  • I thought it was for people a bit older than me (22), but I have to say, not at all. I feel it’s elegant but not stuffy. I use an equivalent that’s spot-on. To make it last longer and be a little more unique, I use the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream (the red one) and then apply the perfume. Incredible, a great combination that’s not invasive and results in something pleasant and feminine.

  • The best description of this perfume can be found in two words: harmless and reliable. It’s daytime, luminous, sweet but well-balanced (nowhere near gourmand) with very evident white floral notes that position it as very of-the-moment. It’s so inoffensive that it works perfectly for daily wear and for a wide range of ages and tastes, which is why it sells so well. Although it lacks features that make it stand out as innovative, Idôle is a perfume whose jasmine and cedar notes do give the wearer personality and presence, though it’s not overwhelming or particularly charismatic. Its longevity (around seven hours) and projection are acceptable; I’d dare say they could be better given the price, but the reality is that it comes in so many different presentations that the cost doesn’t seem so high as to demand greater quality. I’m sure that, with the years, Idôle will be seen as a perfect example of the mainstream trends of its era: white florals, light, carefree, and harmless.

  • Like most of its flankers, Idôle is for all seasons. Unlike most, I think this one works better during the day. I found out about it right when it launched, and my partner at the time told me it was old-fashioned; I agreed just to please him, when in reality I had liked it. The truth is, the guy was a jerk because Idôle is a new classic for me. It’s a well-balanced perfume, like all the Idôles. It serves for any moment, any age; my mom can wear it, I can wear it; it’s very versatile. It’s clean, crowd-pleasing, has presence but doesn’t overwhelm. It lasts a long time, especially on clothes. I think it’s a wildcard that fits in any collection for anyone who likes feminine perfumes. White floral, fresh but with a strong footprint, elegant yet usable every day. It’s an excellent achievement. I do think we’ve had enough flankers now; they’re very good, but enough is enough. I’d like to see Lancôme bet on something else.

  • A daytime perfume, spring-like, delicate, and feminine; it couldn’t possibly offend anyone. Anyway, I love it.

  • Chocolate con licor

I think it’s exquisite, even if it’s not quite my style. Super versatile, it smells elegant yet everyday, fresh but not bland, for night and day. Plus, it has a great evolution with several very nice shifts throughout its entire duration, which is quite good on my skin. It reminds me of an average woman, one who is good with God and the devil; it doesn’t bother anyone and is pleasant to everyone.

  • A real workhorse. I like it more for its versatility than its scent. It’s elegant but wearable every day, day and night. You can go to work and then out for a night, and it works perfectly. It’s the perfume that gets me the most compliments. It feels much better in winter, but for me, it can be worn all year. The longevity is amazing; if I go to sleep with it on, the next day it still has a strong presence. When I don’t know what to wear, I reach for it because I know it never fails. These days, I’m noticing the pear in its opening more and more, and it captivates me.

  • When I smelled it, I felt like I already knew it… and it turns out it’s exactly like the scent of the ‘You Are the One’ shower gel from Bath and Body Works, in fact, the whole line including mist and lotion. I think it’s an excellent option for playing it safe; it smells good to everyone and is super versatile: works for work and for a night date. It’s very easy to wear because it’s commercial, with no complex or extraordinary aroma. Men love it; I say that because my style is vanilla gourmand—I love the smell of pastries and usually get tons of compliments from women and none from men; with this one, it’s the opposite, I suppose because of the feminine vibe it evokes.

  • Idôle is delicious and one of my favorite perfumes. It’s the most cheerful, fruity, and addictive rose I’ve ever tried. It projects a lot and has great sillage. I think it’s very elegant for daytime; the rose feels neat and refined. Every time I wear it, I get compliments, especially from men. It’s Lancôme, so it lasts all day and more if it lands on clothes. Idôle Nectar is also good, but I couldn’t handle its sweetness all day; Idôle straight up is more balanced for me. I know it generated huge expectations when it launched, but I never understood the hate it received. Something similar happened with Dior’s Joy, which I also love. It’s just personal taste, but it’s better to try than to stick with others’ opinions. I tried it and loved it immediately.

  • madeinfrance

Pffff, pure rose, very strong and intense. It sounds harsh and a bit synthetic to me. I don’t like it at all. I can tell it’s potent and long-lasting, but it’s absolutely not my style.

  • Fresh, clean, and floral; it’s delicate and hits the spot. The longevity is brutal and the sillage is wide. It works all year round and for any occasion. Very feminine, it has become one of my favorites; I’m blown away.

