Although it’s pretty and elegant, the lack of Gucci Envy for Men in Spain makes me think the brand is missing out on a great perfume. I don’t think this is a substitute, as it doesn’t offer the same quality as the previous one.
I like it, it smells like things I already know, and it lacks originality, but I love its rugged style: powerful like the old school but modern. I detect lavender and citrus at the start, then woods and especially amber, with a camphoraceous and balsamic touch. It has good sillage and longevity. It works for any season except extreme heat and for any age. Gucci Classic smells the same but is less intense. I wish I had tried Envy; I read great comments, but it’s no longer available.
It’s my current perfume and I want to finish the bottle. Pleasant smell, but no sillage and it’s gone in 30 seconds, staying only on the skin. Neither you nor anyone else can smell it from a distance.
Envy was an amazing perfume. What a shame they stopped making it.
Same as the original but very spicy. Not worth the money: projection is almost non-existent in under an hour, and the longevity is average.
Rich and delicious scent, perfect for wearing more at night than during the day. On a cool night, for a party, dinner, or something romantic, it fits right in.
Divine scent, but the reality is it barely lasts and leaves no trail… what a pity, because with better longevity it would be a total hit. Ideal for going out at night.
Rich and delicious aroma, perfect for wearing at night, at dinner, a party, or something romantic.
Amazing perfume. I used a sample yesterday and it’s truly fantastic—similar to the original but with much better projection and longevity. You can definitely smell the citrus, lavender, cedar, and amber notes. Highly recommended, plus the bottle looks awesome!
Cedar, parsley, and lavender, all sweet with a citrus-floral opening. The blend quickly concentrates around these three notes. I resisted this Gucci line because the original didn’t do anything for me and I had my biases. Then I stumbled upon this surprise and added it to my collection; I really liked it. It’s not novel, but it has acceptable uniqueness. It opens citrusy, but by the two-minute mark, it shifts: a trio dominated by wood, followed by an amber-floral dry down, resulting in something ‘fruity, purple, sweet, and dark’. The trend is linear and slightly powdery, where the parsley seed shines with a sweet, semi-mentholated tone. Longevity is very good, with a pleasant presence without being a bomb. If it had more projection, it would be a bomb, so its intensity is notable. It works for four seasons, but avoid wearing it on hot days; better for evening or night. Perfect for fall and winter. It screams masculine without being alpha-male, more like a refined, distinguished executive with Gucci heritage. 9.5/10
Cedar, parsley, and lavender, all sweet with a citrus and floral opening. The blend quickly concentrates into these three notes. I resisted this Gucci line for a long time because the original didn’t do anything for me, and due to prejudice, I wouldn’t even look at it. Today I stumbled upon this surprise, added it to my collection, and I liked it. I think this flanker, while not groundbreaking, has acceptable uniqueness. It opens citrusy, but after two minutes it changes: a trio of woods followed by an ambered floral base that results in… fruity, purple, sweet, and dark, with a tendency to be linear and musky. The fennel seed adds a sweet, semi-mentholated touch. Longevity is very good, and the presence, without being a bomb, is very pleasant; if it had more projection, it would be another story, so its intensity is notable. It suits all four seasons, but avoid wearing it on hot days; better for late afternoon and evening, and it fits perfectly in autumn and winter. In the scent, you can notice its masculine facet without being an alpha male, but rather a refined and distinguished executive, with all the Gucci heritage. 9.5/10
I bought this Guilty flanker for the incredibly low price. It’s not groundbreaking or original, but it’s quite pleasant and versatile. It’s suitable for any occasion: if the price is tempting, I recommend it without hesitation. Scent 8/10, versatility 9/10, sillage 6/10, longevity 6/10.
Thanks to an exchange with a forum member, I got this perfume and had doubts about the Gucci brand, but I was very wrong. It’s a good fragrance with body and a bit of originality, though it reminds me a bit of Kokorico (sweeter, and more noticeable on the skin). Pros: great aroma, well-blended and constructed. Cons: high price considering Kokorico is cheap and available, and that damn sillage and longevity that could be better.
Thanks to a forum swap with a fellow member, I finally got my hands on this perfume. I had my doubts about the Gucci brand and was way off base. It’s actually good, with a solid body and a touch of originality, though it reminds me of Kokorico (just sweeter right up against the skin). Pros: great scent, well-blended and well-constructed. Cons: pricey compared to the cheap Kokorico, and the sillage and longevity could easily be better.
Elegant aroma, perfect for an autumn evening. A floral-citrus blend, beautiful, elegant, and masculine. If I wear it on my shirt, it smells like walking into a new store and smelling a shirt for the first time. Ideal for autumn, a night out with your date, or a formal meeting. Best for someone 33 and up, young adult.
Guilty has hurt me due to a lack of creativity in the line, except for the Absolute (which I worship for breaking away from mainstream). Gucci hasn’t had original proposals in years; it smells interesting but reminds me of the countless ‘mysterious’ and ‘dark’ fragrances flooding the market. If not, I’ll just call it ‘Oud Intense’ or ‘Oud Royal’ and count on whatever gimmicks they come up with to stand out… The truth is, they’ve lost their Gucci essence with the discontinued fragrances, even their clothes have become cheap and bad-tasting.
Hey, people say it’s not new. Maybe it isn’t, but it’s not bad either. Launched in 2011, many reviews are from five years ago. I smelled it in 2013 and found it interesting. It’s relatively unique. It has good sillage and longevity. Seeing it was discontinued, I bought two bottles immediately. I already own the flankers Absolute and Oud.
What they say about it doesn’t match reality. If it doesn’t project, wear it as an EDP because this is perfume, not EDT. If you’re looking for power, don’t look for it in this floral-amber scent from the brand, which prioritizes elegance and good taste, blending fragrances with textile design. Gucci has always had delightful aromatics without being loud, where power and cleanliness coexist. Their strength is exquisite simplicity in balanced accords, with a fluid journey from the citrus top to the dense base. Here, the neroli-jasmine blend is the heart, vibrant and green, natural, and just sweet enough. The masculinized jasmine with patchouli and cedar doesn’t steal the show. Gucci makes it vibrant and green without getting muddy. It’s not animalic, but the coriander gives it an almost skin-like touch that sometimes smells dirty, the only dark note that might be off-putting if the floral fades. Overall, it’s soft, enjoyable up close, without being overwhelming or masking body odor. Perfect for sleeping in, the gym, or the office. It reacts well in heat. It feels encapsulated: at the one-hour mark, it rebirths with citrus notes, like you reapplied it. Pity it doesn’t last longer, but better little and good than much and bad. Do you know a jasmine that lasts? Let me know 👍
Top quality. Smells elegant and refined, very masculine. The downside is performance: average-to-low projection and it fades after two hours. Longevity is better; it lasts hours on skin and days on clothes. Note: I have an old batch, so there might be reformulations that usually lower quality.
