I was planning to buy it online because reviews said it was very sweet and caramelized—my favorite aromas. Fortunately, I found it in a store and decided to try it. Total disappointment: the opening is intense and citrusy, giving me a headache. As it settles, it softens but remains very synthetic, smelling like soap and a caramel palette. I hated it, it caused nausea, and I had to wash it off, though the sillage remained. Glad I tried it before spending money on something I’d never use.
I tried it years ago because my sister bought it, and recently she gifted it to me. To my taste, it can be very sweet, but I’ve enjoyed it because I’m used to it and I’m fascinated by sweet scents. Although it’s not among my favorites.
The bottle is cute; if not for the plastic center, it would be perfect for the vanity. The tender, youthful aesthetic is appreciated. The scent is fresh, sweet, and simple—decent, without the typical harsh alcohol hit of cheap perfumes. Synthetic but tolerable. A summer option or for girls aged 15 to 23, appropriate for daily wear. Citrus opening with a sweet base. Low to medium longevity.
I owned it; it’s an affordable version of Hypnose. Smells very sweet, like vanilla and caramel.
Sweet caramel notes that leave a trail like Thierry Mugler’s Angel, almost mentholated. Those who love Angel will adore this Agatha Ruiz de la Prada scent, and vice versa. Both have class, are unique, and elegant, though ‘The Kiss’ is much softer and doesn’t last as long as Angel (24 hours on my skin). Unfortunately, both smell like cough syrup to me, so I don’t like them.
Very sensual, sweet yet soft. The vanilla and caramel are subtle because the blend is perfect. I love it, and the bottle is gorgeous.
Few perfumes have displeased me as much as this ‘Kiss’ by AGP. I was looking for something accessible and daily; the packaging was gorgeous and the notes on Fragrantica made me dream. ERROR. The opening is suffocating: acidic, synthetic citrus that made me cough, like powdered orange juice. As it dries, synthetic and poorly executed caramel appears, though still enjoyable. It’s a pity it doesn’t last long; then vanilla and a woody base emerge. It smells very similar to Hypnose, which I also dislike. It becomes matronly and musty. On the plus side: good sillage and longevity, plus a beautiful bottle. I wouldn’t buy it for twice the price, but if gifted, I’d use it out of obligation. My respect to those who like it, but it’s not my cup of tea. 3/10.
This was my first perfume at age 13 or 14; I had two small bottles. Friends and classmates wore it, influencing me until I was tempted. It’s sweet and rich, though I’m not sure if I’d buy it again. I’d happily accept it as a gift and use it without issues.
Rich and sparkling citrus notes at first, followed by exquisite vanilla and caramel. Perfect for a spring walk by the coast. Big sillage and top-tier longevity. After showering, a sophisticated musk emerges, reminiscent of Narciso Rodriguez For Her hidden within the sweetness. Great value for the price, right?
Sweet but not overpowering. A cheerful delight suitable for girls and older women alike. Very rich with a beautiful bottle at a great price.
A sweet, powdery, and dry synthetic; it smells cheap but lasts quite a bit on the skin… to my regret. I bought it with one of my first paychecks when I was very young and I didn’t like it at all; on my skin pH it smells like it’s meant for a mature woman, so I gifted it to my mother.
I don’t dislike it, but it also doesn’t quite please me. While caramel and vanilla stand out in its accords, on my skin it smells mainly of incense, with lemon touches, and its sweetness is very subtle; it’s not a youthful perfume. It lasts about 8 hours on clothes, but the sillage disappears in about 3. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t repurchase it.
I used it as a teenager and repurchased it. I’m not sure if I’d like it as much now. I remember it as sweet and cheerful, with decent longevity.
It’s a perfume I’ve been using for years; it brings back very good memories. It’s both citrusy and sweet, works just as well during the day as at night, though it’s a bit synthetic. Great value for money.
My favorite from Agatha! I’ll always repurchase it; it’s a staple in my collection.
It’s a delicious perfume, not sophisticated, but it has a quite particular smell. It works well all year round and is one of my all-time favorites: sweet, good value, and an addictive scent for my taste.
