My first impression of this fragrance wasn’t really good. A friend sent me a 10ml decant a while back, and I’d say it forced me to wear it; I couldn’t stand it, a hyper-alcoholic opening for my sensitive nose. But late last year I tried it again, and it really changed my perception. I loved it; I felt the sweet roses, a bit powdery, the oud, the spices, and how long it lasts. Impressive! Definitely not for blind buying.
I put some on a hat I’m taking on a trip and I swear it lasted 15 days, and there’s even more left, and you can still smell a bit. Warning: use with moderation. Give this perfume applause if you like roses; don’t skip trying it. It’s night, winter, seduction. Very feminine but with that narcotic atmosphere of the oud, artificial like everything these days, but a good fragrance.
Another excellent Armaf inspiration, based on Tom Ford Noir (I personally think it resembles it about 90%). Not for blind buying. It’s a mysterious, nocturnal, gothic, dark scent… When I first smelled it, I imagined myself in a ‘Interview with the Vampire’ setting. That must be the vibe. Definitely for night use in cold climates, or its performance might be affected. You can really smell the rose, a mature, earthy, dark, black, dry rose—nothing sweet, nothing youthful… Simply perfect. It’s unisex, obviously for gentlemen who enjoy unexpected and uncommon fragrances and are willing to enjoy a powdery rose with sepia tones like an old photograph, wonderfully conjugated with oud wood, saffron, and patchouli. Nothing cloying, very mysterious. For me, a 20/10. One of the best blind buys I’ve made. If you love the gothic, dark, mysterious, decadent, mature, and earthy side of one of the best roses I’ve ever perceived, this is the fragrance.
What an enigmatic, dark, nocturnal, and mysterious perfume; I love it… it reminds me of one I used years ago and wanted to buy again, but it’s discontinued; it was called Ivan & Marzia. I’m happy I can remember its scent through this and have it part of my collection. Club La Nuit has nothing to envy a niche-style perfume in scent, longevity, and sillage, plus the price is excellent and the bottle is imposing. Oh! They call it the black beast. It’s identical to Lattafa’s Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst, what great perfumes.
What an excellent fragrance! Elegant cut, the rose and oud blend perfectly, like a fresh, bright rose. Totally unisex. One of the best I’ve tried this year, high quality, you can tell it’s luxury. 10/10.
Armaf is usually the smart choice for copies of ‘overrated’ niche perfumes at a fair price. They do a good job and sometimes have their own charm. It doesn’t smell exactly like Tom Ford, but there’s nothing to be jealous of. They deserve their reputation and justify the purchase by offering quality for less than a third of the price. Club La Nuit Intense is definitely a rose perfume, but not green, citrus, gourmand, or aquatic. It’s a dark, complicated, sandy rose—an Arab rose that suffers, lives, and has history. Right out of the bottle, bergamot and rose are evident, maybe geranium takes the lead. Geranium chemistry is usually metallic, but here it harmonizes with the creaminess of amber, vanilla tones, and sweet spices. The oud (which they claim) has a honeyed nuance. The oud wood stands out but is moderate, not invasive. Over time, that honeyed/animalic/spicy background takes the spotlight away from the rose, though the floral note never disappears; it’s always present. And here comes the best part: patchouli surrounds the composition from start to finish, giving it that typical ‘earthy’ vibe, but like the oud, it’s well-articulated and moderate, harmonizing with everything. Unlike Tom Ford Noir, I don’t find chocolate or truffle. Armaf doesn’t declare that note, and for me, that’s good because the fragrance would take on a more gourmand tone. If I accept it has a certain sweet liqueur-like quality, I associate it more with a sweet wild berry than truffle. The dry down is interesting: an animalic blend of caraway with sweet vanilla liqueur tones of rose and soft creamy wood. The problem is that while the opening is a bomb, it loses projection quickly. In 2 hours, it weakens quite a bit, but the soft/delicate trail on the skin lasts much longer. Maybe for someone looking for a powerful dark oriental rose, that’s a negative, but for me, it’s fine. It becomes a more intimate perfume without losing complexity. No spices, woods, or pepper overwhelm or become piercing, which I highlight. If you have to dial back the power to achieve this, welcome. The bottle is very heavy and impractical, but you can tell they went all out to make it look sumptuous/expensive. My version is from 2020; I don’t know if there were reformulations. For me, it’s a resounding pass, and I’m not being cheap; it’s just good—the quality is optimal.
