They reformulated it, and it’s not worth it anymore.
I bought it a week ago and haven’t worn it much because I have Invictus Victory Elixir, and they smell so similar that I stopped exploring it. I’ll start using it more, and when I wear it as usual, I’ll write more, but I can say that the longevity is on par with the Invictus I mentioned.
Another one of my fetishes, the true neck-breaker, the longevity is a monster.
Pleasant, sparkling, and cloyingly sweet, but it says nothing. Perhaps the fragrance that least impacted me from Quentin Bisch. Age range: 13 to 30.
Oh, Le Beau Le Parfum… my first designer fragrance, my big hope, my biggest disappointment. It starts like a fairy tale: thirty minutes of paradise, creamy coconut with a pineapple spark, sweet and addictive. I thought, ‘Perfect, this is my signature scent.’ How naive. Then the coconut and pineapple take an Uber and leave me. The iris and tonka bean take over and transform me into my grandma’s vanity. Yes, I smell like old makeup and baby powder. People tell me, ‘Hey, you smell like an old lady.’ Nothing worse. The mass market gave it the final blow; now I smell it in three or four bars. It lost its charm. I have thirty ml staring at me like a reminder of a failed relationship. I won’t finish it. What’s the point of smelling incredible for half an hour if you then smell like a grandma’s purse? A pity. It had potential, but on my skin, it was a disaster. Please, try it before buying.
Honestly, it smells good, but after a week of wearing it, it’s nothing special. It’s nice, but I expected more given the social media hype; it doesn’t disappoint, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. I was excited about the iris opening, which I love, but I don’t really get it. It’s just a creamy coconut. I’d only recommend it if you don’t already own another Le Beau, since they’re essentially the same. 8/10
Top-tier perfume, brutal projection, but watch out: in extreme heat it gets a bit heavy.
Beast mode. It’s the third Jean Paul Gaultier I own, but it’s everywhere and really noticeable.
Actually, bad mix. I love iris, but here it clashes badly with the rest. It’s dominated by a dry coconut and amber that I definitely don’t end up liking. Immediate buy and resell.
Smells amazing. It’s my second perfume and the one that truly hooked me. At first, you can detect ginger and cedar; though my skin chemistry doesn’t let me smell the iris and pineapple as much, once it dries down, it turns into that sweet, creamy coconut with amber and sandalwood giving it depth. The longevity is insane—it lasted from 8:46 AM until 10-11 AM on my skin, and by 9:11 PM it was still strong where I applied it. A total game-changer. I mix it with my Axe coconut deodorant and love it. If you like sweet, coconut scents, buy it, but if not, it might not be for you. I wouldn’t wear it in extreme heat because it can be overwhelming or feel too closed in on public transport or in the office; for me, it’s ideal in mild weather, neither too cold nor too sweltering.
Good perfume, but it’s hard to find occasions to wear it, maybe at a night event that isn’t too hot. Ideal for a date. On skin, the mix of coconut and pineapple stands out a lot, but I don’t smell it as woody; rather, it’s more spicy. Personally, I don’t like pineapples in perfumes like Aventus, but this one is much sweeter, creamier, pleasant, and well-made. Good longevity, about 7 hours on skin, and I get compliments. It’s quite youthful, for ages 20 to 30. The presentation is gorgeous, excellent, just like the entire JPG line; the bottle is flawless and sophisticated. I don’t recommend it for daily wear or winter, but it’s ideal for temperate climates (not too hot or cold), 100% for night because it’s a bit sweet.
I don’t know if they reformulated the entire Le Male line, but every single one of them gives me a super synthetic, low-quality smell. Like cheap perfumes in beautiful, expensive bottles. I didn’t smell any coconut, pineapple, or iris at all, and for an EDP, it has a near-EDT level of alcohol hit. A letdown, I switched to a Valentino, which, although they have simple scents, feel much higher quality.
