Gucci Guilty Elixir has been my favorite since it launched, but I tried this Silver Man by Zara out of curiosity and regretted spending so much on the original. It’s almost identical, but this Zara version lasts longer, so spending money on Gucci doesn’t make sense.
Ever since I started using Gucci Guilty Elixir, it’s been my go-to and favorite. But I tried Zara’s Silver Man just to see if it was the same, and I was blown away. It performs just as well as the Gucci version, smells almost identical, yet lasts longer. In my opinion, spending that much on the original when this option exists is just throwing money away.
An old fragrance, but perfect for feeling personal and cozy at home after a tough day. Simple, versatile, works for day and night. Longevity: 7, Sillage: 5, Projection: 5, Price: 10.
Out of all Zara scents, this is one of the best. It’s spicy, and the pepper note really stands out. As for the similarity to Gucci Guilty, I haven’t heard it myself, but I’ve read they are very close. The longevity is poor, barely lasting three hours, and the sillage isn’t very noticeable. But for around $12, you can’t ask for more. If you want to try something spicy and peppery, Silver Man is a great option.

I liked it. It has that Gucci Guilty vibe I know and adore, and Silver Man has it too. Plus, it lasts much longer than Guilty. The projection is good for the first two hours, then it settles to about 3.5 hours close to the skin. The original Gucci lasts me barely two hours, while this Zara alternative is better. It smells good, people like it, and those who know Gucci will associate it with that scent. Longevity: 8, Sillage: 6, Projection: 8, Price: 10. Final rating: 8. I find it super versatile for the office or semi-formal situations.
The longevity feels a bit weak, though I feel it improves with every use. The projection is moderate, but I loved the aroma so much that it put Gucci Guilty on my radar—I don’t know it myself, but they say it’s the inspiration for this Zara Silver Man.
I bought it in a pack with Zara Gold, which I liked and find good, but Silver smells almost imperceptible. There’s no scent left after less than an hour, and the sillage is very weak.
