Raised in Paris and spending her summers in the south of France, Maïa Lernout developed a love of nature from a very young age. As she grew up, she was surrounded by artistic and free-thinking women, including her great-grandmother, who studied at L’École des Beaux-Arts in the 19th century, and her mother, who was a painter. These influences fostered Lernout’s creative spirit and her appreciation for beauty.

Driven by her passion for fragrances, Maïa Lernout studied perfumery at the renowned ISIPCA (Institut Supérieur International du Parfum, de la Cosmétique et de l’Aromatique Alimentaire) in France. This education gave her a solid foundation in the art and science of perfume creation.

Maïa Lernout has built her career by working with major brands such as Burberry, Davidoff, Elie Saab, Givenchy, Kenzo, Lolita Lempicka, Molton Brown, Nina Ricci, Premiere Note, Shiseido and Siberian Wellness. Her experience with natural raw materials and her distinctive, elegant and modern compositions have earned her recognition and respect in the industry.

Lernout’s approach to creating perfumes is rooted in her love of nature, her passion for expressing joy through luminous floral fragrances, and her admiration for beauty. She is drawn to the intersection of art and science in perfumery, combining creativity with discipline in her work.

Her fragrance Flora Luminare, for example, pays tribute to the Tiaré flower from Tahiti, which produces a radiant and uncommon oil. As with many of her creations, this scent tells the story of a flourishing paradise bathed in a luminous and languid morning light.