Previously, I’d heard about this perfume from others, even tried it on skin in department stores and loved it, it fascinated me. But when I bought it, I don’t know if it was a reformulation or a batch change, it doesn’t last AT ALL. I put on a moderate amount of sprays and half an hour later, there’s nothing, not even close to the skin. I thought it was olfactory fatigue, but even other people couldn’t smell it when I asked. Maybe it’s my pH, I want to believe, because it’s a perfume with an exquisite scent, but it doesn’t last on my skin at all.
It doesn’t last at all, no one can even smell it. I tried my friend’s bottle and it’s not the same… very disappointed.
Total fragrance bomb, easily one of my top 5. I feel bad for people buying the new batches and saying they don’t perform at all. Mine is from 2021, so it must be one of the good ones. The scent is exquisite: a tropical coconut that becomes richer as it dries. The longevity is insane on my skin; I wore it yesterday and I can still smell it. More than 24 hours, I swear I’m not lying; I don’t know another that lasts this long. I’ve tried Bharara King, Arabian Tonka, Atlas, and all those others that claim 12 hours, but Le Beau is in a league of its own. The sillage lasts a good 3 hours moderately, decaying very slowly, and right up against the skin, it’s an eternity. One note: I bought it in 2023 and couldn’t find it anywhere in Argentina. I searched every day until a pharmacy finally brought three in stock at a good price. I didn’t hesitate for a second; when I finished the purchase and updated the page, they were already gone. I was incredibly lucky.
Honestly, I bought it because of the reviews and the hype, but I was hugely disappointed. First, the performance on my skin and this batch is terrible. Everyone claims great projection and longevity, but it’s nowhere near that. As soon as I apply it, I get a single, powerful, synthetic wood note, and that’s about it. It lasts about 30 minutes on skin and max 5 hours on clothes. I don’t get why everyone paints it as ultra-powerful, cloying, and well-projected when the performance is abysmal. Regarding the listed notes, personally I only smell the wood, and a hint of it in the dry-down, but the coconut is almost non-existent, like in a body cream. The product is original, but at least in the batch I got, it’s a huge letdown.
I have the 2025 batch and I don’t get why people say it doesn’t last. In my experience, it lasts about 12 hours on skin and projects strongly for the first 3. It’s a scent you won’t find in other perfumes; if you want to smell good, like a man, and enjoy coconut and dense tropical fragrances, this is the one for you. Update: it has lasted up to 15 or 16 hours right up against my skin.
The only good thing I feel is its opening; the dry-down doesn’t provoke anything for me, and overall it’s a disappointment. It lasts decently on clothes, a total barbershop perfume; I’ll never understand the hype for this line…
I absolutely love Jean Paul Gaultier perfumes; this one feels more tropical and modern, with a sweetness that’s perfectly integrated. It has medium-to-high projection and very solid longevity, easily over 8 hours on my skin. It usually draws compliments, which is obvious, but without being annoying. I find it modern, seductive, and sweet, with a nocturnal elegance, though if dosed well, it works during the day too. It feels more mature and refined than the original Le Beau, less youthful and cleaner, perhaps due to the iris. In my opinion, it works great in relaxed settings, elegant outings, or dates. For work in enclosed spaces, it might be too much for sensitive noses, so it’s better to moderate the amount or save it for other moments.
Le Beau Le Parfum is a very sweet and heavy fragrance, with beastly projection and longevity, not recommended for heat or summer. This, although it seems like a beach perfume with that touch of coconut and pineapple, is cloying and quite overwhelming. Too much hype; the truth is it’s a good perfume but quite overdone, party scent, and smells a lot like Le Beau. In the end, I sold it; I have no bad memories and even received quite a few compliments, maybe I’ll buy it again someday. Scent: 8.5/10, Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 9/10, Compliments: 9/10, Versatility: 4/10, Overall: 8.
I can say this is my signature scent, although I don’t wear it much because I feel it’s not for every occasion. It works in all climates, but it really shines in spring and summer. When I wear it, I feel sophisticated and pleasant thanks to the fruity blend, iris, and a spicy touch. Among the Le Beau collection, it’s definitely the best of them all. Scent: 9, Sillage: 9, Versatility: 8, Occasions: dates, dinners, parties, Price: 9, Blind Buy: 9.
