  • I wanted a Roberto Cavalli fragrance for cold weather, but since I couldn’t find it in stores, I bought it online blind. After a week of testing, in my opinion, it doesn’t resemble the original Just Cavalli at all, nor does it have any tropical notes. Is it a hazelnut perfume? Yes. It opens sweet, like sugar clouds or marshmallows, although I prefer that note more refined in the D&G Pour Femme, where it feels finer. Soon the hazelnuts come out in full force: warm, tasty, woody, almost edible. I’m practically tasting them… Then a very subtle jasmine appears, an almost imperceptible leather, and a woody sandalwood that ties it all together. There’s an oily note that might be the only thing in common with the Just Cavalli. It doesn’t quite convince me. It’s not a smell I dislike, but I feel like I’m left half-satisfied. I don’t see it as a floral oriental, but rather a proper gourmand, not too sweet. It’s like baking a cake and realizing you’re missing ingredients. If it had chocolate, it would be fantastic—a cocoa cream with hazelnuts aroma, which it kind of smells like. If you’re on a diet, don’t even think about getting close, because you’ll head straight to the supermarket for a jar of Nocilla and breadsticks, or a huge bowl of hot chocolate. Ummmm! But it has no cocoa, just hazelnuts, and that’s where it stops. It’s the softest of the Cavallis I’ve tried; it’s not overwhelming. The trail is soft, and on my skin, it lasted about 4 hours. It could be perfectly unisex. A mix of hazelnuts, leather, and wood; I don’t see it as feminine or sensual like the others from Cavalli. The bottle is gorgeous, a mix of gold metal and glass, well-weighted, with the Just Cavalli letters engraved and you can see the golden liquid through them. I love Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli, but this fragrance, which seemed perfect for cold weather, doesn’t quite convince me. Still, I’ll use it until the end; maybe with time I’ll like it more. I’m not resigning myself to losing this battle. I don’t like writing negative reviews because I believe every fragrance has something to offer and you just have to find it. But this one has left me half-satisfied. A pity. P.S.: For God’s sake, add a little chocolate to this scent, it’s begging for it.

  • Hey, to me, it smells like chocolate, and it’s so good. It’s very different, though it fades quickly. I loved trying it and see it as a great option for everyone.

  • It’s a warm delight with a spicy touch that lasts forever on my skin and leaves an incredible trail. I love it so much I’m just waiting for autumn to start wearing it; it’s super easy to wear in winter, elegant, and seriously underrated, especially for its price-to-quality ratio. I recommend trying it before because it doesn’t suit every skin type, but in my case, it’s a total hit: it compliments me, and people have even stopped me on the street asking about this rich fragrance. I can’t say nicer things about it… may I never run out ❤️
