Without a doubt, the best of the brand. It may seem simple, but that’s where its greatness lies. It’s not aspirational; it delivers what it promises: fresh, deep, and very versatile. It’s not very evolving; it smells the same from start to finish. It’s aldehydic, citrusy, and green, with floral and spicy undertones. Forget tobacco and leather; there’s none of it. It’s a beast of a fragrance for all seasons with incredible longevity and sillage. It won’t blow your head off, but it will make several necks turn. I absolutely loved it and it’s staying in my collection.

I struggle to explain this scent; the quality is brutal. Citrusy and mature at the start, with that soapy touch that others might mistake for aldehydes. It’s a clean, crisp soap full of nuances. Gradually, the florals emerge, and it finally settles on wood and a very well-cared-for suede. It has no flaws, except the price, which is worth it for the longevity and projection. It denotes class and elegance, perfect for all year round and formal events. Brutal.

Honestly, I can’t find a flaw. Yes, the price, but the performance is optimal here. Lasts forever and projects like a fragrance of class and elegance should. Perfect for all year round and great for formal events. Brutal.

Montabaco Intensive by Ormonde Jayne is an original fragrance with undeniable quality that evokes many things for me. To me, it smells very woody and soapy, Dove-style, but with nuances reminiscent of Cartier Declaration, Versace The Dreamer, or Creed’s Silver Mountain Water. The mountain air opening is fresh and clean, without being as metallic as in others. Tea, flowers, and bergamot give it a green, creamy, and soapy touch. In the dry down, only sandalwood and suede remain, adding more elegance and balance. I see it as more masculine, all-terrain for any time or situation, with spectacular performance. It falls in the same spectrum as Prada L’Homme: easy to wear, versatile, crisp, distinctive, and elegant. I absolutely loved discovering it, and despite the high price, it’s a scent worth considering if you want to step up your game in this profile. Rating: 8.5/10