A delicious mix of rose, oud, saffron, and white chocolate that appears in the dry down. I love it. The rose isn’t cloying; it’s cool and balances well with the oud, which is what I smell most on application. In the base, vanilla and chocolate dominate. I thought it would be more feminine, but it’s right in the middle. I’ve never heard of Tom Ford Noir, which has truffle, but that’s not here. Scent: 10/10, longevity: 10/10 (over eight hours).
Not an expert, just my humble opinion: it smells like dried rose talcum powder with a hint of incense. It’s a beautiful and elegant fragrance.
It was weird for me; way too strong, but I remembered my mom loves it and she’ll definitely like it. It’s intense with great projection and longevity. It reminds me of the 1956 Estee Lauder Youth Dew opening and dry down. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly.
Read the reviews and bought it anyway, but it’s a total letdown. It smells like nothing, just water. I bought it from the official store, sealed, with an authenticity sticker. After a month, I barely notice a fruity trace that vanishes in a minute. Does this happen to anyone else?
@ulisas, you probably got a fake or had a cold that temporarily ruined your sense of smell; that happened to me. I bought some perfumes online, and when they arrived, they seemed to smell like nothing to me. I got angry and felt cheated until my sense of smell recovered. To be sure it’s not that, have someone else try it; this perfume is truly potent and not for everyone, but once you get used to it, it’s super rich and powdery.
Predominantly soft, powdery rose. Lasts all day. Excellent price-to-quality ratio. Buy two units. Linear but pleasant to the nose.
I bought it blind, like almost all my perfumes, having only read about it. I must say it surprised me: at first, I didn’t like the opening, maybe I only smelled the saffron, but I waited and found a great surprise: a strong, intense, nocturnal rose, nothing sweet or delicate, which doesn’t make it less glamorous; quite the opposite. I loved the dry-down; I sense something boozy or spirituous, and the oud feels wonderful in an intense dance with this dark rose. In short, I adored it. It’s a night scent for a glamorous evening, with great projection and longevity. The price is really economical for the quality, and the packaging is spectacular—the bottle is precious, like a night jewel.
I just fell in love! What beautiful roses! I wear it for every occasion; it’s very versatile. In its dry-down, the rose blends with a non-gourmand vanilla, which is a relief.
Wow… yes, it can be intimidating. It’s potent, dark, woody, and unisex—not for blind buys. It’s like a vase of black roses; I feel like Dracula’s bride when I wear it. Like a vampire, it’s not for daytime use and deserves a black outfit. It took me a while to love it, but now I can say it completely seduced me.
It has incredible longevity and a powerful sillage; the quality is evident. To me, it’s more unisex, and I think a mature man would wear it better. It radiates elegance, but I find those roses very mature. I gave it several tries, but because it’s so strong and lasts forever, I ended up hating it until I gifted it to an older man. The funny thing is that when I smell it on him, I realize it smells amazing.
The moment I smell it, I can’t help thinking of the famous black roses of Halfeti; it’s divine and one of the most potent scents in my collection. In its dry-down, I detect a lot of oud; at first, it makes the rose sound boozy for 15-20 minutes, then it softens and becomes powdery, blending oud, rose, amber, violet, vanilla, and nutmeg. I perceive the latter notes more, though I’m not an expert. I think it’s a night scent, perfect for cool climates and special occasions, but if you like making a statement, you’ll wear it all the time.
Excellent, sweet, and smoky. It gets better with time. People compliment it and ask what I’m wearing. At first, I didn’t dare use it, but when I tried it again in the fall, I couldn’t stop. The best part is that you can smell it all day without needing to spray much; you just need to find the right amount.