My longest and most honest review. When I was a teenager, at 14, it was a fragrance all the cool girls in my school used. I remember saving up a lot for one of my birthdays to buy it; from then on, all my sweetest memories, the fact that I was a virgin, the sweetness and innocence. It was beautiful, and the 200ml bottle lasted me forever. Later, I wasn’t that interested in sweet fragrances until this year (2020), because I realized I wanted to relive certain aspects of my life tied to not maturing and feeling that sweet essence. I understand that many of you here find it cloying, sweet, and synthetic, but what’s wrong with that? Today, at 22, I remember it just like in those days. Even if my skin pH has changed so it doesn’t last as long on me, it still brings a beautiful vibe. In previous years, I was very basic regarding my tastes; I only used VS body splashes, which I’m already tired of, but this time I was really excited and bought two 200ml bottles plus a decant of this scent, and I loved it. Remember, it’s not a perfume, more like an EDT; it’s more common. In my case, it was hard to find since it’s a discontinued fragrance. I spoke with the Agatha Ruiz staff, and they told me they discontinued it. Hopefully this helps.
What a lovely review! Exactly, it seems this Agatha Ruiz de la Prada line fills us with nostalgia, taking us back to the past. I also, during quarantine, bought perfumes I used to own and liked. I didn’t want to discover anything new; I just wanted to transport myself back to the past and to happy moments before the lockdown and COVID; the perfumery world was a great way to do that. Now what scares me is that you say it’s discontinued in Argentina. In Chile it’s still sold very cheaply, but if it’s discontinued there, it’s likely it will be here too. From that perspective, I’ll have to save up to buy the ‘Beso’… that scent is so lovely, like all the discontinued Agatha antiques (imagine, ‘Oh la la’, ‘Corazón’…). It’s not a boom in the perfumery world, but it’s a scent that connects me to my 12-year-old self on days of asados and swimming pools. That’s valuable.
To me, it’s simply the cheap version of Lancôme’s Hypnose: it’s the clone of that treasure. Of course, given the price, its longevity is acceptable and the sillage is small; it’s not intrusive or invasive like others. I keep it because it was a gift from my mom, and you can’t reject something from her, you just have to appreciate it even if it’s not your taste.
I like the scent, but it doesn’t really wow me. This happens with almost everything I’ve tried from Agatha Ruiz de la Prada: they’re rich, but I feel they lack naturalness; they sound very synthetic. Since they’re imported here, they’re reasonably priced, but they just don’t convince me. If I get one as a gift or buy it myself, I use it because I don’t throw away perfumes, but I don’t repurchase. It’s not about the price; sometimes I find cheap gems, like some from Natura, that are infinitely better and don’t sound artificial. From Agatha, I only remember one limited edition (I think it was called ‘Oh La La al amour,’ gift-box style packaging) that I did repurchase and didn’t feel was synthetic. ‘Beso’ is sweet and rich, but on my skin it dries out quite a bit, with vanilla and some citrus notes; it’s simple. I don’t detect the floral notes, and it gets a bit tiring. I feel some of them are very teen-oriented; I’m over 30 now and I don’t identify with what I used in my 20s. That other perfume didn’t feel as childish to me. ‘Beso,’ being so powdery, might appeal more to mature women. It’s very feminine on my skin. Maybe the new releases from the brand have improved, but I wouldn’t buy blindly.
Decent longevity for the price and a nice sillage. It’s sweet, starts fruity, moves to intense caramel, and ends with woody notes. I don’t like it, but girls who adore sweet and woody scents will surely love it.
I used this for years in my teens and loved it. I bought it again ten years later and hated it; it made me cringe. It wasn’t what I remembered; the sweet caramel scent now smells super synthetic. I don’t know if the formula changed or my sense of smell, what a pity.
Exquisite perfume. The downside is that because it’s so cheap, it’s well-known, but its longevity is impressive. A friend uses it and two sprays last her all day until night; just walking by, you can smell it. I’d use it if it weren’t for the fact that she’s worn it for years. It smells like a lollipop… delicious.
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada’s Kiss is a deep, sweet woody fragrance, with the zing of lemon and the beauty of flowers.
