At first, I thought my nose was playing tricks on me because it still smelled like Narciso Rodríguez for Her, but checking the notes revealed they share musk, vetiver, and amber. Three key notes from ‘She Wood’ are there, plus jasmine, neroli, and lime that recall orange blossom and bergamot. They’re similar but distinct: not twins, but second cousins. The NR is the sultry one from family photos, while ‘She Wood’ is the friendly one who reminds you with her affable character. I bought it blind because I already own other fragrances from Dsquared2 and Daphne Bugey, and I’m thrilled. It’s fresh without being that typical citrus freshness of cologne; it conveys lightness and makes me feel carefree, ready to handle any situation, perfect for everyday wear. It’s elegant and balanced, a complete package that never misses: a just-right touch of sweet acidity, flowers like violet and neroli, woods of cedar and light vetiver, all combined with amber and musk that I adore. Well-applied, they make you want to keep smelling your wrists. It has creamy moments, good but contained projection, perfect for work, just like its counterpart ‘He Wood,’ giving energy and boosting your mood.