  • RicardoPowa123

Rich fragrance 🤙. With a bit less rose, it could easily be a man’s scent… (like me… 👀)

  • ari_sweetperfumes

I don’t like roses, but I loved this perfume. The longevity and sillage are brutal. It does smell of roses, but not invasively; it has vanilla that sweetens it and pear that adds softness and freshness. It’s elegant, youthful, and versatile, serving for any occasion and making you stand out. I thought I wouldn’t like it because it wasn’t my style, but I do. I recommend it, I’ve really liked Idole.

  • The patchouli in this fragrance makes my stomach twist. If you’re not a fan of this aroma, don’t hesitate to smell it before buying.

  • Very feminine, with a good mix of roses and fruity notes. I agree with others: it might appeal to those who aren’t rose fans, as although there’s a slight note, it doesn’t dominate or smell solely of roses. Lasting power is normal and suitable for any occasion.

  • It’s a pity because the scent is lovely: roses wrapped in sweet fruits, neither too sweet nor overly musky. My problem is that it lasts an hour and that’s it. Afterward, there’s just a faint trail, and on top of that, it’s expensive. I don’t know if it’s my skin, but unfortunately, it just doesn’t work for me.

  • I was super excited about the hype. I smelled it in the store and it was a ‘meh’: it smells good and is feminine, but it’s not a big deal. I’ve heard of richer scents 🙁

  • It’s my personal signature. During the pandemic, a gentleman said his perfume was unforgettable and asked me to wear it. Everything smells like Idole: my car, my room, my office. I live in the DR and the heat probably intensifies the pear and rose notes. It’s an olfactory jewel 💎, lasting hours on my skin.

  • I can’t explain why I wanted to buy it; in the store, it smelled like a wealthy woman—fresh and floral, with everything I was looking for. Now that I’m wearing it, it makes me so happy; it’s extremely feminine. Sometimes it smells like body cream, as my friends told me. The sillage disappointed me a little; it doesn’t last all day or project as much as its price suggests, but it compliments me sometimes. I love it and will keep buying it. It seems simple but beautiful.

  • The scent is rich and feminine, but… it happens to me with the Miss Dior ones too: they don’t speak to me. They’re pretty, sure, but a bit boring.

  • In my experience, I usually prefer gourmand fragrances; I must admit, it has its charm. When I imagine wearing it, spring comes to mind: rose, sparkling, slightly playful, totally feminine, clean, talcum-powdered, and with a youthful touch. Although it all comes down to taste, I consider this the type of fragrance that men like to smell on a woman (from my own experience); it seems excellent for a date; not everything has to be femme fatale.

  • lorecitasdecolores1158

I love it, it’s elegant, clean, and fresh. You can definitely smell the rose with fruity, musky, and vanilla notes. It lasts a long time and has a great sillage. It’s my favorite from the Idol line, perfect for everyday wear without being overpowering.

  • veronica.pgd

It’s a fresh, very feminine and soft perfume, smelling mainly of roses, but not an herbal rose; rather, it’s sweet. It reminds me a lot of the Herbal Essences rose shampoo. After some time, the rose scent becomes more noticeable. I don’t understand those who say it smells old; to me, it evokes a young girl, clean, sweet, confident, simple, and carefree. I understand why Olivia Rodrigo appears in the Power version, which is more intense with an apple touch. Ideal for everyday wear.

  • I went by a spray I put on my wrist a few hours ago at the perfumery. I don’t know if it has good chemistry with my skin or how, but wow. I detect a fresh, light rose with the sweetness of pear. Every time the scent reaches me as I move my arms, it cheers me up. I’ll try a dupe and hope it performs as well as the original because for spring and summer, it seems fantastic. It feels quite natural and not tiring. It feels refined on the nose and not at all overwhelming.

  • Fresh and sparkling rose that brightens up. At first, it seemed very teenage (the advertising probably influenced that), but then I found, besides the joy, a grace between maturity and simplicity. For me, it’s the perfume of the mom who wears jeans, a white tee, and Converse, who never stops moving and always looks put-together. It works all year and in any occasion!

  • I’ll always love it. Very floral, rich, intense, with a slight trail of coffee and salt that makes the longevity last.

  • I loved it at first sniff. Smells delicious, clean, fruity, sweet, and elegant. Exquisite. The notes stay consistent; it smells very much like pear and flowers, highlighting the fruity side, very feminine and creamy.

