  1. IllumiFragance

Smells like lemon and camphor at first—clean and slightly spicy—but then shifts to a soda-like scent that I’m not sure is good or bad. It’s very delicate, almost feminine, and overall, a big ‘meh’.

  2. Trismegisto

Starts citrusy but fades quickly, leaving nutmeg and pepper. For my nose, it’s a letdown. I know everyone smells differently, and I have a broad range, but this just doesn’t convince me. The dry-down is weird due to the tamarind note, which is rare, but it’s a shame it lasts so little, even on clothes. I smell the moss immediately, and it ends up being just nutmeg and pepper, with projection around 40 cm. I don’t detect any citrus freshness after two minutes. It’s a clean, dry spice scent, safe for any occasion and not overpowering, but noticeable if you get close. If you’re looking for something aromatic, spicy, and discreet, White is cheap. I wouldn’t recommend it for heat because the pepper doesn’t feel refreshing, but it works well for a mild evening. I wouldn’t buy it again and might consider gifting it. Does it have quality? I think its base is too limited for that.

Citrusy and masculine without leaning into sporty vibes, ideal as a signature or daily scent. I loved it; it reminds me of Issey Miyake but younger and less mature. The base has a sweet touch, maybe from the cardamom. For the price, an excellent buy; I got it for about $15 in a 125 ml bottle. I’d only not recommend it if you don’t like citrus.

  4. A high-quality intimate men’s fragrance. It’s a pleasant embrace with a musk reminiscent of Nagel (though not as prominent as Narciso), mixed with earthy woods and a pinch of soft pepper, all topped off with a citrus note. Nothing stands out; everything is blended and calm, like a walk through the forest.

A hidden gem in perfumery. Alongside Lanvin L’Homme, it’s possibly one of the best non-mass-market perfumes with an incredible quality-to-price ratio, perfect for spring and summer. Spicy opening and very masculine that gradually gives way to something floral, semi-sweet/acidic (maybe the tamarind), while keeping the citrus alive. It denotes absurd quality for the price and is very original. Simply put, I adored it.

  6. I bought it blindly based on good past experiences with Lalique, and honestly, I’m a bit regretting it now. I don’t like the opening scent, which smells heavily like a bathroom air freshener. Just for that, it turns me off. It’s true that as it dries down, it leaves a pleasant scent like bar soap, but it projects almost nothing and doesn’t last. Cool Water seems like a better choice.

  7. Very much in the John Varvatos Artisan Pure line. They share that initial green citrus note, with JV leaning more into the citrus and this Lalique focusing on the green aspect—that lemon leaf note, that bitter citrus smell you get when crushing a lemon or orange leaf. Like most fragrances in white bottles, it conveys cleanliness. The notes of white pepper, violet, musk, and cedar come together to create that clean feeling, like detergent or dry cleaning. Good for the office, daily wear, handles heat well. Vacations, pools, beaches… Even if they don’t smell exactly the same, owning both is redundant.

It gives me the cleanest, most polished sensation of all. A luminous citrus, nothing aggressive, like unripe green lemon with a touch of musk and resin. As it dries, the woods appear subtly and the citrus transforms into about 50% white flowers like jasmine. I detect an identical accord to Lalique Pour Homme (citrus + woods). It’s a relaxing scent, ideal for spring or summer. The quality is impeccable, typical of Lalique. It sounds discreet, which is its great asset for not overwhelming in the heat, and it’s almost impossible for anyone to dislike it. I recommend it blindly if it’s under €30 for 125ml.

After trying it several times, I think it’s the definitive one to smell ‘clean’. The citrus top lasts only a few minutes before introducing us into a green woody base; it’s a good perfume when everything smells unified. The key is the sandalwood (or whatever I think it is), that note that elevates the perfume, gives it presence, masculinity, and that expensive touch. Women use Narciso Rodriguez to smell clean; we have Lalique White, since others gave me a metrosexual vibe. Unlike classic fougères that smell like a barbershop but ‘dirty’, this stays flat but just enough to feel masculine, very well played. Another candidate could be Beau du Jour by Tom Ford. I’m glad to see the perfumer is Christine Nagel, whose creations I usually gravitate toward, especially the ones from Hermès.

Lalique White: the purity of freshness, herbal and citrusy, entangling with the bark of a leafy tree. It’s a truly clean, modern, and crystal-clear scent. The herbal note dominates, but it’s not weed; it’s like a pine surrounded by plants and shadows, giving comfort and security. You appreciate each note separately: the fresh forest, tropical citrus, marine notes like a breeze, and wet woods that add seriousness. Wonderful, an olfactory pleasure. I wish it projected more, but it delivers and doesn’t disappoint. For summer and spring, though I use it in cool evenings and nights; it’s very versatile. Scent: 10. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: 7 hours. Recommended.

