  • I’m always honest in my reviews. This smells great, but it has a ‘green’ edge and a slightly masculine vibe that just isn’t for me.

  • 100% unisex. The vetiver and those green, powdery woody notes from the iris are fantastic, balanced perfectly by the vanilla. Just a heads-up: it plays differently on men’s and women’s skin. On women, the green woodiness shines through; on men, the powdery iris and sandalwood take the lead.

It feels elegant at first sniff, then shifts into something tremendously masculine and unisex. Delicious.

At first sniff, it feels elegant, but after a while, it becomes tremendously masculine and unisex. Delicious.

  • I bought it for my boyfriend. It’s not exactly soft enough for his taste since he likes intense citrus (pity, because smelling this on a man would be sexy for me…). I’ll try to get him to wear it. On my skin, it smells like a men’s perfume, and I like that. On my clothes, it’s softer and more delicate, still smelling like a men’s perfume, and I like that too. Summary: I bought it for myself.

  • For my boyfriend: it’s not that it’s too soft for his taste; he prefers intense citrus. (What a pity, because smelling this scent on a man would make me feel sexy, just the two of us…) I’ll give it a try to see if it works. On my skin, it smells like a men’s perfume, what’s wrong? I love it. On my clothes, it smells softer and more delicate, like a men’s perfume, what’s wrong? I love it. Summary: I bought it for him.

  • This scent kicked off my transition from feminine perfumes to unisex (CK ONE doesn’t count!) and then into masculine fragrances. At first, it threw me off; I associated it with my husband and couldn’t imagine wearing it myself. But I learned that certain aromas need time to adapt before you truly understand them. Rarely is there love at first sniff; sometimes you have to work on them. Why did it feel so strange? The opening is hyper-masculine, fougère-style, with hyper-refreshing lavender and mint, plus a spicy kick of nutmeg that hits hard on my skin right from the start (it made me feel like I was floating). In the heart, the scent turns sweet, warm, and subtly floral. The rose and iris combo is masterful; the iris transforms it into a unisex masterpiece with a powdery touch that isn’t overwhelming. That’s when I fell in love. As it dries down, it leans slightly feminine but works for everyone: the sweet, creamy tonka bean and vanilla emerge alongside the woods, creating an addictive aroma. The vetiver adds an earthy note, while the spices (mainly nutmeg) make it a slightly spiced woody oriental. On my skin, it amplifies the woods and nutmeg, staying close and warm for hours. Projection isn’t huge—it’s more of a skin scent—but the longevity is incredible, easily lasting over 8 hours. Weather matters a lot: Living shines in humid, cool days, expressing itself beautifully. It’s super versatile, perfect for any season and gender without issues. Just leave the prejudices at the door. Scents have no gender; everyone is free to wear what brings them satisfaction. Perfumes are an endless generator of endorphins.

  • A unisex scent that’s too soft and reminiscent of Dior Homme. It’s pleasant but goes unnoticed, neither great nor terrible. Ideal for wearing before bed.

  • Smells like Dior Homme, unisex, and very soft. It’s pleasant but subtle, nothing more or less, ideal for wearing before going to bed.

Lalique never leaves me indifferent. It’s spectacular and very much in the line of Dior Homme 2005. What sets it apart is a minty top note that lasts for the first hour; the rest is very similar. Totally unisex with standout performance.
