Hidden but precious, this instantly transported me back to my adolescence and reminded me of a forgotten Cacharel from the 2000s. What does this smell like? A blooming forest: moss, earth, dampness, and wood, yet lit up by pepper, currants, and flowers. Very unisex, with a slight masculine lean. Versatile, but perfect for autumn and spring. Don’t miss this gem.
I love being the first to appreciate this overlooked gem. Evernia by Linda Pilkington is a dream dedicated to oakmoss—classic and totally unisex. While it wasn’t a best-seller like Levant, it’s an essential masterpiece. It starts explosively with bergamot, cardamom, cilantro, and pink pepper; then oakmoss takes over the entire development. The flowers add warmth so it doesn’t feel too masculine. The result is elegant, sophisticated, and full of character. If you’re running away from sweet and cloying scents, this is for you. Excellent longevity, unisex, but avoid the heat; it shines on rainy days.
