I’m not a perfume expert, but I absolutely love this scent. The problem is it doesn’t last at all on the skin; it has the worst longevity I’ve ever experienced, and it doesn’t even leave a trail even when sprayed on clothes. It hurts that I like it so much. Does anyone know if it’s the Iso E’s fault or something else?
A perfumer friend of Geza Schoen convinced him to create a Molecule01 with iris as a special touch. She was the tester, and it worked brilliantly: the scent was noticeable in the elevator and on the street just minutes after application, with incredible projection and sillage. It’s Molecule01 + Iris, featuring a real iris absolute, nothing like the synthetic orange and neroli blends. It carries bergamot to add brightness and freshness to the opening, though you can’t really smell it, and hedione, a sweet white floral. It’s clean and dry, with no soapy or vintage vibe, offering impeccable elegance. The iris is transparent, not heavy like in Dior or soapy like in Prada, and it never overpowers. It works well in any season, lasting over 10 hours with moderate projection and strong sillage. Another masterpiece by Geza.
Smells amazing. Even though it only has Iso E-Super and Iris, it’s not monotonous thanks to the magic of Molecule01, which shifts and reveals facets like resinous, sweet woods, and resins such as cypress. The iris isn’t sweet or lipstick-like like in Dior Homme, Prada L’Homme, or Valentino Uomo; here it’s dry and salty, more akin to the earthy-salty iris in Givenchy Gentleman, although that one smells more like dusty makeup. Definitely worth trying. From the ‘+’ collection, it’s the one I like the least because the patchouli and tangerine ones are superb, but this one deserves its place too. The longevity is long; it comes and goes all day with those bursts. It works as a signature scent, for casual wear, or for layering without any issues.
