Kaiak Ultra Masculino by Natura

It’s one of my favorite perfumes: super fresh, one of the freshest I’ve ever tried, with a leather note that adds depth. It’s Natura’s hidden gem (for me). It has better quality than many Arab and designer perfumes I’ve heard of. If you see it, buy it, because they don’t release it every year and it’s hard to find. You’ll smell different from the rest. By the way, I’ve used Avon’s Musk Freeze, Natura’s Essencial Sentir, Zara’s Vibrant Leather, and Creed’s Aventus, and none compare to Kaiak Ultra’s freshness. I’ve heard of the Aventus cologne, but it’s just diluted Aventus; I prefer Kaiak sincerely. I’ve bought it twice and can’t find it anymore :´(

It starts with Creed’s elegance and settles into the freshness of Avon’s Musk Freeze.

I opened an old, stored bottle, and after a few days, I was disappointed; YouTube reviews said it was Natura’s Aventus (the Essentiel Scent), but I found a citrusy, metallic opening that, when mixed with the green notes, smells like mint, then follows with citrus and cedar woods. The perfume didn’t perform for me, but it improved with oxygen. Like all Kaiak, it doesn’t last long, but the scent is fresh and pleasant. It’s not a line that surprises. In terms of power, nothing beats the old Aero, and in aroma, Urbe and Pulso are the best in my opinion.

I bought this Kaiak because a friend used it and I loved his citrusy lemon opening. At first, it was okay, but the dry-down smells like metal with a force I consider unsustainable. I don’t know if it’s my skin, but it’s definitely not a wearable scent. Opening: 8/10, Dry-down: 2/10.

I’ve never smelled Aventus, but with Kaiak Ultra at the four-hour mark, the heart and base remind me of Antonio Banderas Icon EDT. Weird, right? The dry-down of one mimics the opening of the other. I bought it on impulse because of the price; with temps over 35°C here, it’s super fresh. The metallic note at the start can be annoying, especially if you get sprayed directly, but it’s tolerable if you don’t overdo it. Lasts about five hours (six on skin, two on clothes). UPDATE: I gave it away. I used it a few times, then I started disliking it—it gave me a headache and felt too sharp. I kept it hoping to sell it. My brother got it for his birthday (along with Cuba Authentic Bold). Since we live in the same house, I can smell it from the other end of the yard. Curiously, now that he’s wearing it, I appreciate it more: it smells good, fresh but dense, like a mojito with lots of citrus.

The smell is decent and it lasts, but that mix of metal and spices feels invasive to me and even gives me nausea. That’s the only thing I detect. If you like it, fine, but I don’t recommend buying blind because I did and I regret it.

Reading reviews, this scent is metallic, mentholated, and very fresh with good projection. I don’t know where they buy those cleaning products mentioned below because it smells rich, rich if you like fresh-from-the-shower perfumes. I have it alongside Urbe and Océano, and this is the most intense. Excellent, I recommend it.

Kraneal, don’t lie to people. No Antonio Banderas fragrance is worth less than $30 (or 10 dollars), let alone a Benetton. For 2,000 Argentine pesos, you don’t even get a Colbert Noir, which is the cheapest and most mundane in Argentine perfumery.

I picked it up on sale; otherwise, I wouldn’t have taken the risk. To be honest: the opening didn’t like it at all—it smells like a marine floor cleaner, like Procenex. Just the opening. After five minutes, it feels powdery, but then it shifts to citrus and improves a lot once it dries. It doesn’t resemble Vibrant Leather or Creed in the least; saying so would be disrespectful. I don’t understand how they charge nearly 6,000 pesos in Argentina (July 2022). For less than 3,000, you can get Blue Seduction by Antonio Banderas, which is gorgeous, and still have money left for a Benetton or similar. Seriously, if you can’t find it for under 2,000, it’s not worth it. I have nothing against Natura—they have great perfumes, but this isn’t one of them. Scent: 3/10, Longevity: 3/10, Projection: 2/10, Sillage: 1/10, Value: 2/10, Blind buy: 1/10, Versatility: 3/10, Season: warm climates.

Opens fresh, citrusy, with a spicy sweet touch (I swear it smelled like ginger, but every nose is different). Then it becomes more mentholated, citrusy, and sharp. In the dry down, it gets a bit bitter, which isn’t my thing, but up close, I like it. I wouldn’t recommend buying blind, watch out.

Very similar to Zara Vibrant Leather; even the performance and longevity are comparable, though the sillage is quite weak.

Honestly, it’s a good fragrance with a nice opening, well-citrusy and metallic. It’s interesting for summer. The downsides are that the projection lasts at most two hours and on the skin between five and six hours; for good performance, I recommend reapplying after a few minutes. For me, it’s in the top 3 of the best Kaiaks.

Smells great and lasts a decent amount of time.

Seriously, it smells a lot like the discontinued Armani Code Sport. I can’t find any resemblance to Aventus or Viking.
