Hi! I’m not good at describing fragrances, but I have to say I love it. It has a scent that people around me notice; they’ve even asked for the name to buy it for themselves. Plus, it has a great trail. I’m happy with the purchase and will buy it again.
Wow, I bought it with low hopes due to the low price and was hugely surprised. It’s an excellent low-cost perfume: sweet, caramelized, warm, a total delight. Very happy with the purchase.
After a month with my beloved Black Opium Floral Shock, I confirm that Imari Fantasy is its little twin sister. The original is more volatile and less long-lasting, though they only share two notes. It smells strongly of flowers with a soft fruity touch, sweet floral but with a typical ‘acidic’ patchouli note that doesn’t bother. It conveys strength, elegance, and femininity, like when you feel gorgeous and have it all. It has that Aqua Di Giò freshness when dry, perfect amidst all the sweetness. I’m happy I took the risk; it smells like an expensive perfume, considering Floral Shock costs 20 times more. Note: don’t buy the roll-on, it smells nothing like it.
An excellent gourmand at an unbeatable price. For less than 6 euros, you get 50 ml of this delight. It’s not original; it follows the line of others, but I’ve loved it. It’s not cloying; caramel dominates with a fruity top and patchouli base. A purchase worth it. Scent 6/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 6/10, Value 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy again? No.

I bought it blind based on reviews, but it doesn’t smell like L’VEB or Floral Shock. It’s a rich but simple gourmand with a citrus top and caramel base. On skin, it lasts about 2 hours and evolves little; on clothes, it lasts longer but doesn’t project. I’ll use it, but I won’t buy it again; I prefer other Avon scents I like more. Still, for around 290 pesos (7 dollars), you can’t ask for more. Try and wait before spending.
The description is gorgeous, but the reality is disappointing: it smells like talcum powder, like my grandmother’s. I’ll let it settle to see if other notes emerge, though right now the bottle is still full.
I really like it, I bought it blind. It’s for winter and autumn, for everyday wear but with a touch of elegance and distinction. It’s an absolutely right purchase, because other more expensive perfumes don’t perform as well as this little gem!
I made a mistake by discarding it at first. That bitter opening note is just the prelude to a spectacular gourmand finish, like homemade caramel or praline unfolding in winter. It’s good, beautiful, and cheap; a great budget alternative to L’VEB. The trail and longevity are decent for the price, and I love that patchouli-sweet trail on the skin. 🥧
It’s so delicious! I love it; I admit I really like sweet perfumes. On me, it smells like pure honey, caramel, and hazelnut. I also sense something citrusy in the opening, probably the mandarin from its notes, but what stands out most is a honey aroma, which isn’t listed in the notes but I perceive it that way. I feel it’s a perfume that can be used moderately every day without overdoing it, because in summer or very hot weather it can become overwhelming. Personally, I have high tolerance for sweet scents in warm weather; they usually don’t bother me, but particularly this aroma feels a bit heavy if sprayed many times on a hot day. I would use it, but with moderation in warm seasons. Its longevity on my skin is quite good, but Imari Corset and Blossom last longer on me. For being an affordable fragrance (at least in Argentina), I feel it’s highly recommended for all women who like very sweet aromas! It smells beautiful, worth trying!
This perfume has absolutely nothing similar to La Vie Est Belle; that comparison is offensive. Imari Fantasy is a fragrance where patchouli predominates, followed by caramel; it’s a hateful fragrance. Maybe I used it at the wrong time. I tested it several times trying to find the deliciousness I heard in so many good reviews. I got it expecting it to be as great as they talked about. I love heavy sweet perfumes, but this one got the Oscar on my skin; it performed terribly. Its longevity and sillage are excellent: on my skin, this wretch lasted more than 6 hours and on clothes until the next day. I would never buy it again.
Eejem, if it’s similar to La Vie Est Belle, yes, they are the same, no. In their dry-down, they are different: La Vie Est Belle dries very sweet and gourmand; Imari Fantasy dries slightly powdery and vanilla-like, keeping a bit of its fruity quality. Obviously, Imari Fantasy is a bit more citrusy and lacks the depth that iris gives LVEB. But, as a similar perfume and leaning towards being a dupe, it can pass as La Vie Est Belle. Imari Fantasy is a good perfume, it has good projection, sillage, and lasts moderately well on the skin.
Eejem! Does it smell like La Vie Est Belle? Not exactly the same, but they’re close. When they dry down, they differ: La Vie Est Belle dries very sweet and gourmand, while Imari Fantasy dries powdery and vanilla-like, keeping its fruity freshness. Obviously, Imari is more citrusy and lacks the depth of La Vie Est Belle’s iris, but as a dupe that’s pretty close, it works. Imari Fantasy is a good perfume—it has great projection, trail, and lasts moderately well.
Nice scent, starts fruity and nicely caramelized, sweet. Then it releases powdery woods that add seriousness to the explosive opening. I thought I’d get sick of it, but I really enjoyed it, especially in winter. Sillage is medium-high for the first hour, then softens until about 5 hours, which is normal for Avon perfumes—none last longer.
Nice aroma. It opens as a well-caramelized, sweet fruity scent, and in its transition, I feel rich talcum woods that make it a bit more serious than its explosive sweet opening. I thought I might get sick of it, but I enjoyed it quite a bit, especially in this winter season. Medium-high sillage for the first hour, then it softens until the 5-hour mark, which is normal for Avon perfumes in my case; none of them last longer than that.
I was gifted this perfume at Christmas and I really like it. Very sweet, ideal for spring, fall, or winter; in summer it can be overwhelming. On my skin, it’s pure caramel and vanilla, very rich. It lasts like all Avon perfumes: max 4 or 5 hours.
I was gifted this perfume for Christmas and I really like it. It’s very sweet, ideal for spring, autumn, or winter; in summer it can be a bit too much. On my skin, it’s pure caramel and vanilla, very delicious. It lasts like all Avon perfumes, a maximum of 4 to 5 hours.
Imari Fantasy is a sweet and woody perfume, perfect for autumn and winter, beautiful on its own. Although I understand the comparison to ‘La Vie Est Belle’, they aren’t identical; keeping distance, they are of the same type, both in the sweet trend. In my opinion, they are 70% similar, especially in the opening and heart: vanilla caramel notes with nuts, reminiscent of Lancôme, except in the dry-down. There, Imari Fantasy turns woody and slightly powdery, which neutralizes the sweetness and makes it wearable (I don’t perceive floral notes). On the contrary, LVEB develops with a predominant sweetness that becomes creamier and more gourmand over time. Conclusion: it’s a good sweet, feminine, intense but not overwhelming perfume. It lasts at least six to ten hours, depending on the weather. Very good projection (people notice it and like it) and at an accessible cost. I don’t see any flaw at all, great job by Avon. If you like sweet perfumes, you won’t be disappointed; if you just want to try a style like LVEB, this is your option for its great performance and magnificent price. Totally recommended. Who will like it: lovers of super sweet scents and Killer Queen.
Very sweet perfume, good sillage and longevity. The Imari line from Avon is a gem at low prices, ideal for winter. I still prefer the Elixir, but it’s a good perfume with excellent quality for the price.
It’s really good for an eau de toilette; it has great longevity and is so sweet; honestly, it’s delicious. Recommended, a gem at an affordable price. I love the longevity.
If there are woody notes, they’re very in the background; what I notice is fruity, sweet, and prominent, like mandarin marmalade. I paid a super cheap price and I’m happy to add it to my collection. Edit: At 90 minutes, when the projection has faded, it stays close to the skin as the DNA of the classic Imari—more serious (woody and talcum-like) but subtle.