As sweet as caramel. I love it; it’s one of the best low-cost options. To me, it’s gourmand, smelling of caramel and fruit. It has good projection and longevity. I’ve used it to exhaustion, and it’s become one of my top picks thanks to all the compliments I received.
Very sweet, cloying, youthful… but it gives me a headache. Definitely a no. Only for those who love strong sweetness. Obviously, every nose is different.
Reminds me of my mother, a sweet citrus.
This was my teen perfume; I have so much affection for it <3. I don't remember if it lasted long, but it must have been basic given the price. It's discontinued now, what a shame. I'd recommend it to teens because it's sweet and rich <3.
Delicious scent, caramel with citrus notes. It brings back childhood memories, and as an adult, I still love it. 🍭 I think it suits ages 15 to 25 best.
Beautiful and simple perfume, smells like an open bag of candy—the scent we all know. Delicious, cheap, and perfect for adding sweetness to another fragrance, ideal for a youthful touch. Highly recommended, I’d love to try it on someone else.
I had two perfumes by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Corazón and Wow Girl, and I liked them quite a bit. Today I bought this Beso perfume, and something weird is happening—I don’t quite feel it closing the deal. I like it, but there’s something strange, like cherry syrup. It’s feminine and sweet, but I don’t feel innocent about it. This is more nocturnal, more for conquering. Sweet syrup, citrus mandarin, and a hint of bitter wood. Longevity is a breath.
My absolute favorite; I love it so much. It’s delicious, sweet like a rich caramel candy; that’s the note I feel the most and it fascinates me. Caramel and vanilla with fruity touches can never go wrong.
It’s too similar to Hypnose, which is my favorite, especially in the opening. I love it!
I owned it and ended up gifting it because I just didn’t like the scent at all. It’s a sweet fragrance due to the caramel and vanilla, with some citrus and fruity touches. It has moderate longevity (several hours), so you don’t need to reapply much. If you like perfumes with caramelized notes, this one will suit you well.
One of the worst smells ever. I tried it in a store, and after a few minutes, it started smelling like McDonald’s soap. Horrible.
I LOVE IT. I wore it all through my teenage years; it’s a shame it’s been discontinued. Does anyone know if Ágatha’s Kiss is similar? Thanks!
I spent years looking for this perfume; it was discontinued in Argentina, but I fell in love with the bottle and the good memories it brings from my teenage years and some amazing summer vacations. I saw it by chance and didn’t hesitate for a second—it went straight home, and it was the last bottle. Yes, it reminds me of Lancôme’s Hypnose; it smells like citrus fruits with caramel. It’s the quintessential sweet 2000s perfume, very fruity. In my opinion, it works all year round except on very hot days. I’m in love and happy to have it in my collection. It’s cheerful, uncomplicated, perfect for daily wear, sparkling, with moderate longevity and sillage.
Finally bought it yesterday, and it’s pure nostalgia—a fresh breeze straight from the 2000s. The sweet vanilla and caramel notes pair perfectly with the freshness of the green mandarin (you can see the real notes on their website). It’s fresh and delicious, a scent that transports me back to the past just by wearing it; it’s very special and unique. However, it doesn’t last very long; that sparkling opening fades once it dries down, staying bright for an hour before dropping to a minimal freshness with just vanilla. It’s versatile but short-lived on my skin. Dare to try it in stores, there are always testers, and I couldn’t resist! 10 out of 10.
I tried this in my teens without knowing much about notes, just enjoying the sweet and mysterious vibe. Now that I’m an adult, I notice how it has evolved; it took me a while to adjust to the woody side because the caramel and vanilla are so heavy—they even give me a headache with that sweetness, even though I love sweet scents. It achieves a good balance with the wood and citrus/floral touches. It took me some time to reconcile with the wood/vanilla combo, but overall, the weight of the other notes, my own experience, and the longevity leave me feeling positive.
I have a huge soft spot for this perfume. It was my first scent since I was little, and I wore it all the way through my teenage years before trying anything else. It’s super sweet but not over the top. While it’s not the best of the cheap youthful fragrances, it definitely has its own charm.
