An off-the-radar perfume with an explosive opening of crystal-clear, high-quality cardamomo. It’s like going to an Indian restaurant and bathing in something balsamic and resinous that accompanies that aromatic note that dominates. The cardamomo plays a similar role to Dzongkha, but by different routes. Upon drying, it has a woody and chocolatey touch with a pleasant, refreshing trail, likely due to the pine. A great surprise that deserves more recognition.
Top-tier Rituals product, wears beautifully, and doesn’t smell as artificial as other options. As it dries, despite what the notes say, it’s identical to Bleu de Chanel, but in my opinion, it has two advantages: it lasts longer (something easy to achieve) and projects better.
An off-the-radar perfume with an apothecary-level opening and a crystal-clear, high-quality cardamomo. It’s like being transported to an Indian restaurant and bathing in a balsamic, slightly resinous soak that accompanies that very aromatic note dominating the composition. The cardamomo plays a role similar to Dzongkha, but down very different paths. The dry down has a tiny woody, slightly chocolatey twist with a pleasant, lightly refreshing/vigorizing trail (probably thanks to the pine). Repeat: a great surprise from a perfume that deserves far more recognition than it gets.
A solid Rituals purchase, wears effortlessly, and isn’t as synthetic as other alternatives. In its dry down, despite what the notes indicate, it smells just like Bleu de Chanel, but in my judgment, it has two advantages: better longevity (something simple) and improved projection.
This is my second Rituals perfume. My first, Nuit d’Azar, had brutal performance and an out-of-this-world scent. I have no idea what happened with this one—I feel zero projection… just a rich aroma right on the skin that fades in minutes. I’m frustrated and can’t understand why it didn’t work like the first one… That said, the scent is rich, but it doesn’t last, not even with my nose pressed against my skin. Cheers!
