It caught me off guard; I didn’t expect that repetitive rose and oud blend that’s all over YouTube, but previous reviews hit the nail on the spot. It’s a ‘unbalanced’ combo where rose dominates; the synthetic oud doesn’t smell animalic or leathery, it’s just there for depth without stealing the show. It’s an exquisite, mature unisex rose—picture an almost black pomegranate, sweet yet tart with a fresh twist. Cumin isn’t noticeable at all; nothing dirty or sweaty, just clean and elegant. Papyrus gives it a slight masculine edge. It reminds me of Equivoque, not because of the notes (one floral, one woody) but because of that elegant, dark, and sweet vibe, though unfortunately less ‘rebellious’ than I thought. Projection and longevity were more reasonable than expected.
One of the richest rose and oud perfumes out there. The rose has a delicious sweetness and the oud is deep, but with zero animalic notes.
A very fine and elegant oriental fragrance with that classic velvety rose and oud blend. It’s not original, but it adds a red wine-like depth that makes it unique. Ideal for elegant occasions in cold weather, totally unisex. Its only flaw, aside from the exorbitant price, is that the projection is discreet, so there are more recommendable options. Still, a great perfume in the end.
A strong, bold, and sexy fragrance—a dark, elegant Grasse rose infusion for both genders. The oud is well-balanced with huge longevity. The power of the scent is incredible due to the quality of the notes and the depth the cumin adds, becoming mysterious with the papyrus. The price is worth every drop for the exquisite quality, though in my opinion it’s hard to get your hands on due to the cost, the need to prepare your nose for its strength, and its exclusivity. The cap with magnetic plates denotes luxury; I love the detail combined with the bottle, though I’d love a simpler version to lower the cost and make it more accessible. The collection is varied and interesting; it feels like it was curated with care.
