  Like Eisenberg Jose: an alcoholic, fresh, dry, and slightly sharp opening with citrus. The coffee is way in the background, almost imperceptible—probably due to my recent rhinitis. Then comes the amber and lavender with a touch of vanilla. It takes on a powdery nuance and a flash of wood appears. It’s sweeter than bitter, but not cloying, thanks to the tonka. It briefly and casually reminds me of J’S Exte. It’s not invasive and doesn’t seem to have much projection. Designer-quality fragrance in the mid-to-high segment. It’s versatile, but it works better for fresh or cold weather. I’ve worn it for a short time, so I can’t say much more without making things up. Edit: Now I’m noticing a faint jasmine note.

  With coffee, lavender, and citrus making a comeback, I’m reclaiming this 24-year-old fragrance. While it has a vintage vibe and lacks the sweetness of golden elixirs, it fits perfectly today. One of the best lavenders I’ve heard, featuring a coffee note bathed in vanilla that is pure delight. Balanced, mature, elegant, and top-tier quality. It brings me childhood memories: lemons in the kitchen, freshly brewed coffee, and lavender in the closets with clean clothes. It’s horribly charming.
