Descripción
Odyssey Mandarin Sky Elixir by Armaf is an oriental woody fragrance for men and women. This creation, launched in 2025, unfolds a scent pyramid where the top notes combine mandarin, orange, lavender, cardamom, and black pepper. The heart of the composition reveals a balance between caramel, tonka bean, patchouli, and incense, while the base notes settle with the warmth of vanilla and the freshness of vetiver.

I’ve been wearing Sky Elixir for days, and honestly, if you have the Eau de Parfum, it’s not worth it. If you love collecting bottles, go ahead. But beyond that… the regular has more of a caramel touch, while this is more orange. They say it’s more concentrated, but I don’t notice it. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a top-tier aroma. Ladies and gentlemen, as a friend would say: it smells like a disco liar, someone who likes flirting and eating people’s ears. And whoever says otherwise is lying.
I associate it a lot with classic PR Phantom, maybe due to the lavender. It opens with rich mandarin and dries down to smell like Phantom with more sweetness. I recommend it if you find it for under 1000 MX pesos. It’s not for heat, totally nocturnal, and for cold weather if you don’t want to cloy.
Good fragrance like its regular brother, but less sweet. You don’t feel as much caramel, but more mandarin, making it more citrusy and perfect for hot climates. Lasts 7-8 hours and on clothes almost days. The trail isn’t as high as the regular, but it’s noticeable and doesn’t cloy because it’s not sweet. If you like the opening of the regular, this is for you. If you expected a more potent caramel scent, go with the regular, which is the one that resembles Scandal.
Strong opening: the lavender with citrus gives it a clean touch. It evolves like its sister Odyssey Mandarin but differently, maybe the cedar helps. I find it a better base than the previous Mandarin.
Short version: if you already own the previous one, don’t buy this Elixir (it’s just the name). It dries down like Odyssey Mandarin Sky but darker and less citrusy. I actually prefer the Elixir’s scent over its sister. WARNING: Odyssey triples its longevity. I’ve worn it for days with 12 sprays on skin and clothes, and it doesn’t last 4 hours, with almost no trail. I’m a fanatic of Arabic perfumes and buy three a month, but they last less and less. It seems that with all the fame, they don’t make perfumes like before. 80% of what I buy no longer has that Arabic plus.
Smells 85-90% like Escandal, but once applied, it’s a beast—except the projection dies after the first hour. If you want it to work, spray at least 10 times, but honestly, it’s not worth it at this price; the difference from the original is minimal, and the original wins on longevity and projection. Wait for the price and hype to drop. Right now, the regular Mandarin Sky is the better option: it lasts longer, smells identical, and is cheaper.
At first, it resembles Scandal Le Parfum, but over time it evolves toward Checkmate King (a clone of Scandal Absolu) due to the vanilla. Maybe my nose got used to the DNA since I use Mandarin Classic and Scandal Le Parfum a lot, but I don’t feel the sillage of those two. At this price ($60), buy the original Mandarin ($40-45) or look for testers of Scandal Le Parfum ($70-80), my favorite. It’s an all-rounder for any season or time. It could be a signature scent, but it’s very mass-produced. Everyone likes it, so I give it a ‘like’ but not a ‘love’; it’s not the perfume’s fault.
Smells 85-90% like Scandal. The opening is strong, but projection drops off in the first hour. To make it work well, you need at least 10 sprays. At this price, it’s not worth it; the difference from the original is minimal, and the performance is worse. Wait for the price to drop and the hype to fade. For now, Mandarin Sky regular is better: better performance, smells the same, and is cheaper.
Unnecessary purchase if you already own the normal version of the line. I stick with that one; I find this a bit lighter and more versatile. Still, both are for night dates and casual flirting; I’d say they’re quite youthful.
If you like Scandal Le Parfum, this is an absolute yes. I own both, and while it smells different at first, it dries down to be identical. After 5 hours on skin, the sillage and projection are the same. Maybe the original lasts an hour longer, but this Elixir sticks around for 8-9 hours. The trail lasts about two hours (or until you forget you’re wearing it). If you’re looking for something sweet, this is your cup.
Very potent. Chaotic opening. Rich and long-lasting dry down. I find it fresh and fruity enough to wear during the day or on relatively hot days if you moderate the sprays. Maybe it’ll improve once it macerates. Recommended. Youthful. A magnet for compliments.
It’s a perfume that will make people look at you again, a compliment bomb. I like it, though I need to get the classic Sky off my nose. Of course, they’re quite similar, but the classic has a stronger tangerine note. It lasts about 9 hours or more. If you want to stand out, buy it. I’m looking for something else for everyday wear and’ll save this for when I want to turn heads.
This perfume will make heads turn; it’s pure compliment bomb. I absolutely love it, but I need to get the classic Sky out of my nose. They’re very similar, though the classic has more prominent mandarin. It lasts over 9 hours on me. If you want to stand out, buy it. I save this for special occasions and look for something else for everyday wear.
Am I crazy, or does this smell like Invictus Victory Elixir with just a hint of freshness right out of the bottle?
It’s a dupe for Jean Paul Gaultier’s Scandal Parfum. Very potent at first with tangerine and orange, and good performance. It slowly transitions from a fruity scent to something very sweet, starting caramelized and ending vanilla; it’s a very pleasant and recommended perfume. Use it in winter, spring, and fall, and in summer only if it’s not too hot, because it can be overwhelming. The quality-to-price ratio is extraordinary. If you already have the regular Mandarin Sky, don’t buy this, but if you don’t have it and are looking for an excellent Scandal dupe at a great price, this is a solid choice.
I agree with Borismt; maybe they changed the formula compared to earlier reviews, but I bought it for the hype and was let down by the sillage, longevity, and the notes they claim to highlight.
Not what I expected. I thought 6 sprays would leave a trail, but it didn’t happen. It’s very muted, lacking that sharp citrus punch it should have, but instead very faint and overshadowed by the sweetness, which doesn’t help. Maybe my pH isn’t right, or it needs maceration; every nose is different.
The only difference from the original is that this smells creamier and more vanilla-like, less citrusy, and it removes that synthetic vibe the original sometimes has. It’s a real upgrade: if you’ve never tried it, go for it; if you already own the original, don’t buy this until you finish your bottle. It’s sweet, youthful, and scandalous—perfect for nights out or parties. It’s more suited for evenings and cold weather, but with just a few sprays, it works during the day if it’s not hotter than 30 degrees.
The only difference I notice compared to the original Mandarin Sky is that this smells creamier, more vanilla-forward, and less citrusy, almost eliminating that sometimes synthetic edge of the original. It feels like a clear upgrade: if you’ve never tried it, buy it without hesitation, but if you already own the original, this is redundant—just wait until your bottle runs out. It’s a sweet, youthful, show-stopping scent, perfect for going out, parties, and turning heads. It’s better for night and cooler climates, but with light application, it can work during the day unless it’s infernally hot; if it’s over 30 degrees, look elsewhere.
NO WAY, you promised users you wouldn’t disappoint… Honestly, they overdid it with this version (I’m not a fan of Arab perfumes), but give it a chance; this one is actually worth it, I’m serious.
At first, the orange and tangerine explode with great intensity, though they sound a bit artificial. Gradually, the caramel, lavender, and vanilla take over, softening those citrus notes. In the dry down, what stands out most is that vanilla paired with a clean, modern lavender, yet it still feels very synthetic. It doesn’t seem as heavy or long-lasting as others claim; after two hours, it’s already skin-scent. I’ll let it macerate to see if it improves.