I bought it in a moment of weakness because it was on sale (I always feel guilty later). Sparkling green citrus; at first, it reminds me of Cacharel Pour Homme. As it dries, the clean woody touch comes out. It smells fresh, natural, and is very appropriate as a gift, unless you hate citrus. It’s versatile for any occasion. Its downside is that it doesn’t turn heads (it can remind you of other fresh scents) and its performance is about three hours on my skin. I’ll save it for when temperatures rise in spring to see if it improves with the heat (some reviews say it does). In summary, it’s delicious for me, who adores citrus, and although it doesn’t last long, I can’t complain much since it cost me about €20 for 125ml.

  12. I’m not saying it’s exactly the same, but it reminds me quite a bit of the discontinued Givenchy Gentleman Cologne. I have both and just put one on each arm; they seem more alike as they dry down.

  13. svazquez7

I love it, but it’s very weak in projection and longevity. It gives me a hint of Eau Sauvage but with a slight spice. I would never buy it at retail price, but rather as cheap as possible. Maximum $20 for the 125ml.

Simply a delicious scent, I see it more for warm climates and daytime. Longevity and projection aren’t the best, but for the price and the aroma, it’s worth every penny. 8 out of 10.

Well, what can I say, it smells good, you can tell the quality, like everything from Lalique. It’s versatile, smells like the bitter leaf of a lemon mixed with citrus and a bit of tamarind in the opening. As it dries, pepper, cardamom, musk, and a vague woody note take presence; I can’t distinguish the other notes. Its trail is weak on my skin and it doesn’t last me more than 4 hours, I think it’s the shortest-lasting one from the brand. It reminds me a lot of Galloway by Parfums de Marly, which I believe PDM was inspired by this Lalique, and then Lalique released White in Black inspired by Layton from PDM, something fun. The difference with Galloway is the longevity and the extreme quality of PDM, but Lalique has a very accessible price. It combines casual and formal well, looks better during the day, summer, and spring, though it doesn’t clash in hot nights or autumn/winter. Longevity 3/10, Sillage 2/10, Scent 8/10, Quality 9/10, Versatility 9/10, Price 10/10.

  16. Among my summer swaps, I received a sample of this perfume for men, but I decided to try it anyway, since the spray smelled citrusy enough not to seem excessively macho. White opens with that astringent citrus smell attributed to toilet cleaners, but fortunately, it calms down quickly and changes to a refreshing scent with a spicy touch of lime leaves. As time passes, it becomes more spiced and slightly woody, with a sweet syrupy touch I attribute to tamarind. I found it to be a very solar unisex scent, perfect to use as a refreshing cologne on scorching hot days, with soft projection and longevity of about 4 hours at 30ºC. Like all the Laliques I’ve tried, great quality/price ratio. Pleasant: 7/10, Interesting: 7/10, Versatile: 6/10, Original: 7/10.

  17. At first, the bitter opening note of cutting weeds made me recoil, but over time I embraced it. That initial acidity transforms into a blend of cardamom, cedar, and musk. The curious thing is that every time I smell it, it’s different. Perfect for mild or hot days, whether for a formal event or something more relaxed.

In my opinion, the quality of the Lalique fragrances I’ve tried is excellent. In White, it’s no different: we have a fresh scent that moves away from the mainstream, with a combination of aromas that reminds me a lot of the smell of pencils. For me, this makes it ideal when I want to relax at home or before bed, although it works superlatively for extreme heat, just as it does for the office. One of my favorites for summer.

Wearing this fragrance is a pure experience. Unlike other citrus scents, the tamarind here doesn’t give acidity, but rather a sparkling, fun, and bold touch. It’s youthful, yet that adds a sense of cleanliness and neatness. Who said white can’t be bold? If you want to smell different this summer, this is the option.

Lalique White comes in a flawless, functional white bottle, as beautiful as the brand itself. Lalique maintains quality and honesty without falling into cheap trends. This perfume isn’t easy; it doesn’t try to be likable. We had to try it several times because it’s fickle and shifts families. Like people, sometimes we judge too quickly without understanding their complexity. It starts citrusy (tamarind, lemon, bergamot, elemi), then moves to indolic florals that gave me a start, but they’re not violets—something subtler like lily of the valley or jasmine. The citrus and floral notes sway like a swing. I don’t detect strong spices, just a slight spicy touch. Over time, it becomes sweet, with amber, musk, cedar, and a juicy vetiver. It’s balanced, elegant, and unisex. You just need patience and not to judge it at first glance.