Arrived with a June 2023 batch, freshly made. I wear it generously and have to lean in to smell it. Smells like roses with saffron, very linear. I’m disappointed, but I’m hoping it improves with aging as other reviews say.
Smells like patchouli-tinged roses, which aren’t new to my nose at all—almost neo-vintage. It’s that classic, old-school lady perfume: a dark, spiced rose with patchouli and vanilla, pure French school style like Gres or Guerlain. While it’s feminine, after 15 minutes it’s as ‘feminine’ as Moschino’s Toy Boy is ‘masculine.’ People call it a low-cost equivalent of Tom Ford’s Noir de Noir, equally potent and dark, though I don’t know that one and don’t need to. It leans more toward 1920s classicist perfumery or niche than the usual designer market. Great price and decent longevity (7-8 hours), but its unique scent won’t please everyone, especially those under 30 with standard tastes.
From an inexperienced nose: lots of character, for confident women who walk with purpose. On me, it’s potent with spectacular sillage and insane longevity. It’s not fresh or sweet rose, but a bouquet of nearly dried red roses among new book pages, powdery. Then wilting with a hint of life. As it dries down, freshly scraped vanilla with a knife, strong and natural. It’s dark, for cold days, for a femme fatale. Sophisticated, elegant, long-lasting, and full of personality. I love it.
Beautiful, powerful, and impressive. A dark, gothic gentleman’s perfume, like for Dracula’s bride. An opening of direct roses from Istanbul, old Constantinople, with stories of sultans and princes. It’s a journey through time to unsuspected lands.
Roses, violet, and geranium dominate; I don’t detect pepper or oud. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter and more powdery. It disappointed me: I expected something strong, dark, with saffron and pepper, but it smells like dusty roses. It reminds me of Elie Saab Rose Couture, which I can’t stand. I prefer mixed roses, like in Club de Nuit Imperiale. Ideal for rose purists. Scent 6/10, longevity 8/10, sillage 9/10, packaging 9/10, versatility 10/10, value for money 9/10. Would I buy it again? No.
I fell for it based on reviews, but honestly, it’s my pajama perfume: it makes me feel secure, but too powdery for me. At 34, I’d recommend it to someone older. My husband loves it because it doesn’t smell as powdery to him as it does to me; maybe my strong floral notes like geranium and rose make it feel outdated. Advice: don’t buy blindly, smell it first. It’s ridiculously cheap, but better to try before you buy.
Powdery and spiced roses, great sillage, and long-lasting. My mom gifted it to me; it’s not youthful but rather for an elegant lady with a strong personality. It’s not a bad smell, it smells good, just not my taste. When I run out of the bottle, I won’t be buying a refill.
Dark and mysterious. Mature roses, natural vanilla, and oud. A bit acidic with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s the perfume I’d wear as Morticia Addams.
I love this chypre; I’m tired of sweet perfumes. Finally bought it after following it since 2021. With the arrival of Arabic perfumery in Argentina, I’m thrilled. It has character. I can’t confirm the longevity yet because it’s new, but I’m glad to have it.
It has the same pros and cons as Club de Nuit: an opening that’s like a porcelain rose, very elegant but not youthful. As it dries down, it becomes a mysterious unisex scent, similar to Tom Ford Noir, with an aura of mystery. If I had to describe it with a color, it would be purple: elegant in men, feminine in women. It smells like pure purple every time I breathe it in.
Smells old, zero pleasant aroma.
It’s a must-have: lasts for hours and gets better with time. At first, it might seem synthetic or mossy, like classic lacquer, but then it explodes. It’s a woman with clear ideas, seductive, and 100% feminine, nothing masculine. It’s not for people looking for discretion; it’s a seduction weapon that leaves you speechless by 10 PM. At this price, its longevity is insane. Only for women with character who want to stand out.