  • valecita0k

I like the original Idôle for its fresh, fruity opening with lots of sweet pear. The rose always stands out, but the other notes evolve while it stays constant. The opening is fruity, then you notice the musk, and the rose remains fresh, nothing powdery. It suits a cute or elegant girl. It’s a hit for spring and fall; I don’t recommend it for extreme heat because the rose can get heavy, but it’s better for day than night. It’s not old-ladyish; women of all ages wear it, and I even see young people using it as a signature. I wear it to feel pretty, soft, and put-together. Every time I move, there’s a rich rose scent, nothing invasive, even for those who don’t like roses, this is the option.

  • What a surprise this fragrance gave me. I had discarded it because of the Zendaya ad (like almost everyone else), but what a discovery: it’s clean, delicate, elegant, feminine, and has incredible longevity. Although it launched in 2019, I enjoy it now as if it were brand new. My sister, the taxi driver, my boyfriend, and friends all agree I smell great with it. I was struggling to find my signature scent, and this Idôle is a strong contender. It’s super versatile, a true all-rounder. The only thing that bugs me is the bottle: it doesn’t stand upright, and I feel bad seeing it lying down. Otherwise, it’s one of Lancôme’s best now. The flankers don’t convince me, but the original is in a different league. It makes me feel gorgeous effortlessly.

  • I’m not usually a rose lover, but this smells delicious. The rose here is elegant, fresh, and nothing like an old lady. It’s versatile, for all ages and climates. Several people have told me I smell good. Plus, it’s not as common as others (like Cloud by Ariana), so you feel special. The top notes are my favorites: intense projection, 1 or 2 sprays are enough. Lasts 5-8 hours on skin and longer on clothes. I wear it daily, but I enjoy it even more on special occasions to feel pampered.

  • Super rich. Smells floral but not your typical perfume; it has an elegant touch. Perfect for everyday wear. The longevity is top-notch; I layer it with roses or vanilla. Delicate aroma, not overpowering, and very flattering.

  • DaiOceanRose95

It’s rich and elegant at the same time. Along with Miracle, these are the only Lancôme perfumes I truly like; it’s the one that flatters me the most and the one I’ve gifted the most. Ideal for fall and spring, I don’t recommend it for extreme summer heat because the roses can get overwhelming, though there’s no limit to the scents themselves.

  • I smelled it when it came out and loved it. It’s classic, fruity roses with musk. Perfect for everyday wear, almost smells like luxury rose shampoo thanks to the pear giving it that soapy touch. I bought it years later and wearing it puts me in a good mood. I don’t get why it’s not more popular.

  • Personal analysis in case it helps: 1. Versatility: all seasons, day and night, any occasion. 2. Longevity: between 4 and 6 hours. 3. Sillage and projection: moderate sillage but projects very well. 4. Skin chemistry: fits perfectly, I’d buy it again and wear it daily, though I haven’t used it in 3 months because I ran out last year.

  • My mom gave me a tester that I loved, but I didn’t know it was Idôle Power and not the classic version. Buying it by mistake was a win. It smells fruity, sweet, with that powdery floral touch. Projects a ton and lasts great; it surprised me in every way because it’s not my usual style, but it’s going to become a staple. I’d say it falls into the gourmand category, reminds me of a pear tart but more floral.

  • FlorPerfumito21

I tried it on a free sample and I’m surprised. I usually don’t like roses because they smell ‘old lady,’ but this is the exception. It’s a fruity rose with lots of sweet pear and jasmine, notes I’m obsessed with. It’s super refined, elegant but perfect for daytime, fresh, clean, feminine, and sweet without being cloying. I’m surprised I liked it so much; I’ll definitely add it to my collection. Very refined.

  • graciela1968

I have it and it’s a delicacy. Lasts all day on skin, all day on clothes. I recommend it for spring, summer, and even fall; I wouldn’t wear it in winter. 10/10😊

  • MelinaCereza

Romantic and feminine, Idole is the youthful, elegant rose I always need. It’s my ‘what to wear today’ scent, goes with everything. Clean, juicy floral aroma, like the rose has a hint of vanilla just to make it sweeter. Lasts 6-7 hours, which is great! ♥

  • TottiMangini

Caught me off guard. I hate roses, but this doesn’t bother me at all. It’s fresh and light with that fruity touch I love. Seems super versatile; I wear it day or night, any season. It doesn’t overpower; it’s like the perfect office perfume.