Lasts quite a bit on skin, but it’s even more noticeable on clothes. It opens with a sweet, fresh, juicy pineapple that gives an instant energy boost. Then it transitions into a creamy, soft, and enveloping coconut. Finally, it settles into a warm base of wood, tonka bean, and amber—very seductive and elegant. I haven’t detected any extra notes. The projection is strong and lasts 8 to 9 hours on skin, making it ideal for night or mild spring and summer days. I see it as a masculine fragrance with character, even a bit mischievous, perfect for making an impression. What really strikes me is that creamy coconut, though the longevity is a bit shorter than in previous versions of the line. It’s gotten me tons of compliments, and I recommend it to guys aged 16 to 28 looking for something nocturnal and attractive.
It’s summer and time lacks urgency; there’s no rush to wake up. Breakfast awaits on the terrace with the lethargy of 10 AM: freshly cut pineapple slices and the milky pulp of coconut, served under the lullaby of the sea and the distant cry of gulls. Suddenly, a slap wakes the skin of an exquisite body; it’s the lover, not the wife. The air still vibrates with the echo of a night of pleasure, charged with the magnetism of the forbidden. It’s a body that just came out of the shower, where love was made under cold water to welcome the sun, but retains in its pores the memory of desire. Breakfast becomes a game of double entendres: eating the fruit is, in reality, devouring each other. They walk along the shore, letting the salty water lap at their feet. Their bare hands intertwine, without rings, hiding the sin in broad daylight. Lunch arrives with the freshness of vegetables and a thick juice, crowned by a fruit salad bathed in honey that leaves lips sticky. Under the shade of coconut trees, the heat becomes dense, almost solid. The lovers keep a complicit silence; the heat doesn’t invite an embrace, but an electric closeness, a silent stalking while they wait for the cool of night to fall. At sunset, music invades the beach. A fire is lit with driftwood, logs the sea dragged from who knows where. With the appearance of the first star, the perfume’s soul explodes: a sweet, acidic wood recognizable from afar. A suddenly dark breeze forces the lover to seek refuge in her chest; the heat no longer bothers, it’s now the fuel for the encounter. Deep kisses, hands reclaiming their forbidden places under the cover of darkness. They move away from the music and light, sinking into the sand hidden by a pale moon. There, they make love slowly, while the smoke of salt-impregnated wood clings to their white clothes. It’s a scent that anticipates to them, with every exhalation, that this sin inevitably leads to hell. To the sweet hell.
Le Beau Le Parfum is essentially one of the most fruity and easy-to-please fragrances that exist, one of the safest buys I know. I’m not a fan of Jean Paul Gaultier or this perfume in general, but I can admit it’s pretty good; the notes of coconut, pineapple, and tonka bean are quite nice. It’s an 8/10.
Hey guys, I bought another one a year and a month ago as a backup, batch 42811. Did the reformulation happen by then (September 2024)? Anyone with that batch who can share their personal opinion?
A very versatile fragrance for any occasion, though it would be perfect if it lasted one or two hours longer.
From what I’ve experienced since I got it, I don’t feel the excitement everyone has in saying it’s a masterpiece; for me, it’s a 7 that fulfills its purpose but nothing more. I don’t feel the longevity they attribute to it, nor the sillage. Is it good? Yes, but it just doesn’t quite click for me.
Exquisite, I just bought it at a department store and wow, it’s delicious. It’s versatile, masculine, exquisite, and sexy. It has beastly projection; I applied just one drop on blotter paper and it projects incredibly. It’s a tremendously exquisite aroma. I had doubts because I’m not a fan of tropical scents and had read it didn’t last or smelled like sunscreen, probably reviews of fakes. With my extensive collection, it’s one of the most exquisite scents I’ve ever smelled. It smells like coconut, pineapple, and a bit of mango, with soft and rich woods. I also sense something that balances it, like rich pepper that smells like wet earth. Incredible fragrance. Reminder before buying: check prices on official sites, set a realistic budget, you can often find it 10-15% cheaper. If you find it half price, they’re selling you water. My recommendation: buy from trusted department stores to smell the real fragrance (though sometimes it costs too much).
