadn’t smelled before. The incense and resin are very noticeable, giving it a balsamic and powdery touch. This perfume is quite strange. I know little about the Arabian Breed line, only Hamdani and Nisean, both elegant and dark, but I feel Hamdani is more mysterious and dry. DO NOT BUY BLIND if you’re not a fan of powerful scents like Midnight Oud, Interlude, Oud Abyad, and those.
This perfume threw me off at first. It was a blind buy, and I had no idea what to expect, nor could I imagine how different its scent would be based on the composition. The opening is a hit of resins, leather, and incense. To give you an idea, at first it smells very similar to Amouage Interlude, and with that woodier part, it reminds me of Valentino Noir Absolu Oud Essence; it’s a blend very close to both. It has personality, mystery, and strength. Now that I wear it, I’m starting to understand and appreciate it: it’s not sweet, citrusy, or spicy; it’s pure resin, leather, and wood. Recommended for those over 30, usable daily. At first, it has a marked trail and good projection, but after two hours, it settles into a personal bubble that transports you to an exotic Middle East, like galloping through an oasis in the desert. In summary: interesting, elegant, and classy, perfect for formal and semi-formal looks. Scent 8.5/10, Trail 8.5/10, Projection 8/10, Longevity 8.5/10.
A peculiar scent, neither great nor repulsive, it’s one of those that you earn over time. Dark, mysterious, and sober, it’s loaded with resins, incense, soft oud, clove, and above all, leather. Imagine it like this: the smell of a freshly bathed horse with veterinary soap; wet leather, earth, and spices right out of the bottle, which becomes gentler as it dries and lets the tobacco, resins, and a touch of sweet honey breathe through, at which point it becomes wearable. Verdict: never buy blind, and this proves it. It’s not versatile for me, but it fits perfectly with a hyper-masculine style, like a biker in a leather jacket or a sharp guy in a black suit. It could work for anyone. I love smelling it on the strips or on my wrist out of habit; even though I wouldn’t wear it, I like to keep smelling it. It reminds me of Amouage’s Figment Man, a work of art meant to be admired from afar, perhaps.
