Descripción

Green Lover by Lolita Lempicka is a spicy aromatic fragrance for men, launched in 2019. The nose behind this creation is Maïa Lernout. The top notes combine green mandarin and pepper; the heart reveals gin, mint, and juniper berries; while the base notes settle on Madagascar vanilla and musk.

I tried this new fragrance at a perfumery and loved it. Sweet, in the Lolita Lempicka line, but with a citrus-green opening and a powerful vanilla base. I sprayed it on my wrist to see its development and couldn’t stop smelling it, so I bought it. It’s addictive!

  • Finally, something without anise in this house; it pleasantly surprised me. It evolves, which is almost impossible with designer perfumes nowadays. It opens with musk, pepper, and a subtle citrus; then the pepper fades, revealing a mentholated vanilla with a delicious bitterness, surely from the gin. It ends in a vanilla-musk finish that could be unisex. It lasts a long time: about 8 hours at full performance, and still noticeable after 16 hours close to the skin. At some point, it reminds me of Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme; while I like its aroma, it feels intrusive and fatiguing to me, so I recommend trying it before buying. This proposal truly surprised me, and I appreciate that it stands out from the ‘Invictus’ clones filling the shelves.

  • It sits somewhere between deceptive freshness and synthetic sweetness; I didn’t like it at all—it smelled like a Chinese air freshener.

  • It sits somewhere between deceptive freshness and synthetic sweetness; I didn’t like it at all—it smelled like cheap Chinese air freshener.

  • What a novelty for Lolita Lempicka to launch a masculine scent that breaks away from their typical anise and spiced style; Green Lover is fresh, aquatic, and natural, yet with a hidden, elegant sweetness, nothing as loud as other scents from the house. It has hints of vanilla, sweet orange, and fresh pepper, all mixed to look like a green water with surprises. It’s more of a daytime scent than a nighttime one.

Introducing myself since this is my first review of an essence. I wish I had a more trained nose to dissect a perfume, but I’m incapable of detecting more than one or two notes at the start. Plus, my skin is tougher than a rhino’s, so the longevity and projection of many perfumes are negligible on me. I sprayed a sample, and at first, it smelled sweet, more gourmand than citrus or green, though with imagination, I think those notes appear after 15 or 20 minutes. Now, after 90 minutes in 30-degree heat, my partner—who smells better than me—only detects it at arm’s length. It didn’t disgust me, but I would definitely not buy it.

  • I didn’t like it at all. On my skin, I only detect anise, and it gave me a headache. That said, the scent clings to your skin and nose, so at least it seems to have good longevity. But I don’t like the aroma, it doesn’t develop, and I don’t perceive the notes.

  • I absolutely hated it. On my skin, it just smells like anise and gives me a headache. Honestly, the scent clings to the skin and my nose, so it seems to last, but I don’t like the aroma, it doesn’t evolve, and I can’t perceive any other notes.

This EDT is a freshness and flavor bomb for summer, suitable for day or night. I picked it up for the notes and because Cecilia Rubio recommended it on her channel. It’s a top unisex scent: it feels more intense on men and softer on women, letting that luxury vanilla shine. The gin is the cherry on top. Highly recommended 👍

  • María Jacqueline

This EDT is brutally rich and fresh, perfect for summer day or night. I picked it up for the notes and because Cecilia Rubio recommended it on her channel. It’s a great unisex: more intense on men and softer on women, highlighting that luxurious vanilla. The gin note is my favorite. Highly recommended 👍

  • I’ve had it since yesterday, and it’s a curious scent, very much in the Lempicka style. It smells fresh and herbal, like a mint and vanilla ice cream. My first impression is positive, though I need to wear it a few more times to get a clear idea of its evolution. It has a subtle projection but great longevity; in my case, I can still smell it after 12 hours.

