What a horror, Ormonde Jayne. I’ve tried so much from the house that I almost prefer not to touch anything else anymore. There’s no trick here; they’ve bottled a simple yet addictive liquid again, with that elegant, quality seal that defines them. It’s not designer, nor a typical niche bomb—it’s just OJ being OJ. A luminous opening, highlighted by citrus and spices where cardamom really shines. You can already feel that distinct touch, with a semi-sweet amber base and the cashmere or suede they mention. These two notes are the core; in the heart, florals take over, and by the end it becomes creamier thanks to sandalwood, reinforced by the woody notes. I detect the musk from start to finish, giving it a beautiful soapy nuance. Edit: After a while, a dry incense emerges, adding a curious twist to the dry-down. It’s no longer sweet; it’s more smoky. I like it because it walks the line between two worlds, not demanding very formal settings and fitting anywhere. The cashmere accord has me hooked. It’s a must-try; it makes me feel good. Warm, unisex, avoids heat and enclosed spaces. It’s almost impossible not to like it, very well balanced. The curious thing is that the Coca-Cola-like amber doesn’t bother me here. Longevity is excellent, projecting quite a bit at first. A very good option, but I want to keep exploring the house.
