When your signature fragrance finds you. I never would have even considered this masterpiece due to my phobia of sweetness, roses, or incense. But after testing it on my wrist, I thought I’d never want to smell anything else again. It has all the listed notes: a clean, non-animalic oud present from the start, respectfully watching as the mandarin, floral touch, green patchouli, and vanilla blend with a pure white incense. The box with ink dripping down to the bottle references a passage from Fitzgerald’s ‘Tender is the Night’, which increases my affection for it. Projection and longevity are spectacular, leaving no one indifferent, with that cloud of calm, perfectly sweet and woody. Totally unisex; on a man, it would amplify the delicious incense and oud even more. Get rid of your prejudices; maybe your favorite is looking for you, too.
A perfume needs quality, it needs to be rich, last long, and project without leaving anyone indifferent. Every time I wear it, everyone asks what I’m wearing. It’s totally unisex and perfect for any season. Be careful with the sprays, it’s super potent. Unfortunately, the price has gone up and they no longer run promotions on the official website; I used to grab it at 50% off and they just don’t do that anymore. I think everyone should try it; it’s a totally recommended blind buy because I can’t imagine anyone not liking it, except those who prefer soft perfumes with no projection and no personality.
Smells exactly like Another Oud by JHAG, I guess because oud always carries that distinct note, but they dry down very similarly. I don’t sense much freshness and was hoping for more; there’s no real evolution, just a clean oud that’s a bit invasive with hints of rose and patchouli. At least I bought a decant; I wouldn’t add this to my collection. I live in a cold climate and it doesn’t give me that enveloping feeling you look for when it’s below freezing.
