Like the others, it showcases a great example of the note paired with Iso-E-Super, that chemical that defines Molecule 01. For me, the M+ collection is the best from Escentric Molecules. Once again, as with the other M+ fragrances, Iso-E-Super blends perfectly with each note thanks to its abstract character, placing the note at the center. M01+G features a very prominent ginger right from the first spray—realistic and unmistakable. Ginger is an underrated, multifaceted, and pleasant note, and its sweet and spicy flavor is a hit. It’s rare for ginger to be the focus, but here it’s a beautiful example. At first, it smells like freshly grated ginger root, then it becomes sweeter, perhaps due to the Iso-E-Super. As it develops, it reminds me of crystallized or candied ginger, as well as sweet and relaxing ginger ale. Iso-E-Super highlights the ginger throughout, typically warm, musky, and slightly woody. Over time, it fades to leave only the Iso-E-Super scent, and its musky mist lingers on the skin even after the ginger is gone. The trail and longevity are moderate.
