What an amazing perfume! For being fresh, it’s super elegant; it’s not just another generic cologne, it carries so much class like the rest of the line. The opening is very sharp, but once it dries down, those spices and woods come through, making it unique. I love it.
It’s a fresh, elegant, and very pleasant perfume. Honestly, personally, I’m not a huge fan of citrus fragrances.
Colognes are the best option for summer because they bring freshness and don’t feel heavy in the heat. Declaration Cologne is one of my favorites for this season. I use it after a shower at night to refresh myself and feel clean; it smells great. I pump the dispenser like there’s no tomorrow because the longevity is short, about two hours, but the sillage in the first half hour is noticeable, and then it stays very close to the skin. It’s a very light version of the original that keeps all its DNA while adding freshness.
I couldn’t disagree more with those who say this perfume is for people who lack courage; it’s exquisite but has its moments of use. Very fresh thanks to the citrus and ginger, quite versatile with a touch of elegance. Also, I’d see anyone from 20 to 200 years old wearing it; it’s quite timeless. Longevity is about 6 hours; it’s bottled summer.
A little ugly, soapy, and very timid. Recommended for people who are timid with fragrances.
Declaration Cologne smells great; it has a delicious handling of citrus notes. Although it lacks the olfactory evolution of its parent fragrance, it’s very pleasant to the nose. Among the citrus notes, I detect a lime scent that, along with the spices, makes it very energizing. For me, it’s one of the best Declaration versions, surpassing L’eau which I also like. It works for any season, but its strength is summer. The only flaw is that it fades to the skin very quickly, but the aroma is worth it. For those who like citrus, it’s a great option; for me, it’s one of the best I’ve ever smelled.
Today I tried this masterpiece. Although I prefer the original Declaration (1998), this one is much more complex; far from being lighter, I feel it’s more intense. The showdown between ginger and citrus is truly a spectacle; it deserves a front-row seat. The woody notes barely make an appearance, serving as the referee in this epic battle. It’s a very masculine fragrance (by my standards). As Chimoltrufia said: ‘Why tell them no when the answer is yes?’ hehe. I like it, although I’ll stick with the original. It’s hard for me to be more objective with Cartier.
