Marketed as unisex, I feel it’s unisex, hehe. It’s a fragrance that effortlessly pleases both the most coquettish woman and the most conservative man. The green notes dominate completely. The only downside is that its longevity isn’t the best (it didn’t last even the usual amount for me: 3 hours on the wrist), and look, I pay too much attention to that detail. But its scent is very pleasant and fresh.
A true ‘water’: fresh, sweet, warm, and a very good creation by Cartier…
Durability depends on the person. In my case, it lasted all day and soaked into the clothes. A very good, soft, and delicate fragrance. Ideal for casual use. Oh, one more thing: its scent is more feminine than masculine.
I’m fascinated by this perfume. I don’t see it as unisex, but very feminine. On my skin, a delicious violet aroma dominates, with hints of rose and green notes, totally sparkling, not cloying, and very elegant. It’s very Cartier, but lighter and more versatile than the brand’s classic dense scents. It lasts 6 or 7 hours, though I wish it were longer. It’s one of my favorites.
Delicious aroma. But it doesn’t last very long on my skin; it’s true that it lasts longer on other people.
A scent I always recognize on the street, mostly on women. It’s recognizable, fresh, yet pleasant.
On blotter, it starts sweet with bergamot and violet. After two hours on skin, the violet and musk are doing well; on blotter, the bergamot lingers. By three hours, I notice soft cedar and faint musk. By eight hours, I barely smell it on skin, but on blotter, the violet and musk remain. If it’s hot, the heart phase passes quickly. Moderate trail for three hours, then skin scent until it fades. Ideal for casual outings. Balanced between masculine and feminine, even for someone ‘old school’ like me.
Eau de Cartier was my 2009 summer in Concentrée form. Fresh and luminous, it shines in its trail and lasts all day in the heat, even holding up through a stoic autumn. Opens with a very clear yuzu, followed by natural violet and lavender, closing with patchouli, amber, and cedar. To me, it’s more bitter-sweet and dry, while my mom sees it as an enveloping, opulent luxury. A very good fragrance in this version.
One of my favorites: the violet and musk notes are very noticeable. It has hard-to-define traits regarding whether it’s for men or women, and on my skin, the scent doesn’t change much. It lasts a long time, about 8 hours, leaving a soft, subtle trail. It’s good for daytime, but my ideal is for late afternoon or night.
A romantic and very subtle scent.
An incredible find. I have to admit I’ve never been attracted to unisex fragrances, but this one is delicious. To my nose and those who’ve tried it, it’s purely feminine. Fresh, sweet, soft, and citrusy. It lasts quite a bit on me; I don’t need to reapply during the day. Rich sillage, attractive aroma. The violets are delicious. 100% recommended.
Excellent!!!! So rich….
Very good perfume… excellent fixation and sillage. Fresh but with its own personality, different from many others. I’ve bought it three times.
You know there are women who look gorgeous and seductive in a simple white shirt? This perfume is exactly that: classic, simple, elegant, and chic. Perfect for high temperatures and free time.
This fragrance gives me a love-hate relationship. Let me explain: it’s unisex, but I feel it leans more feminine. When I say love-hate, it’s that sometimes it works great with me and other times it doesn’t, due to that feminine vibe. That said, I love smelling this Eau de Cartier on a girl; I think it’s perfect for the kind of young, vain girl.
Delicious! So fresh! It makes me feel comfortable; it’s very fresh and invigorating. It lasts all day despite being a delicate scent.
Very feminine, low projection but long-lasting. It evokes wet earth and flowers, especially violet, which reminds me, though not exactly, of Boss Bottled Night, which I also don’t like. It’s fresher and more distinctive than that. It’s not a bad fragrance, but it’s not for me.
Citrus, fresh, and rich for hot summers. I don’t detect lavender, but I do feel the full power of coriander, bergamot, and a touch of cedar. Although it doesn’t last long or have much sillage, it’s a good perfume that sticks to the skin. The trick: spray it on your clothes, and that’s when it lasts longer.