  • A unisex with a citrus opening, herbal heart, and a sweet vanilla finish typical of Lempicka. I find it super versatile: fresh enough for hot weather, but I’d wear it all year round. Great for daytime, pleasant, and very original within the collection. I love that it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and comes in recycled packaging. I recommend it 100%—even more so if you’re a woman!

  • A unisex fragrance that opens with citrus, moves through a herbal heart, and closes sweetly with those classic Lempicka vanillas. I think it’s super versatile: perfect for hot weather thanks to its fresh, herbal vibe, but I’d wear it year-round. It’s daytime-appropriate, pleasant, and feels very original within the Lolita lineup. I love that it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and comes in recycled packaging. I recommend it 100%, and even more so if you’re a woman!

  • It’s exactly a blend of LolitaLand and Mandorlo di Sicilia by Aqva di Parma. It’s beautiful, I love it, very rich and long-lasting.

  • Caramelized sweetness with some herb that I don’t mind. But… it leans feminine unisex. Strange opening: candied mandarin with an herbal touch (not mint), then vanilla with an undefined dulce de leche. Finishes with dirty vanilla. I don’t detect the gin; in Argentina, it’s on the verge of extinction in cities. Lasts a long time, over 6 hours, with projection for a couple of hours. It’s right at the edge of the sweet vanilla I tolerate. I gave it to my mom who wears YSL Opium; it’s not similar but has that slightly heavy vibe. I don’t rule out using it to feel cheerful and spread good humor. It’s jovial. Guys and girls will like it. Conclusion: not my style, but I’m not regretting the price. It’s a pleasant olfactory experience to share.

I’m a fan of the first Au Masculin. This Green Lover has things I like and things I don’t. I love the opening and heart, but I’d prefer it if the synthetic, heavy vanilla wasn’t there from the start. Still, I applaud the unconventional scents.

  • Didn’t like it at first, but it won me over gradually. Now it’s one of my favorites. Good sillage and acceptable longevity.

  • TonyStarFragance

Masculine Lolita Lempicka that could work as unisex. Opens herbal and spicy, but soon the gin comes out with juniper berries and a touch of mint. The vanilla appears quickly, mixed with a gin tonic and an herbal base. The dry-down vanilla is very heavy for me. Lasts quite a bit with good projection for the first 3-4 hours. I use it in spring and autumn; in summer the artificial vanilla feels heavy, and in winter it lacks punch. Unisex, different from the usual, good performance for temperate weather.

  • I’m a woman and I use it more than my sister with LolitaLand. It’s similar, but less intensely sweet. Yes, it’s very sweet with synthetic vanilla and gin, plus a hint of mint. On a man, it looks more original. The longevity is incredible and the price is spectacular, though it’s tiring for daily wear. Perfect for cold nights.

  • fragranceshot

Too much vanilla. I don’t get why it’s called ‘Green Lover’ if you can’t detect the green note. It’s not bad, but I expected something else. I need to figure out what to use it for.

  • I’m a woman and I use this more than its Lolitaland sister, which I find very similar but less extremely sweet. Yes, it’s sweet, very sweet; you can tell the synthetic vanilla and gin, with very little mint. I see it as more original on a man than on a woman. The longevity is brutal and the price is spectacular. However, it’s an aroma that gets tiring for daily wear; more appropriate for cool nights.

  • My husband wore it and I thought he’d put on LolitaLand. They’re similar, but this one is greener and more citrusy; the original is sweeter vanilla. The downside is it doesn’t last long; I need to reapply after 4 hours.

  • Reminds me of Ani, but with lower quality and projection. Smells like synthetic green vanilla, probably due to the mint. Don’t buy it blindly.

  • Luis Manuel howley

Top pick for spring-summer: that ‘wow’ factor keeps me hooked. It relaxes me instantly and I highly recommend it.