I bought it blind based on the notes and comments. I don’t recommend buying it blind. It’s true that the opening is a punch, smelling of ‘old lady’ as they say (too ‘old lady’ even for me, who likes vintage scents and am almost 50). I mainly notice the geranium in the opening, not so much the rose; the spices on my skin take on a ‘medicinal’ nuance rather than oriental. Watch out with the sprays; it’s very potent and can give you a headache. It improves in the dry-down and gets better with time… still, I expected something else, something darker and spicier. I’m not sure if I should let it macerate; I’ll see. It’s not bad, but it’s not what I expected. I’ve tried it once, I’ll give it time and update based on that.
It’s unisex and smells like baby powder.
It left me completely enamored… What a beauty, what strength, what character, long-lasting and delicious. It reminds me a lot of Avon’s FAR AWAY ROYALE. It has such a powdery, vintage lead rose that, mixed with patchouli, geranium, nutmeg, pepper, oud, and exquisite vanilla, creates a resinous, ointment-like, camphorated, medicinal scent like an old apothecary’s potion. I was fascinated, I fell in love, and it seemed to me the most sensual elegance with character and huge presence… I want it, I must have it, and I’m going for it. I already love it with total and absolute obsessive veneration, and believe me, I’m not exaggerating at all.
I bought it blind based on reviews; I wanted to like it, but I can’t stand it. I tried it a couple of times, and my daughter said, ‘eww, what does that smell like?’ My baby got saturated with the scent just from holding him for a short while, and my husband hated it. It’s a very strong fragrance, and to my taste, more masculine.
Even though it’s marketed as feminine, I must admit it has incredible power from a masculine perspective. If your personality and taste can handle the complexity, because it might be difficult for many. What’s shocking is the opening, which reminds some of a ‘spinster from the 90s,’ or ‘old lady,’ as others say. But then, in the dry-down, it reveals its true potential and becomes incredibly gothic or mysterious. It has a classic, simple, and sophisticated spirit, for men or women. The first few times, it was hard for me because it lingers on clothes, and I’m not usually a big rose fan, but it changed my perspective. I don’t think people under 30 will like it, but as a masculine fragrance for night, it has an intimate, almost vampiric or hypnotic plus. Since it’s rare to find men and women wearing this type of scent, if you find a match at a party, you’ll hook up and things will happen—believe me, they’ll never forget how you smell; it has so much depth. Just don’t use it daily; you might get tired of it, and it’s better saved for something more intimate or to be the different one of the night.
I own over 200 perfumes, and this one is worth every penny. It’s so affordable I don’t know what to say; it’s delicious and rich, a floral-spiced scent. On my skin, it’s fantastic—a solid 10/10. I’m thrilled with the five I bought from the Nuit club; they’re all delicious. I’m truly fascinated, I’d buy them again, and I’m so happy to have discovered them.
Intense serious rose opening with pepper and saffron—nothing romantic, but elegant and luxurious, reminiscent of Tom Ford. It evolves into a woody, dense, earthy scent with a sweet touch that balances the darkness. The spicy heart adds oriental richness, like a millionaire’s jewel in Dubai. The base is dominated by oud, deep and masculine, softened by amber and vanilla. Impactful, neo-masculine aura, shareable yet powerful. Ideal for elegant nights or moments when you want to make a statement. My rating: 7/10. Strong and masculine due to the oud, hard to enjoy at 100%, but with an interesting balance between rose and amber.
Amazing! If you like incense-dusted rose with vanilla hints, this one is for you. Not for daily wear; it’s dark, nocturnal, and for occasions where you want to smell imposing and different. Not for all ages; you can feel that slightly vintage, dusty rose. But watch out—the projection and longevity are beasts.
I love it, so elegant. Rose, vanilla, woods… Unisex and smells incredible on men.
Super mature fragrance; I agree with the potent, vintage opening. The dry-down of dusty roses felt fresh and green, very similar to Sheikh Shuyukh Deluxe Edition, same vibe. It’s strong, not for everyone, and it didn’t please me as much as I hoped.