An aroma that plays between unisex and slightly feminine; a sophisticated, attentive man would wear it well. It’s chic and delicate, perfect for making a great impression when you’re approached. Honestly, I’ve smelled colognes that project more, but its strong suit is that elegance and refinement it exudes. Maybe the EDP has more power. What’s interesting is that it gives an incredible sense of comfort and security, like talking to someone who knows you well and you trust. I’d use it only in spring-summer to feel clean and fresh on hot days. If the EDP or Concentré smell the same but with more strength, it could be a very interesting purchase.
A fragrance that didn’t enchant me like the other Cartier ones; it was very light, soft, almost skin-scent, and after an hour it was just my skin. The Concentré has slightly better fixation, but I think its price is overvalued for what it offers. It has fresh Yuzu notes, green touches, earthy hints, and good-quality vetiver; the scent is very pleasant, but without fixation, the charm is lost. In an hour and a half, pff, the magic disappeared. Here’s the issue with fixation and trail; if the fragrance had more power, it would be a different story.
Excellent scent. Although I’m not a fan of citrus, this body water is a very aromatic and woody citrus that, once applied, matches Jerry’s description: it makes you feel great comfort and divine security. When I use it, I detect cilantro, lavender, and citrus notes; as it dries, it blends with woody notes. I consider it very high quality because it lasts 12 hours on my skin, which sometimes even regular perfumes can’t do. I found the 200ml bottle at an excellent price. For its longevity and scent, it’s worth having.
Very rich, soft, slightly feminine, refined, and classy… bergamot, a bit of cilantro, grass like freshly cut lawn, violets… A wonder for spring and summer days. I prefer the Intense. (The first bottle I had back in 2006 lasted much longer than the one now…) 7/10.
Even though it’s unisex, I think it suits men better; on them, it’s rich and becomes much softer on the skin. That said, I really like it for its freshness.
Although this unisex has a simple composition with violets, roses, and green notes that sound clean and crisp, I really like it. It’s wonderful and simple. I don’t mind that it leans more feminine because, in my opinion, Eau de Cartier is very well crafted and adapts perfectly to the desert climate of my city. I wish it lasted longer and had a more noticeable trail, but I don’t lose hope that they’ll reformulate it someday to improve a bit (dreaming is allowed).
I’m not an expert on notes, but I know it’s very citrusy, and since I discovered it, I’ve loved it. It’s my go-to scent for work to feel confident, strong, and special. I hate typical sugary and floral feminine scents, so this unisex was the best find. It’s elegant, clean, fresh, with presence and projection, but never cloying or annoying. It’s perfect for work meetings to send the message that I’m not a damsel in distress, but quite the opposite.
A classic for sure. Twenty years after its creation, it remains a scent I enjoy on my skin; it brings stability and well-being when we want to be at peace. Its citrus blend with musk is of very high quality. Maybe the longevity isn’t amazing, but it’s not unpleasant. Reapplying this good and affordable fragrance is worth it.
It’s intriguing; you can detect cilantro right at the start. Sometimes it smells like soap, but it’s much more complex. It’s pleasant, with green and calming notes. I use it to focus on my studies or work, and it lasts about six hours.
I’ve been stealing it from my mom for years—it’s her signature scent and she always buys it back (though she uses it less lately). Unintentionally, my cousins (all guys) would spray it to go out, and it smelled even better on them. Maybe they reformulated it (my mom’s bottle is old), but on us girls, it lasts hours and projects so much that everyone in the hallway always knows I stole it 🤣. It has a fresh, summery sweetness that isn’t cloying. I’m definitely getting my own bottle now 🥰.
Cartier Eau is super subtle, perfect when you’re looking for peace and good vibes, but it’s not meant to turn heads; it’s very understated. I prefer its flanker, Essence de Bois.