  • Críticodeperfumes

It’s not a bad fragrance, but it just doesn’t quite work for me because the fresh green notes mixed with the sweet vanilla are very noticeable. At first, it reminds me of mint gum, but it doesn’t evolve much, and the combination of sweet and green doesn’t sit well with me; maybe it’s the gin note that clashes. Also, I feel it’s quite synthetic. The longevity and projection were pretty good, around 5-6 hours; I consider it unisex.

  • Victortor

Interesting quality-price ratio. Fresh, sparkling, fun with a touch of vanilla. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel… but I think it’s well-made enough. It opens citrusy and vibrant; I feel very little mint, detect the vanilla tone, and sense the gin undertone. I see it as a fresh-green-vanilla fusion. For the price, it’s great. I like wearing it to the office on days when you want to smell different. It performs surprisingly well; 6-7 hours feels more than enough. I see it as quite youthful, even for middle age. In short, a fun, affordable fragrance that performs amazingly well, and you don’t wear it with any pretensions.

  • NICOLASPF97

In my experience, it has an alcoholic opening with a slight bitter orange note. The mint is very present, and after three minutes, the vanilla starts to wrap around the composition, resulting in a mentholated, slightly green-fruity scent with vanilla. Good performance, strong projection for the first two hours then it drops, lasting about 7 hours on skin, which is very good for the price.

  • Ignacio Bravo

You can smell the gin and it smells like Tic Tac. A good option for summer nights: slightly mentholated and fresh, with a sweet vanilla touch. Pleasant. At seven hours, it still smells 100% like Tic Tac, and by twelve, there it is—it just won’t leave.

  • Ignacio Bravo

I perceive gin and the idea of smelling like Tic Tacs. Seems like a good option for summer nights, a bit fresh and mentholated with the sweetness of vanilla. Pleasant. At seven hours it smells like Tic Tacs, and at twelve it’s still there, refusing to leave…

  • WineAndRoses

I’m buying this for my future husband (and I’ll use it too, haha); it gives me pleasure to smell it. Citrus, refreshing, and vanilla all at once? How long did I spend trying to decipher it… it has me hooked. No doubt, it’s striking. It stands out if you wear it because it’s an uncommon aroma ⭐️💃

  • Fresh citrus opening with the green note of mint. Then it transforms into a softened Lolitaland. The evolution from fresh to warm is interesting. I see it as unisex-feminine. I got it at an excellent price, and since Lolitaland wants to be my signature scent, this is ideal for summer.

  • In terms of quality-price-quantity, it’s brutal. The opening is explosive with mandarin and pepper, quickly turning into a gin-tonic that gives way to vanilla. In a sea of saturated aquatic scents, this one stands out. The bottle is gorgeous and you get 100ml for a great price. Long-lasting performance for an EDT; I even noticed it on my clothes the next day. Bought it blind, but don’t follow my example; I think this profile might not suit everyone.

  • Coolmartini

I have a green blazer that I love wearing with it. It’s not for everyone; it has a fresh combination with a hint of vanilla and that gin kick. I haven’t gotten any compliments, but I really like it.

  • diegomagadan

I bought the 50ml blind on Amazon. To the point: herbal/citrus opening, vanilla and musk base. I don’t detect any gin at all. Lasts about 6 hours on skin, with poor sillage and projection; only the first hour projects beyond the wearer. Totally unisex with feminine nuances. Reminded me of Armani Code Profumo at the start and Cacharel Nemo as it dried down. I liked it quite a bit. Not sure if I’ll buy another; I’d wear it whenever it’s under 82 degrees (28°C), because the vanilla is what lasts longest and gets unpleasant in the heat.

  • From Lolitaland and Oh Ma Biche, this is perhaps the most unisex of the bunch. Not as dry as the other, nor as sweet as the first. It’s sparkling, fresh with a bitter twist. Perfect for a hassle-free summer, but it hasn’t blown my mind or smelled like Ani as people claim. Performance is weak, and it lacks the cool bottle of its sisters (I guess because it’s for men, how boring to be a gentleman).
