  • I loved it. It’s green, marine, fruity, and ambered. Super original, versatile, and beautiful. Longevity and projection are good; it lasts about 8 hours on my skin. I bought a 10 ml decant, and when it runs out, I’ll get the big bottle.

  • It gives me mixed feelings, a relationship halfway between love and hate. I was looking for a discounted White Flower Posy at Zara and tried others. After spraying Amber & Fig Cashmere, I decided not to buy it. But smelling it on my wrist all afternoon, something special and addictive made me return. I don’t like the opening much; it’s potent and citrusy. In dry down, it’s green and salty, due to the fig leaf and ambroxan blend, very interesting. It has a woody base that gives it body. It’s totally unisex. Moderate-to-notable sillage and lasts 10-12 hours on my skin. It’s very original for summer with magnificent performance, especially at the current price (15.99€ for 90 ml), but it’s worth trying before buying. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value 9/10, Versatility 6.5/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? I don’t know; I have no idea how our relationship will evolve.

  • The Amancio I love. The dupe that trusts Jo Malone to copy it perfectly. I adore it. It was a love story: Amber & Fig is an imperfect but worthy copy of Hermès’ Eau des Merveilles, and slightly less so of its sister, Bleue. There’s that elegant DNA from the 90s, woody and nostalgic, like the scent of shavings when sharpening a pencil. A quiet, school-like winter world; Zara made it more everyday and timeless, while Merveilles takes me straight to Christmas. It’s a sad perfume in a good way; I love how it dresses up and the gravity it brings, without being austere or fully festive: it’s a charming daily scent. I remember smelling it at the counter of a Zara, and amidst the sales assistants’ unkind glances, love blossomed. I didn’t buy it right away, but the next day I was back for a bottle. Good purchase. Lasts about half an hour, leaning towards discreet, needs reapplication.

Reminds me of those Avon brochures from the 90s where you rubbed the magazine on your wrist and everything smelled the same; it smells just like that. Lasts about 4 hours, it’s fresh, unisex, and addictive. While it doesn’t have a strong sillage, you’ll find yourself smelling your own skin over and over again.