It’s clean, fresh, and elegant. How much I wished it was more long-lasting and projected more. I bought it in the early 2000s; I stopped smelling it after 2 hours, however, other people could still smell it more than a meter away. Later, I bought the flanker Concentré, which is greener and more aromatic. A few years ago, I repurchased the Eau de Cartier to have it in my collection. In short, it’s a light, talcy, slightly woody citrus fragrance. I don’t perceive the violet.
A fulfilling fragrance, very good scent, and everyone likes it; for a unisex, it gets you lots of compliments.
A fragrance I like, but… it doesn’t make much of an impression. Honestly, I thought it would smell better since I’d heard so much about it. It didn’t disappoint me, but it wasn’t what I expected.
I have a weakness for unisex citrus; I love this scent because it feels different, totally away from what I don’t like. I love its personality, almost chypre. It makes me feel secure and empowered. When I wore it, people would ask what perfume it was; it’s not very common. I’ve always perceived it as somewhat herbal, maybe due to the violet leaves. I’ll buy it again, hoping they haven’t reformulated it.
I used to wear this fragrance; my father wore it, so it has a nostalgic feeling. Its dry-down is so crystal clear that it conveys purity; it also reminds me a bit of baby colognes.
A forgotten delight. Fresh, light, and clean with talcy notes that evaporate quickly. I understand the complaints about reduced performance, but not everything has to be a beast, especially in heat when you need something bright that doesn’t overwhelm; this perfume achieves that. On hard skin, about 3 hours, and on clothes, about 5, quite good for a citrus this rich, plus you can always reapply. My only observation is that the violet and lavender can make it smell a bit vintage and associate it with someone older, but even if you’re in your 20s, it’s still a wonderful option.
A fragrance for all ages and genders, or maybe I’m exaggerating, but I can see myself and my grandma wearing this. It’s very relaxing and delicious; at first, it hooked me, and I didn’t hesitate to buy it. I don’t know how yuzu smells because I’ve never heard of that citrus, but besides knowing bergamot and cilantro, I can assure you it’s a sparkling trail without irritating the nose. It’s fresh, herbal, yet sweet citrus, reminding me of a Sprite, though more… I don’t know, elegant, or like an old, icy Sprite. At first, it smells like cold lemon tea bag with a little sugar and mineral water. Over time, it settles into something floral and fresh, smelling of violet and herbal, keeping its initial essence but becoming soapy. In the end, everything fades, leaving traces of cedar. It’s a very unisex dry-down, CK One style, which makes sense since it’s two unisex scents from the late 90s and early 2000s; that was the trend, a talcy woody note with touches of Eau de Cartier. From start to finish, it’s a trance of relaxation; I’d wear it just for that (maybe my signature scent). A classic proposal left behind for some reason, but I don’t mind as long as I’ve known this rich aroma and I’m happy. It doesn’t overwhelm or bother anyone (in my opinion); it’s quite citrusy and flashy but herbal and talcy enough not to be overpowering. Almost perfectly balanced. Petaculah!
I agree, it smells like a delicious sugared tea. Somewhat talcy but with a trail that caresses you. I notice it’s slightly effeminate and citrusy without losing the heart florals. I liked it and would buy it again. A solid 8.
A citrus scent with a touch of talc. I’ve never smelled yuzu, but the scent most Latin to me is lime. I love it; it smells clean and tranquil, reminding me a lot of Christmas times. I use it to freshen up my house, and it really smells beautiful.
The cleanest and most beautiful citrus I’ve smelled in years, a hidden gem and forgotten treasure. Overshadowed by the hype of other perfumes that are just false propaganda, the truth is a masterpiece. If it had the Louis Vuitton name, it would be the best in its class; it gets lost among the excessive advertising of others that don’t even come close to its heels. The freshness of the lemon and that clean talc are incredible, transporting you to a very pure waterfall. 10 out of 10.