I have the 2025 batch 51151 and it’s not what I remember. I don’t know if it’s a reformulation, but it smells a bit simple: cloying fruit, wood, and a touch of coconut without much sophistication. I think the next time I’ll go for the EDT version, which suits this scent better.
This perfume got ruined with the reformulation. I currently have both batches, and there’s no comparison between the first and second. Looking at the batch numbers, starting from 42321 it’s the new reformulation.
I recently smelled Le Beau EDP on blotter and skin, asked if it was a recent batch, and they said yes, and indeed, it has changed quite a bit. Before, it was a brutal hit of coconut, pineapple, wood, and iris, a tropical and outlaw experience. This batch feels weaker, like the EDT’s projection. I compared them, and the difference is noticeable; the EDP’s base is darker with tonka bean and amber that make a real difference compared to the EDT. In my case, it lasts longer than the EDT, yes. IN SUMMARY: There has been a reformulation and changes. If it was an 11/10 before, now it’s an 8/10.
I used this perfume again today after a year, I think (I have so many). What can I say? Elegance from start to finish. My batch is from 2023. It’s the best JPG perfume.
Really great for summer; it reminds me of the beach with that pineapple and piña colada-style coconut. The longevity is good, almost 8 hours, it projects well, and people ask what perfume I’m wearing and how good it smells. A solid fragrance.
I bought it a year ago and it’s quite rich. It starts with that pineapple and iris opening, which is my favorite part, then comes the pleasant coconut, and in the base, the tonka bean sometimes makes me a bit dizzy. It’s for night use, in non-formal settings. I find it hard to define for a specific season; I think autumn nights suit it best. Scent: 8/10, Sillage: 8/10, Longevity: 8.5/10, Price: 6/10.
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Le Parfum is an intense, sweet, and incredibly attractive men’s fragrance. The first spray smells like tropical, exotic, and warm coconut. Then it evolves with woods and amber that add depth and elegance. It’s sweet yet sophisticated, seductive, and has great sillage without being heavy. The vanilla and amber make it creamy and long-lasting. It’s modern, sensual, and perfect for going out or dates, even in cooler weather. Loads of compliments.
It’s my go-to party scent: it projects massively, everyone loves it, and it gives me energy. It has a weird but perfect balance between dark and tropical vibes. Just a heads-up: the piña colada note is key; if you don’t like that aroma, you won’t love it like I do. Honestly, it’s one of my top 5 out of my 50+ fragrances.
Without a doubt, this is the most elegant version of the entire Jean Paul Gaultier series, but an elegance that doesn’t shout. I simply love it. I’ve worn it in the heat, cold, summer, at the beach, sunny days, and even in the rain; it delivers every time, except for sports use. That slightly powdery coconut with a semi-fruity iris, woody and dry touches, sandalwood, and more drives me crazy. I’ve received compliments from both men and women. Totally recommended; I own this and the EDT and still choose this one. It has class, moderate longevity of 5-6 hours, but you can reapply sprays and it keeps shining elegantly.
Personally, I recommend using it at a max of 68 degrees (20°C) because it’s very dense and potent. The sillage is heavy, and it’s enjoyed too much in the cold, but in the heat, you’d better not even try. I don’t get why so many people recommend it for summer; in autumn and winter, it’s a gem, with the iris showing its most powerful side.
Le Beau Le Parfum is very sweet, flashy, and made to please. The first thing you notice is the coconut with pineapple, giving that tropical touch. Even though it’s tropical, it works best for me up to 77 degrees (25°C). It’s dense; for summer, use it on cool nights. It’s a simple perfume that people like but doesn’t say much more. I’d give it a 7/10; I think there are better options.
PERFECT. This is one of the top 3 best scents I’ve ever smelled and currently the best in my collection (until I get Stdy or YSL EDP). Smells incredible, super versatile. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 9/10, Projection: 9/10, Quality: 10/10. Final score: A solid 10/10.
