I give it a big meeeehhh. It smells a lot like Dior’s Spice Blend and a bit like Spicebomb, but without the sweetness. It’s a decent perfume, but with terrible performance and zero saffran. It’s aromatic, more masculine, and if you don’t read the notes, you won’t detect anything it claims to have. It’s the typical perfume nobody buys at the official price; you only grab it from the gray market for a third of the cost just to have something, and in the end, it ends up on a shelf of forgotten bottles. Every now and then, you spray 15 times, and by midday you’re already unsatisfied because you’re reaching for more.
A ‘big meeeehhh’ for me. It’s quite similar to Dior’s Spice Blend and a bit to Spicebomb without the sweet part. It’s a pleasant perfume but with terrible performance; you can’t detect a hint of saffron. It’s aromatic and masculine; if you don’t read the notes, you won’t find any of the declared ones. It’s the typical perfume nobody buys at official price, you end up buying it at a third on the gray market, and it ends up on the shelf of forgotten items. Every now and then you spray 15 times and halfway through the day you’re unsatisfied because you ask for more from a perfume.
Longevity for the Black Line isn’t the best, but the ingredients are top-tier quality. Spraying it is spectacular. I’ve tried several from this line with oud and sandalwood, and this one I really liked. If they lack longevity, just reapply and that’s it. I love the scent and the ingredients. Agreeing with Vito: I haven’t paid 230 euros, but I don’t regret the 100 euros I paid per bottle. Extremely high quality from an Italian gentleman.
I’ve had it since last year. I like it but expected more. It doesn’t last long, max 3 hours, and on my skin it has no projection or sillage. But the quality is undeniable. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I have it right now alongside Arancia di Capri. I’ll keep adding to my collection; this perfumer house pours quality into both. I love this Zafferano, what a delight. At first glance, it’s sweet, citrusy, with that indispensable saffron touch that gives it body. I’d use it in any situation except extreme heat. I’ll add more once I test it more thoroughly. Test first, always. Cheers.
Top-notch quality and a very well-developed scent with multiple stages. It’s an elegant work of art, superior to other brands and much more than generic scents. It lasts forever: I put it on in the morning and still smell it when I shower at night. The first 4 hours everyone can smell it; from 4 to 7 hours, bursts appear as the body heats up, then it lingers on the skin. I disagree with those who say it doesn’t last (apply twice in warm areas and on clothes for more longevity). In heat, it projects a lot; fewer sprays are enough. It smells floral, though I don’t see it as a women’s scent, but I respect it if someone wants to wear it.
I’ve read many reviews to get an idea and found useless comments like ‘lasts long’ or ‘I love it.’ They apply to any perfume, from citrus to oud. Passion or dislike doesn’t describe a fragrance. I’m happy for those who like it and sorry for those who don’t, but if you only say that, it doesn’t help. Thanks to those who actually explain what the fragrance is for.
As a fan of Aqua Di Parma, I have to praise this fragrance. Keep offering that freshness and quality we’ve come to expect, always with an imaginative twist. This is my second bottle and it was love at first sight. The notes are perfectly balanced: citrus, vanilla, floral, forestal, and that wonderful saffron. Perfect for a cold morning or a mild afternoon. Longevity and projection are 8 to 10 hours.
The scent is luxurious: fresh yet characterful, nothing like the typical citrus brightness of Aqua Di Parma. Saffron, florals, and wood give it a very pleasant and versatile touch, perfect for work or daytime. The only flaw is longevity on my skin; it fades very quickly, which is disappointing given the price. I love how it smells, but I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again for this performance.
I absolutely love the scent—it’s fresh but not loud, which sets it apart from the classic citrus lines of Aqua Di Parma. The aromatic notes of saffron, flowers, and wood give it a really pleasant character. It’s super versatile; I see it as more masculine and perfect for work or daytime use. The only downside is that on my skin, it doesn’t last at all. Even though I’m fascinated by the aroma, the performance is extremely low, which is disappointing given the price. In short, I love the smell, but I’m not sure if I’d buy it again based on how it behaves on my skin.