It’s a clean, fresh, and pleasant aroma with medium longevity and projection. It’s delicate; I think it suits women well too. It opens with pepper and lemon; with more power, it would be spectacular. It’s enchanting for daily use and perfect for summer. It’s an interesting olfactory work. Many fragrances I like are weak in longevity. Has anyone tried the 01 booster molecule? I’d love to know if it works to bring life to more timid fragrances.

Lalique White is very singular, with a hysterical and elusive imprint. It’s erratic, mocking the wearer by showing or hiding itself arbitrarily. The fixation is poor, making it hard to see its evolution. It’s rich, elegant, and sophisticated, but quite generic and doesn’t stand out in fixation or aroma. It reminds me of Starwalker by Montblanc, Versace Eau Fraiche, and especially Chanel Allure Sport, sharing citrus, elemi, amber, musk, cedar, and pepper. The opening is rich and fresh, but I didn’t notice the oriental notes in the dry down. Scent: opening 7.5, then 7/10. Sillage 2/10. Longevity 3/10. Versatility 9/10.

At first, I sensed lemon and petit grain, perhaps lime leaves, soft bergamot, and the elemi resin that gives it sweetness. I couldn’t locate the tamarind. At five hours, I noticed white pepper and nutmeg. At seven, the musk and a soft cedar. At ten came the curious part: the cardamom, which gives a slightly dirty impression with the soft cedar. It’s clearly a summer or spring scent, for daytime use. It doesn’t have that sparkling citrus opening of others; its intensity fades and resurges. The strange thing is that I sensed the cardamom after the musk and cedar. It’s a dangerous note; it borders on body odor. The sillage is odd: moderate leaning towards weak, but it reappears. It lasted over 12 hours, but I used 1.5 or 2 ml, so if the price allows, it’s worth over-applying. It’s atypical and leaves me disoriented to recommend it. Better for personal enjoyment, taking care that the cardamom doesn’t express too strongly on your skin.

Greetings, drakecito. Haha, I meant pheromones; due to the typing speed, it came out wrong, I was at work. On the skin, it’s said that darker skin is thicker than lighter skin, which makes fragrances react differently. The pH explains itself. For example, with Guerlain L’Homme Eau de Bois, when the cap was launched it was transparent plastic, then they changed it to wood because it preserves the Indian vetiver better, an abundant note there. Maybe I’m hallucinating, but I think things like the cap can alter the aroma a bit. I’m not offending anyone; it’s my humble opinion.

  25. alberto pei

Greetings. Srs, don’t argue so much over something absurd. The batch or date has nothing to do with it; the formula is always the same. What does affect the aroma is humidity, the climate (warm, dry, cold), the altitude, whether you use it day or night, the skin type (darker, lighter), and the pH. Even the bottle cap matters. For example, with Guerlain L’Homme Eau de Bois, they changed the cap from plastic to wood to preserve the vetiver better. I just clarify that it’s not an absolute truth; it’s my opinion. This fragrance is very rich, fresh, and citrusy; I liked it from the first moment. Ideal for people 25 and up, though everyone decides regardless of age. Quick anecdote: the girl who showed it to me says she has a strong hormonal load; I don’t know if it’s true, but it’s loved by ladies anyway.

  26. @Alfredo Hernandez, you yourself have given your answer: most likely it suits you because you’re new to this. Personally, I can’t comment on this particular one because I haven’t tried it yet, but I agree with @gelo999: regardless of our tastes and budgets, there are fragrances that are simply bad, and it’s not correct to mislead those who don’t know them by saying they’re good, since that influences the moment of choosing or buying them.

  27. alfredo hernandez

Greetings. I don’t get why this fragrance generates so much passion and divided opinions; there must be a logical reason. For me, it’s excellent quality; alongside Loewe 7 Natural, it’s one of the best citrus scents I’ve tried. I’m a beginner in this, so there are surely better ones out there, but I’m just starting to explore. I detect tamarind, citrus notes, and cedar at the end; it’s very good. I would buy it again and hope I don’t get the poor quality that disappointed others; I don’t think there’s any reason to lie about a product like this. By the way, it didn’t cost me $30, but $75 for the small bottle. I appreciate the comments and learn a bit more from everyone. Cheers.
